Beuce was watching Ohm's fighting closely. It seemed like he was using magic rivaling Beuce's own, but that wasn't quite right. It was originating from the sword. Ohm himself wasn't doing anything. An obvious solution to this would be to disarm him, but he doubted that would be as easy done as it was said. Beuce thought back to when he'd countered his deep freeze. A rune of fire had enveloped his body, canceling the two out. A thunder rune had performed similarly at the beginning of the fight. If that sword were changing the form of the magic it output, then maybe the secret to beating it was to be out and out better at it than its own game. It was a gamble. If it didn't work, there would be consequences. Hell, there would be even if it did. He'd be throwing everything he had at the kid. But you know what?

    Yolo.

Beuce's arm began to glow furiously at the massive amount of mana being pumped through it. "Chaos blade!" cloaked in darkness, Beuce dashed forward with frightening speed. As he passed Ohm, he gave a slash of his weapon, empowered by the darkness propelling him forward. Ordinarily, this would've been followed up by a series of similar dashes, but he cut out in mid-command, chaining directly into a different one. "Geo Impact!" Crashing his fist into the ground, a linear line of spikes shot upward from the earth at Ohm. Once again, the command had hardly finished before he was directly going into another one. "Zantetsuken!" In an instant, he was behind Ohm. "Mega Flare!" The enormous flaming sphere hadn't appeared but a second before he was on the move again. "Time splicer!" A halting time magic began to flow over Ohm, and Beuce teleported elsewhere. "Salvation!" Jabbing his fist toward Ohm, pillars of light shot up from the ground. This time, he had simply cut out of the command, he'd modified it. Used another one right in the middle of it.

Again, he was gone from time splicer. He was getting faster and faster with his commands. The lines between where one began and the other ended began to blur even more. "Ice Barrage!" "Triple Firaga!" "Tornado!" "Seeker mine!" "Glacier!" "Raging Storm!" "Shadowbreaker!" "Voltage Stack!" "Transcendence!" Finally, he leaped above Ohm, kicking off his wall of wind to gain height. "METEOR!" From above, a massive chunk of earth crashed down into the ground below. Beuce landed. His breathing was beyond heavy. He'd just spent more mana all at once than most people spend in a month. The fact we was even still standing was a miracle. The wind wall around them faded. One way or another, the fight between those two was over. It wasn't unlikely they could've heard the battle from the other side. Beuce coughed furiously, grimacing in pain as he did so. The light in his arm faded and it began to hang limp. He'd overloaded it. For the moment at least, it was completely unusable, even as a regular arm. Well, he hoped Stratos had things covered. From the looks of things, Hunter and Gwen sure didn't.

"Gwen! Cover up! Your lady boner is showing! No one needs to see that."

"Sapphire, I know I should be concerned, but I've had a rough day. You ever seen what it's like in this core? PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWERS....itty bitty living space. Now, take off your shirt and show me your boobs, then I'll care. If you would rather not, then piss off, Xero smells like **** so I'm sure she'll do it. While you're at it, get me some more booze. How am i supposed to drink away my planet troubles? You think you have problems, just sitting there running the entire universe? It's tough being a space rock you know. I have to sit here and give exposition and plotmodding powers once in a while and all i get in return is spiritual sex with some hot chick. Wears a guy down. Now. Tits. I don't see 'em. Fix it. "

R stood silent for a bit as his wife was crying and delivered the news of Gexln's death. He had a feeling. He'd felt Xero call upon his power, forming a blade of darkness. So, in the end, it was by his power that his friend met his end. No...Gexln had stopped seeing R as a friend long ago. R had few words. What could be said? Xero then walked in, her head hanging and tears running down her face. R turned to face the two of them. Something had to be said. But...what? He walked over to her and began to comfort her. "You're doing a better job than you think you are."

As if on cue, the other man present in the cave spoke up. "It's an awful thing, to lose someone you care about." I said, standing up and walking over to Xero. The blonde man placed his hand on her shoulder. Outside of the colors being brighter, he bore a striking resemblance to R. Of course he did. They were two parts to the same person. "Although, the thing you have to remember is that they'll never be truly gone. Keep them in your heart, and you'll never walk alone."

Zavion looked up to the sky as the phoenix was defeated. Their job here was done. Although, he did wonder what happened to Crybex. That guy was dangerous, no matter how you looked at it. In any case, he and Ghost exited back to Disney Castle. He looked around, it didn't seem like Dane or Crybex had returned. He wasn't sure if this was good or bad. In any case, they didn't have to deal with them quite yet. Looking around, he saw Freya and Lexcifur, but something was different about him. Something had changed in their hearts. Did something happen? If so...What exactly was it? He approached the two of them. Maybe he was interrupting something. He usually was.

Bartholomew was surprised when a bullet of fire struck him, lighting him ablaze. He let out a cry of pain. Fire was the most effective thing against him. He couldn't heal properly under it. Phantom had backed off, so he immediately turned to Samsara and started retaking his reserve HP. He continued to burn as he was healed, but he was healing nonetheless. Finally, the flames died down and he was once again restored. Bartholomew looked annoyed, glaring at the assassin. He would pay for that. He'd be made to fear. Summoning up his power, Bartholomew ran at Phantom. Crows began encircling him, becoming more an more numerous. These were fear made real. Physical manifestations of the raw emotion. As they clawed away at a person, they tore away at their sanity directly, as well as their body.

Ra listened quietly as Ander told the story of his past. He'd been working with magic since he was incredibly young. Ra himself had started as a young boy, but not quite as young as Ander had. He nodded slightly, once he was done. "I see." He said, giving a simple acknowledgement. He didn't let on his opinion one way or another, more so just said that he understood. He could see why he thought he would be a suitable leader for the mission. Yet still, he'd never heard of Dale's past. He was clearly the more experienced of the two, despite Ander's long training. He'd withhold his opinion for the moment. In any case, it seemed they had reached their destination. In front of them stood the temple. "Still no sign of Calxiyn. Perhaps she is within..." He said to no one in particular.

History: India is an enigma among society. For one thing, as far as most official records are concerned he literally appeared out of thin air within the past year. His past is one known only to him, and he's not one to share information without some sort of repayment, no matter what he may be giving. Only the most well informed of people could hope to dig up information on his early life.
Area of Study: The inner workings of the mind
    Employee Title: "Mental specialist"
    Weapon(s): Glaive
    Special Gadgets:
    • Short range teleportation device: By causing a disturbance in the force, this device allows him to disassemble his atoms, move them elsewhere, and reassemble them in less than 0.012 seconds, creating an effect comparable to teleportation. Though he can't move more than a few meters at a time, it is generally implemented in close quarters combat to confuse his opponent or opponents by never being in the same place for long. The device generates heat by being used, so repeated use within a short period of time will cause malfunctions, and should not be overly abused.
    • Magnetic Glaive Manipulator: Through use of magnetic force, India has installed a device into his glaive allowed it to mimic the effects of levitation.
    • Force absorbing gloves: A pair of gloves which can absorb large amounts of force to the inside while retaining the exiting force, protecting his hands in combat.

Though he couldn't deflect all of the cuts, Beuce was, for the most part, fairly accurate with deflecting the blows. Ohm was fast, and coming at him from nearly every direction. The metal of their weapons clashed over and over as they met. If someone was coming at you from everywhere at once, then why not hit everyone at once? Frost coated Beuce's arm as he seemed to be charging some kind of attack. "Deep freeze!" He yelled, spinning in a circle as he swung the magic enhanced arm. An ixy wind blew around him, freezing everything in the immediate area. There were three ways this could go. The first being that the attack went off without a hitch. Ohm would be frozen, making him an easy target for a follow-up attack, and likely winning Beuce the fight. The second being that Ohm had backed off. Within the confines of the wind wall, there wasn't much space the attack didn't cover, but safe spaces did exist nonetheless. Ohm could flee to that and avoid the deep freeze, but Beuce had spotted where the safe area was beforehand, so he could make a follow up attack quickly and keep his opponent on his feet.

The third being that Ohm had some kind of ability he wasn't aware of, and negated his attack entirely. That would kind of suck, but depending on how it was done, he may still be able to keep up the fight and pull out a win. From the looks of things, Ohm was a jack of all trades, using every element and physical attacks in tandem, same as him. Just from what he'd seen so far, he knew Kross had taught him well. He was glad he didn't have to fight Gwen and Hunter at the same time. It was likely he could beat any of them individually, maybe even any combination of the two, but all three of them at once would be enough to overwhelm him.

Bartholomew made no effort to evade the bullets. In face, he didn't even attempt to block. The bullet hit its mark, and blew a hole in his side, another traveled through the bone in his shoulder, cracking it and causing his arm to hang limp, and the third hit him in the thigh. All three successfully wounded him. It looked as though he would be killed right then and there, but he kept his grin wide. Extending his uninjured arm at Phantom. A light green stream of energy began flowing out of Phantom as his life force was sapped away. The blood faded away off of Bartholomew. His wounds began stitching themselves back into proper condition. His shoulder snapped itself back into place as the bullet fell from the hole in his shoulder. Once he had been fully restored, he stopped the drain, and readied his sickle with the same unnerving grin he'd had the entire time.

Ra's tense body eased as the mouse was defeated. They were out of immediate danger. He lowered this staff. Charlotte was right, they had to keep themselves healed up. He had more than enough magic power left after the fight. Seeing as how they were the most injured, he tapped his staff against the ground and a healing light washed over Ander. Next, a second cure for himself, followed by Therity. With that, everyone seemed to be in top condition. He looked onward toward the temple. it was extremely unlikely a rodent was the only thing barring their passage, so, he had to keep an eye out for further signs of danger. However, the most immediate problem was not an outside threat, but dissonance within their ranks.

Dale confronted Ander, accusing him of trying to usurp his leadership. Threatening him if he tried again. Ander responded by questioning his competence as a leader, saying he knew nothing of those in his company. The situation was tense between the two, and it would only get worse. Ander seemed to walk away. Ra strode up next to him. "Ander, You spoke of leading a company. If it was a long time ago, as you say, you must have been very young. I admit to some curiosity. Would you speak of it to me?" The gold-clad man asked. He was curious as to what leadership experience the man could have had. If he was to do his part in the guild's elevation to greatness, he would have to better understand the people in it. This was a way to do that.

Beucette had been pretty out of it, like, this entire time. In hindsight, maybe she shouldn't have eaten that mushroom she found back there. It looked pretty suspicious, but she thought it might help her grow bigger again. Oh well, no harm done. Probably. I mean it's not like someone set everything on fire and killed a bunch of fairies or anything, right? Probably not. In any case, they seemed to be climbing...a ladder. Beucette gasped in awe at the horror in front of her. Ladders were the spawn of the devil himself. An ancient evil, rivaled only by the humbling might of the door. She'd heard stories of doors effortlessly defeating even the most powerful of wizards with naught but a single sweep of opening. The tales of power so great were truly humbling.

Ladders, on the other hand, she'd never heard stories about. This could only mean one thing. That they were so frighteningly deadly, no one had ever lived to tell the tale of an encounter with one. Oh man, this was a nerve wracking experience. Literally sweating bullets, she put a hand on the ladder, and began to climb it. She wasn't dead yet, so she was off to a good start. One hand above the other, she climbed up it, firing sweat bullets at whatever was below her. Finally, she reached the top. Climbing up onto whatever surface was at the top, she turned around and stuck up both middle fingers at the now defeated superboss. "HAH! #getrekt ya scrub! Teach ya to mess with me!" She screamed at the ladder in her typical southern bell accent. She hadn't even said the word hashtag. She managed to give a vocal representation of the symbol itself.

In hindsight, maybe she shouldn't have smoked whatever was next to the mushroom...

Long ago, at the dawn of time, there was a war between gods. Almighty beings of infinite power. On one side were the first dragons. They were terrifying. No dragon alive today could even begin to compare to their divine heritage. Opposing them were the watchers. Not much is known about them, aside from that they wanted the world destroyed. To never exist in the first place.

The war was a bloody one that threatened to destroy everything that existed. The dragons were losing ground against their foes, and so their leaders convened. There was only one who could defeat the watchers. He was the one above all. The holy creator who was the true ruler of all existence. They prayed for a miracle to descend from the heavens. For him to save them.

Unable to ignore the plea of his children, the divine creator descended from on high. He told them that he could not intervene directly, and that what defeated the watchers would have to be their own power. And so, he told them, gather together the greatest metals they could, and he would forge them their salvation. When the metals were presented before him, he simply waved his hand, and bound them together. This was the vessel to hold the Dragon's power. The first sword.

He took the power from the dragons' very bodies, transforming them into lesser creatures. They were small, with softer hides, hardly protecting them from anything. Yet, the power was all poured into the blade. One of them, upon picking it up, knew that they could win with it. The once dragon king destroyed the watchers with the power of the blade. The watchers were defeated, and the world safe from eternal damnation. Though he was no longer in his prime, the king was still revered as a hero. And so, he lead them into the new age. The age of man.
Biography: Jedediah is the ruler of the elven race. He believes he is personally hand picked and chosen by the divine ruler of all creation. Whether he is or not has been the topic of many debates, but his power and leadership skills are undeniable. He has chosen to keep the elven territories as neutral ground, allowing fair access to both sides in the war to show that peace can exist in the world. He hopes that one day, the others will share his belief and ideals in this regard. Having made a pact with a golden dragon, he gave up his fertility. With this, he knows his son Trevor is the only child he will ever have, and worries for him constantly. Yet, at the same time, he realizes that to deny him the right to defend his home would to strip him of his pride. And so, he entrusted Calor, his pact partner, with the task of keeping him safe. Jedediah is an eccentric and boisterous individual, who knows no shame or humility. He has no problem with announcing his status as a "Herald of God" to all nearby. Though many have tried, not a soul yet has been able to even begin the shake his belief in this.

It had been decided. They were going to see the elves. It wouldn't be a permanent solution, but it should at least be able to get them out of immediate danger. Sinbad didn't say much else as they were lead out of the tunnel. There wasn't much else he could say. The plan was set. They just had to escape from the battle. They walked through the dark tunnels, light only by the light of his torch. Eventually, after about an hour of walking, they found their way to a sealed door, barred from the side they were on by stone beams. Sinbad handed the torch to the goddess, and placed both hands on one of the beams. With a groan of effort, he pushed it aside. Ordinarily, it would take at least two or three strong men to move it, but pact makers were stronger in every way than ordinary men. It had taken effort, but he was able to move the beam alone. He pushed the doors open and covered his eyes as sunlight cracked into the tunnels.

Stepping out, he walked up a set of stone stairs into a small field, overlooking the castle far off. It was set ablaze, burning to the ground. Even from this distance, they could see that the ground was littered with bodies from their sheer numbers. The battle had been a bloody one, but if the goddess didn't get away, then it would all be for nothing. "Come on, the elven capital is to the south. That'll be this way." He said before starting to walk off.

As it turns out, East was in fact, not south. Who would've known? Were it not for one of the others having the proper sense to know where they were going, they would've been wandering for a long time. In three days journey, they had reached a hilltop. Sinbad looked over in the distance. it was impossible to miss. The glimmering white city was enormous. It shone like a star fallen to earth, likely how it had earned its name. 'There it is." Sinbad said, though it needed no introduction. The group proceeded onward, approaching closer.

Two guards donned in full elven armor greeted them at the gates. They looked suspiciously at the group. Most were armed, and several beasts accompanied them. Needless to say, they asked who they were. "We are union refugees, fled from a recent battle." He told them, honestly. There was no sense in lying. The peculiarity of their company didn't leave much room for a believable story, anyway. Lying would only make them seem more suspicious. One of the guards tapped the other on the arm, and he leaned in close. There was some hushed chatter between them, as they looked at the party, but Celina in particular.

"A young elven woman, accompanied by a fairy. She can be none other than the goddess herself...I'm sorry, but we can't let you through. Your presence here would cause tension with the imperial trade that passes through here. The tension between them and what union merchants come here is enough, though there haven't been any actual incidents, but if the goddess herself were to come, then it might give the wrong idea of us fully siding with the union." The guard spoke apologetically, as though the news he was giving them saddened him, but he was only acting on duty. A voice called out from behind him, causing him to turn in surprise to face it.

"Nonsense! Our gates are always open to the weary travelers, no matter who they might be! As the herald of God himself, i can allow no less!" The figure that walked up behind him was a tall man, clad in full armor with a bright orange sash and light green hair. He wore a wide, friendly smile as he walked out to personally greet their visitors. "Welcome, my friends! I am Jedediah, ruler of this city and king of the elves! I apologize for the rudeness of my guards. He was only acting on what he thought was best. Surely you will join me in my invitation for a drink as an apology, no? We will talk over wine and song, a feast in front of us!" The man was cheerful, acting as though there weren't a problem in the world. The guards looked surprised by the matter, but parted and let the company through into the lustrous city of the elves. Inel'cinahe was open to them.

R didn't smile as Sapphire walked in and kissed him on the cheek. He didn't usually smile, but that didn't mean he wasn't glad of her being there. A small nod was what he gave. Sapphire had known him long enough to know this was roughly his version of a smile. The news she came bearing was grim. Gexln had resigned himself to death. He would either defeat Dane and live the rest of his life in exile to protect the ones he cared about, or die trying. He had been well aware that Gexln was struggling with the darkness, yet the man no longer trusted him enough to let him help. The grudge he held against Sapphire for what she did to his son, and him for giving her the power to do so was a strong one. In fact, R wouldn't be surprised if he had been a major factor in his struggle with the darkness. The path he had taken was wrought with loss and tragedy. He had lost friends. The people now turned against Sapphire, proclaiming her as corrupt. A precious few still trusted in R's judgement.

Then again, it wasn't his judgement that mattered. It was Sapphire's. His hands were stained with blood, much of it innocent. He was not fit to guide the people. Yet Sapphire had retained her innocence even through losing herself to darkness. She was the only kind of person who could create a world of peace. He still believed he had made the right choice. Before he could respond, Xero had run off. "Dammit. She's so driven by emotion that she forgoes logic She can help him, but not by chasing him wildly without any real knowledge of what she's going to do when she finds him!" He said to himself.

Then, Sapphire began reciting Gexln's words. It was clear just how far he had fallen. Gexln had been one of the only people he'd ever truly thought of as a friend. It pained him that he was like this. Sapphire questioned him what he meant. "Sapphire, Xero came to me, asking for help. Lexcifur has been exposed to Ansem's darkness, it seems. If he truly has acquired some residual trace of it from her...then it may well be because i failed to completely remove it. If this is so, then his circumstances fall on my shoulders. I had to atone for this in some way. I had to help her. I forged a cross celestial link with her, allowing her access to my power. Gexln likely sensed this link. The darkness in his heart immediately made him assume the worst of things, and in his mind he saw a relationship between us where there is none."

Caleb had used his powers of projection to create what appeared to be a shining bomb. When struck, it would trigger into a watery explosion. Surely this would be effective against the flaming creature. Caleb proceeded to scatter them all around it, ready for them to detonate. Drawing his blade, ghost held it parallel with his body. "Narukami!" Lightning crackled along his blade as gleaming petals emerged from it, energy sparking from each one. With a slash of his blade, a wave of energy flew out, striking one of the bombs and detonating it.

Hunter began running at him, attempting to strike him with a poisonous arrow. It seemed it was either devote his attention to defending against that, or block the cannon shot from Gwen. Or at least, that would've been the case had his partner not been bro as fuck and done a Hayabusa raid. The keyblade flew down and struck the arrow from Hunter's hand while Beuce turned toward Gwen. "Firaza!" He yelled, hurling an enormous fire ball at her, colliding with her ice attack and causing the two to cancel each other out. Firaza was a strong spell, but it fell short of being called an ultimate ability, thus he couldn't enhance the power of it with his arm. Ohm seemed ready to strike, and hunter was more than likely getting ready for another strike. So far, he'd been 1v3ing pretty effectively, but he knew he couldn't keep it up forever. He could do nothing but defend through all the attacks, never getting the chance to really go on the offensive. He had to split them up.

He looked straight at Ohm. He was the most split off from the rest of them. Making a quick sprint, he darted toward the mute. His arm began to glow a pale green as he punched the ground. "Tornado: Eye of the storm!" The thing about wind magic was that it had multiple forms in single spells. This carried over, even all the way to the top. This would be akin to the barrier form of the spell. A heavy wind began blowing from Beuce, a full storm was blowing from him, causing his coat tails to wave around him. The wind formed into a spiral, then shot up into the air as a column around him and Ohm. The massive storm barred all passage, preventing entry or exit. The wind still blew within it, but it could be fought in. It had formed an arena for the two of them. "Just the two of us now. I'll deal with the other two in about a minute. This won't take long." Though he was confident, he knew this wasn't the time to get careless. Taking a stance, he prepared for the inevitable clash of swordplay.

She was under his spell. The others couldn't see it, to them she would just be standing there in a daze, but he could see her fear. She was afraid of what she might become. The thought of it terrified her. But, something was wrong. It wasn't just her. There was someone else in her nightmare, offering comfort from it. Bartholomew growled angrily to himself. Someone had come to ruin the fun. Looking over, he saw that a fight with the goddess' agents was beginning to break out. "Hunting are we? Monsters too can be made to fear." Waving his hand, a dark translucent crow flew out of his hand, flying toward phantom and attempting to steal the breath from his very throat.

He watched Xero nod, agreeing to forge this link. So, he would have a connection forged with Xero then. A bond between their hearts. To be honest, he never expected this to happen. Then again, so many things had happened no one could have foreseen. This was simply another added onto it. "Alright. When you're ready, turn to face me. Not the projection, my true self." He said, alluding to the heart of the world Xero stood on. His heart. "Face me, and open yourself. I will do the rest." He said, putting his hand on her shoulder and fading away, back into his heart.

"Of course, the stipulation on this who arrangement is that you make an attempt to refrain from swearing at us in a drunken rage. I must say i was quite offended, myself." I said, feigning offense. With a chuckle, he too disappeared into their heart. Xero was now alone in the cave, save for the glowing red core which was their heart. Soon, it would be part of her.

Xero turned to face the Riel, as she was told, staring at the massive thing before her. It's a heart. Pervert. It began to hum. Something stirred deep inside Xero. She was reacting to him. A similar reaction stirred within the heart of Riel, reacting to the girl it was about to join with. A beam of light fired from the sphere into Xero's chest, The light faded from the core, leaving it dark as the light traveled into Xero's body. Then, the light burst back from her chest and into the core, restoring the light to it yet taking Xero's heart with it. Over and over it passed between them, in and out of Xero's body and into the heart of the world. The transition began to speed up, faster and faster, until finally it was forged into a constant beam, joining the two. Thinning, the beam dulled down, yet still tethered the two. They were both fully conscious now, and the beam dimmed into nothingness. At least, it couldn't be seen. Their hearts were now essentially one in the same, linked by an invisible tie.

One again, the figure of R appeared to her. "It is done. The link between us is forged."

As the phoneix showed up to block out the sun, the man whom they had set out to defeat fled the scene. "It would appear a creation of the goddess has shown itself. It may have helped us, but it seems it is meant to double as a warning to cease our search. I'd advise against giving chase to Crybex at the moment." Ghost said, looking up at the massive bird.

"He's right. If he's even still on this world, he's nowhere near us. Chasing after him would just eat up time with no results." Zavion had scanned the area thoroughly with his clairvoyance. It was no illusion. Crybex was outright gone. Zavion too looked up at the phoenix. His mother had a strange imagination. First a flying, laser shooting sting ray, and now a phoenix big enough to cause a solar eclipse. Well, he could see where Freya got her imagination from.

Wow, Stratos was pissed. He didn't know who that guy was, but he seemed to know Stratos. "You got him, Stratos. Leave the others to me." Beuce looked onward at the three who began to charge at him. Taking a stance with his keyblade on his shoulder and flames coating his arm as he gripped it into a claw, Beuce looked like a total badass in this completely meaningless stance. But he looked like a badas, and that was what counted. First thing that happened, Ohm ran up and performed a horizontal sweep. Beuce reacted quickly and guarded against the blade, pushing pushing back against him and breaking their connection. Next Hunter just ran up and tried to fucking instant kill him! What did he think this was, the DnD session? You can't just wear bosses as armor and tear people in half with your dick! Well, Beuce could still do that second one, it just wasn't detachable.

Point being, the chainsaw tactic didn't work, so he ran up and tried to punch him. Leaning to the side, the punch brushed past Beuce's face. Reaching his arm up, he wrapped it around Hunter's elbow, locking both Hunter's arm and his own in place. Hunter was strong, so he could probably break out without too much difficulty, but Beuce held on long enough to thrust is forehead into Hunter's bashing him in the face. All the while he was being shot at by Gwen, but who cared about Gwen? She was no threat. She was sitting there restoring her mana for no reason.

Bartholomew looked at Samsara as she returned. She leaped to Dane's defense, attempting to intervene in the fight against Lucien. The man had asked him to stop her. He had no real allegiance to anyone. He'd come here for one thing. Samsara. She interested him. How deep in her fear could he drag her? She walked over toward the battle, but he placed his hand on her shoulder. "No, Samsara. I don't think you are going to help him. One way or the other, one of them will be made to fear, but that's none of your concern." The man pulled her shoulder, turning her toward him. Looking into his eyes was like looking into the mouth of hell itself. So much agony and terror it could drive one mad. If Samsara went completely insane under his gaze, she wouldn't be the first, and likely not the last. In her vision, as though she had blinked and the scene was different, the forest around her was gone. Replaced by a maze. An endless maze of mirrors. In each of the reflections, Bartholomew stood behind her, speaking from every direction at once. "You've got yourself to worry about, after all."

A faint glimmer appeared in front of the girl. The enormous red core hovering above the floor hummed quietly. The world's heart was reacting to her. Eventually, in the glimmer, the man she knew as R manifested. "You say Ansem's darkness was still within you? Hm... The seeker of darkness himself is no longer a threat. I have sealed him deep within my own heart. He cannot escape save for overtaking me, which i will not allow to happen. If you think his darkness still remains within you, then i suppose it's possible that the sheer length of time you served as his host altered the very shape of your heart. Or perhaps you were similar to him from the beginning. It would explain why he found you such a suitable host...Nevertheless, we need to find a solution."

"It's a simple one really."Another voice said. It was smooth and cool. The source of it was a blonde man sitting in a very Archer like manner on a pile of rocks. "You extracted the darkness from her, so why not do the same for him?"

R turned to face the man, his expression unflinching, although not as emotionless as it had been in past days. "I. What do you mean? You know I'm incapable of leaving this chamber."

"-and bringing him here would risk him taking our void, which would require an intervention from Sapphire to stop, likely resulting in his death and acquiring Gexln's wrath, so that's out of the question." I said, continuing on R's sentence. "Let me be more specific. It's not so much you performing the extraction, as it is her. You give her the power to do it."

"Are you suggesting...?" R questioned. The blonde persona of his nodded in response. "Xero. How far are you willing to go to free Lexcifur of this?" He asked, although he already knew the answer. "There is a way i can lend you my power, but it will be difficult. We must forge a connection between us. The same kind i have with Sapphire. Our hearts will be joined, and our power will be given to one another. This is known as planet****ery a Cross Celestial Link. Similar to a D-link, but on a much deeper level. Sapphire cannot leave the boundaries of Riel, lest the strain from the link kill her under the strain, combined with that of holding Kingdom Hearts' power. Yet you, who have no secondary burden, would be able to traverse mostly wherever you please. You may be prone to headaches, and pain which will grow more severe the further from me you get. We already have a D-link forged, so, you need simply call upon that, and look deeper into your heart to find the line that connects us. When that occurs, you will tap into the Cross Celestion Link, or CC-link. My consciousness will extend to your body, and vice versa. We will both be living as both of us simultaneously. In short...Using this would not be so dissimilar to become a host, much like you were with Ansem. Knowing this, will you still forge this connection between us?"

As they walked down through the passage, they could hardly see through the darkness. The only thing lighting the passage was a torch Sinbad had lit at the beginning. The passage was long and curved, which would be a nightmare for Sinbad. He stuck as close to the others as he could, so as not to get lost in this tunnel. "So, the thrones found us, and attacked the castle, and here we are escaping from the fight. Although, as lovely as this tunnel is, we should probably think of what we need to do once we leave it." He said to them. There was a clear goal they had to achieve. Find somewhere to take the goddess, and keep her safe there. Well, there was one place that could be thought of as the most safe and tranquil place in the world.

"Unless someone's got a better idea, we should go to Inel'cinahe." Sinbad suggested. Inel'cinahe. The sovereign capital city of the ever-peaceful elven nation. In the elven language, it meant holy star. "They're a neutral ground in this war. The empire, so far, has more or less left them alone due to their refusal to oppose them. It won't last forever, but it's a temporary solution until we can think of something more permanent. King Jedediah has always been a benevolent ruler, if a bit eccentric from what i hear. I'm sure he'll take in a group of refugees."

    ~~Castle of the Goddess~~

Zeus had caught up with Thanatos and Ares, and together, the three of them decimated any opposition in their path. In a mere twenty minutes, they had made their way through the castle. No one could stop them. Higher into it they climbed, until finally they reached their destination. The chambers of the goddess. Entering the room, they found nothing.

"Gah, how did they manage to escape?!"

"It's difficult to say. Perhaps one of their ranks had a means of teleportation. There are more powerful magics than that in this world, after all."

"It matters not." Zeus said, interrupting the two. "The outcome of this assault is irrelevant. If what my brother suspected is true, then we've driven the goddess directly into our trap."

"Oh...? A trap set by Lord Hades..?"

"Hah. The stiff might be creepy, but he's a deceitful little *******. He knows how to make traps."

Zeus shot a glare in Ares' direction for his mannerisms, yet said nothing. It didn't matter after all. "I've sent Athena ahead. She and Hephaestus will be working together for this. Thanatos, you are to return to Hades for orders. Ares...I suggest you prepare yourself. After this battle to come, your lust for blood will be sated once and for all."

"You've got somethin' big planned. I don't want to know what it is. I like the surprise of who I'm gonna be killing." Ares said with a deep laugh.

The demons were dead, and the party had emerged victorious. Instead of receiving the penultimate musical note and being transported into another area to fight for the final piece, a man in a white coat simply appeared, having both remaining notes in hand. He reminded him of Base, in all honesty. His voice was smooth, and he spoke about music. However...There was something strange about this. He'd simply appeared out of nowhere, offering to give them the pieces. This was far too strange, especially given where they were. They were inside Mickey's past. While he supposed it was possible this was just a man he had known, he seemed out of place. Not to mention, even if he had just been someone Mickey knew, why was he in the book? If Mickey had sent someone in ahead of them, why didn't he tell them about him?

It just didn't add up. He didn't trust this. It was too sketchy. Beuce stood silent for a moment, his keyblade still in his hand from the fight. He didn't dismiss it, in the event they needed to fight him as well. He waited to see what the others would say. They each gave their reasons as to why the pieces were important. They were all right, and he was glad none of them mentioned the book and why they were here in the first place. It was better he didn't know about that, if he didn't already. If he'd come after them from the outside, then it was possible he already knew why they were there.

    Then a thought struck him.
He'd wondered why the apprentices hadn't finished them off outright. Yen Sid had been attacked for the book. That meant their group was going after it as well. It was possible that they were unwittingly helping deliver the book to them. Maybe this was another ally of theirs they hadn't met yet, sent here to try and get the book from them when they obtained it. If he was allied with the apprentices, then he was bad news. Although, even if this were the case, they were a bit stuck to do anything about it. He didn't display any outward aggression toward the man, though. After all, this was still just a theory. He opened his mouth to speak to the man. "Well, a friend asked us to get them for him. So, you want to tell us why you've got them, and what you're doing here?"

Zavion's arm quivered under the pain of the burns, and he panted at the effort he'd just put forth. He watched to see the result of his and the others' attacks. Crybex simply rose to his feet, completely unharmed. But...how? He was sure the attack had connected, and he knew it had worked. He'd seen the injury. Could it be...That his healing potential was that great so as to repair the damage from Shinryu that quickly? That was unbelievable. Even Freya would have a difficult time repairing an attack like that. How would they defeat him?

Zavion was bound by the ring of light, along with the rest of his group. He looked up at the man who summoned a brilliantly bright keyblade. Zavion knew what it looked like. He'd seen deep into the man's heart. A keyblade was a manifestation of such. Then he continued on to talk about the X-blade. What did he mean forge it? There was only one. The story went that it came into being when the veil which divided the realms of light and darkness was torn down and the two elements collided, fusing into a weapon of absolute power. As much light as he sensed coming from this man, He was infinitely off of that kind of scale. There only would ever be one X-blade, and that was the one held by his mother. Wait, that was it! All their power combined was nothing next to what she held.

"Sorry to tell you, but you're a little late for that. There will only ever be one X-blade, and it's in the hands of the goddess. Only way you'll be getting it is by defeating her, if you think you can handle her." Zavion said to him. If he so much as set foot on Riel, he was dead. It didn't matter how much healing he had. There would be nothing left to heal from if he challenged his mother.

Of course...They may have been struggling with him, yet there was a power infinitely greater than the one they faced. Although, while Zavion was trying to convince him to go after the goddess, that may not work. He seemed to be looking for the Hero, so there was a good chance he knew even he was incapable of defeating her. Still, Zavion was onto something. If she could but extend her will here instead...Ghost closed his eyes and bowed his head slightly. He began to give a silent prayer. "My lady. I am sorry to say that I require you assistance to eliminate this threat. My abilities have proven ineffectual against his regeneration. Unless it is nullified, i fear he will emerge victorious. I ask of you, use your power to win this fight for us. If you can do no more than this, at least divulge his weakness." Ghost said in his mind. She was divinity. She would hear his prayer.

And so he waited. If she heard him, a miracle would descend upon them.

Indeed, as they reached the final fight, Beuce has appeared as the world boss. Hunter exclaimed, saying that their boss fight was Dante. Beuce walked up to him, pointing his weird arm at his face, obviously pissed off with his words. "Listen here. That's Nero to you, buddy. I got the whole arm thing. My Dante days are over for this RP." He corrected harshly before walking back over to where his partner was.
"Good Sapphire. Can you believe this guy? Can't even tell the difference between Dante and Nero." He faced the group. Their party was bigger. Assuming Hunter and Gwen were the first two counted, that would bring the numbers to even, but they had Rinox and Ohm over and above that. Hm...Yup. Just those two. No one else there. He looked at Ohm. He looked familiar. Then it hit him who he was. He was Kross' son. The one he had told him to look after.

He gave a slight wave. "Yo. I need to talk to you after this fight." He said in a simple tone before preparing his keyblade. He looked to his side. Before now, all the fights had basically been Brawl missions, and so Stratos had murderstomped everything in their path with his face. However, this was a boss fight. Huh. He'd never actually BEEN the boss before. This would be interesting. Hopefully this was one of those bosses where you could lose and you'd just get a different cutscene. What was he talking about? Of course it was. He was Beuce. He was OP as fuck.

Throughout the events, Bartholomew had simply been watching. He liked Dane. Dane was scary. Although, he could stand to leave people alive a little longer. They couldn't be afraid once they were dead. Him and the girl named Juliet began to fight. Meanwhile, Her daughter was whimpering, obviously fearing for her mother. His head snapped toward a bush rustling, but he quickly dismissed it as nothing. He approached the girl. She wouldn't be afraid for her mother much longer. No, she'd have something worse to worry about.
