Ra made no sound as Dale chewed him and Gaius out for their attempt to steal the boat. Not a claim to defend himself, an excuse, nor an apology. The past was unchangeable. Whether the course of action was right or not, there was nothing that could be done about it now. In any case, it had actually proved useful, and identified them as wizards for the boatman to take them. Gazing across the water, he saw the sky turn dark in the distance, seemingly all at once, as though a line were drawn to mark the boundary between day and night. As Calxiyn pointed the phenomenon out, he began thinking of possible causes. "I've never seen the island in question, but it's entirely possible that's our destination. If a curse lies upon it, it may also have cast it into perpetual night." He suggested. Curses had a habit of causing various negative side effects. Especially if it were one powerful enough to envelope an entire island and turn the inhabitants into demons, it may well be strong enough to permanently cast the area into night. Approaching Dale, he asked about their plan of action. "Upon arriving on the Island, our objective is to simply find out more about the curse, then think of a way to break it." He had a feeling this wouldn't be so simple as it sounded. There had to be a reason this was an S-class mission. "Dale, there has to be more to this than we're being told. If that were all there were to it, this wouldn't be an S-class mission. You don't seem the type to charge in recklessly while barely knowing anything about the job you're going on. What else is there to this mission?" Ra asked, suspiciously. If Dale truly did know nothing more about this mission, then he had sorely misjudged the man for overlooking this. ~Whatever mansion or something. You know the one.~ When Beucette was told to make herself at home, she did so. Casually flopping onto the nearest seat, she took off her shoes and sat back. "I hope he hurries up. I'm starvin'." She was surprised at the short length of this post, but then remembered who her writer was, and briefly swore under her breath about what a lazy ******* he was.

It appeared that Gaius' recklessness had both been unnecessary, and proven useful simultaneously. As Ra had cast thunder, it alerted the apparent captain that they were wizards, and agreed to give them passage to the island so they could lift the curse, as the mission requested. Ander, meanwhile, said one of the stupidest things Ra had ever heard. He proposed that they simply make a boat....What? Did he have any idea how idiotic that sounded? Evidently not. He chose not to even respond. Nevertheless, they'd managed to secure passage to the island. However, they were warned by Bobo of the dangers this mission held. A curse that turned people into demons...Now he realized why this mission was an S-class. Ra gave a glance to Dale, though through his ornate falcon mask, his expression couldn't be read. What was Dale thinking? There was the possibility he simply wanted to prove himself by completing an S-class mission, but he didn't think him the type. There had to be more to it than that. Deciding against investigating further, Ra simply listened to the conversations the others would have with the ship's captain. They would be going on this mission, and Ra had faith they could accomplish it and successfully remove the curse. After all, the members of Team King had been against the odds when they battled Orpheus, and had come out on top over the demon he'd summoned. The only member they were missing was Thomas. He wondered what the boy was doing right now...Likely attempting to throw himself at every female within a 30 foot radius.
Ra looked suspiciously at Dale. Why would he take them on an S-class mission? He would bend the rules so much, and risk penalty for going on it. Not to mention the danger which would surely accompany such a mission. Dale didn't strike him as particularly foolhardy or reckless. Not like Gaius anyway. "If we must acquire a ship to take us to our destination, then it's best we split into pairs of two. We can evenly go towards each of the bo-" Ra was stopped by the sound of commotion from a little bit away. Please for the love of god let that just be a random criminal. Just let it b- nope it's Gaius alright. The red-haired mage had done what he did best. Run off on his own to do something stupid which Ra would likely have to participate in cleaning up. The man gave a heavy sigh before walking over to the scene of action. "What do ya mean we can't have the boat? I'm not about to let my shot at S-class go down the crapper because some sailor doesn't want to give us his boat!" "Sir, please go away." "Sure! Just give us the boat and we'll be on our way!" "I'm calling the guards!" "Gaius." "Yeah Ra?" "Do you know what is more detrimental to your chances of success on this mission than lack of passage?" "Huh?" "Prison." Gaius stopped for a moment. This...was true. "Well then i guess we better not let him get away!" "You are truly the vessel of my destruction..." Ra raised his staff and a volley of lightning rained from the sky down onto the fleeing sailor, scaring the hell out of him. "I'm afraid we can't let you do that. We need to book passage, and refusing us may be bad for your health. You'll find it's in your best interests to oblige our request." "Th-the rest of the crew isn't gonna go along with this! They're greedy bastards! Don't do nothin' without a paycheck!" "Guess we better do a little convincin'" Running onto the ship, Gaius began to lay into the workers. In fact, several of them he threw overboard into the harbor. Ra sighed. Well...they technically weren't supposed to be doing any of this, so why not go all the way? "Dale! It would seem that Gaius has...Obtained....a ship. Meanwhile, this man here was kind enough to offer to take us there free of charge. Is that correct?" Ra stared down intimidatingly at the sailor, who nodded furiously. "Y-yeah! That's right boss!" "Then we'd better head out."

The young prince sat in his room, looking rather bored. He seemed to be unable to find anything to do with himself lately. He looked around at his surroundings. He had a fairly nice room, but for royalty it was extremely modest and plain. It seemed like it would be the room of lesser nobility. Far from the heir to the throne. However, that was just the way Quinn liked it. He didn't think overly highly of his status. In fact, he wished he were closer to the common citizens. The closest thing to that was his friend Sasha, the servant girl who'd been born into her line of work. Outside of her, he'd been forced to socialize with all the other young lords and ladies, who he found unimaginably dull. Speaking of, she entered the room, and bowed at his feet. As she did every day, she informed him of his lunch being prepared in the great dining hall. "Come now Sasha, there's no need to be so formal around me. Sometimes it feels like you ought to be the royal out of us." Quinn said with a friendly chuckle. He stood from his chair and gave a casual stretch. "I'll eat in the dining hall. Come on, why don't you join me for lunch?" The prince said with a sincere smile. He'd never really thought of Sasha as a servant. More like a friend. He didn't really like eating alone, so it wasn't uncommon he invited her to eat with him. The guard, hired to protect the Strive family, stood watch as he normally did when the young girl named Thea ran up to him excited, and offered him a drawing of her and her family. It reminded him of the drawing of him she'd done a few days ago. The girl was accurate if nothing else. Balthar gave a warm laugh at her gift. He knelt down to her height and rustled the girl's hair. "Thank you Thea. I'll be sure to hang this on my refrigerator when i return home." He stopped for a moment, making a confused face. What was a refrigerator? He'd never heard of such a thing. Why would one hang a child's drawing on one? Food for thought. In any case, Thea's parents had called her into the next room, and the girl merrily skipped away. Her tutor... Right. He stood up back to his full height and resumed his guardly duties of...guarding...yeah...wow his life was boring. Among the musicians performing for Osric, there was an unfamiliar face. Although, not much of it could be seen through the thick golden hair draped over his eyes. From what could be seen however, the man could only be described as beautiful. Not handsome, simply beautiful. However, what drew attention to him was not his appearance, but his music. The sound to it was simply glorious. It was an orchestra all in itself. From his fingers, light began to stream and wave, dancing to the waves of music. Wrapping themselves around the room, they complimented the red and gold exquisitely. The display of lights was grand, masterfully put on by the bard. Once the song had ended, Taliesin stepped forward. Hopefully his display of entertainment was suitable for a lord such as Osric, and would get him the opportunity to speak with him. That was the real reason he was here, among the musicians.
