It is annoying, it is serious, and there are many different kinds of cases. They've all been mentioned already: the drama queens (and...kings?), the ones doing it for attention (although that could easily fall under the drama queen category), and the ones who have some seriously low self-esteem. I've also had friends that have contemplated suicide. One of them has had a rough life (well, really, who hasn't?) and didn't have much of a chance growing up. Not the best family background. It is a helpless and sometimes hopeless situation for everyone involved. The suicidal person has this idea in their head that death is the only solution, and loved ones have to watch feeling like there's nothing they can do to help. Sometimes the person in question is so determined that they're right that they won't be persuaded, and even though the loved ones feel guilty, there is nothing they can do about it. They cannot get inside the person's head and make decisions for them. The person has to come to their own conclusion. A friend of someone who killed themself should never feel like it is their fault or that they didn't do enough to help. I've got another friend who's always saying that he won't amount to anything, and I think it might be a cry for attention. Again, he didn't have a good family background either. He's dropped out of high school and is not on the best path, and although I worry about him and (figuratively) smack him over the head for thinking he's worthless, there's nothing I can really do to change his mind. He's not suicidal as far as I know, but these self-esteem issues are connected. People who don't believe in themselves and are not proud of things they done might resort to suicide. It takes just the right mix of personality traits and experiences for a person to be driven to killing themself. Wow, I kind of went off on a rant. Sorry if the thoughts aren't very organized, I was just kind of writing whatever came to mind.
They're fun to read and see which traits happen to match mine, but they don't mean anything. Sure, I share some Capricorn traits, but that's coincidence. I'm not obsessed with success and money like my horoscope tells me. Honestly, you can't sort people into twelve categories like that. No two people are the same, so no two people are going to have the same traits/futures.
Awesome. The cover art is beautiful. Can't wait to get it in English.
You can play as Sora in this game? That's a little boring, but it's fine. Hopefully you don't play as him for too long. Hey, at least we get to play as Mickey and Riku.
This is what I've always believed, and this also falls under my belief that Roxas is Sora's nobody, Xion is Kairi's, and Namine is for the both of them combined.
I think it's fine for both to pay. In a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship, I believe it should be balanced. If you notice your significant other has been paying a lot lately, offer to pay, and if he/she never pays, maybe gently ask him/her if he/she would once in a while. I don't think girls should expect the guy to pay all the time, because that's just kind of greedy. Yeah, some might consider it chivalrous, but that must suck for the guy, don't you think?
I don't believe it. People have been saying the world will end on certain days forever. Did the world end in 2000? Nope. Did it end on 6/6/06? No, it didn't. Therefore, I think everybody's getting all hyped up for nothing. It's just an attempt to scare people and mess with their heads. Nobody can predict the end of the world. I mean, how would the Mayans have known? It doesn't make logical sense.
You're not stupid, it was just a great observation. That is interesting, not to mention imaginative on the creators' part.
Good thing it still works for the DS. If there's one thing I hate about the gaming industry, it's having to buy new platforms every few years.
Strange that you play as Roxas, because he's barely in the trailer. It all centers around Xion. I actually think it would be cool if she was the main character--the Kingdom Hearts series hasn't had a main protaganist be female yet, so that would be an interesting change.
I love how it has the number day at the beginning, and how the DS-esque music sounds. Reminds me of playing Pokemon.
What I can see being depressing in this game is Xion. There's that whole thing where she says she just wants to stay with Axel and Roxas, and clearly she's very confused/angry in the trailers. I've got a feeling she'll have a similar deal to Roxas in the prologue of KHII. He had no idea what was going on, found out he wasn't supposed to exist, then went ballistic and became pretty upset. Yeah, I just watched the trailer again, and looks like it's going to be very sad. The whole Xion, Roxas and Axel friendship isn't going to have a happy ending, you can already tell.
Oh, the book is amazing! One of my favorites. It made me love Ian McEwan and want to strangle him at the same time, both because of how wonderful his writing is. I loved it dearly, but then was intimidated by it. I've got a long way to go before I've mastered the English language in such a way.
Oh awesome, they're re-making Gold and Silver? Score! I can't wait until these are out! Kind of stupid names, though.
The 1,000 heartless battle is fun, as well as the Xemnas fight where you have to dodge the buildings being hurled at you.
Well, if you don't count Riku (who I voted for), I thought Axel was a pretty good partner. Of course, I could be biased because I like the character, but I found him helpful and wished he could have been a partner for a longer period of time. As for Disney helpers, Beast, especially in the first game.
Well, that wouldn't really make so much sense. If you form an organization, you don't call yourself Member #0 because you're the first member. So logically...no.
...Japanese!
I'd like to see Kairi in one (I REALLY hope she gets to fight at some point. She desperately needs a chance for more character development). Hmm...definitely Leon, Tifa, and Cid. Haha...imagine the Beast or Tron in one.
Bored? Not sure if looking at the mood thing counts as cheating. XD
