Well, I'm not going to be able to tell for sure until I've played the game and actually become acquainted with Xion's character. However, judging by the clips I've seen, I think she and Riku might make a nice couple. Kingdom Hearts, though, does not put much emphasis on romantic relationships. Aside from the Disney plots and the whole Sora/Kairi/Riku love triangle in the first game, romance has hardly been mentioned at all. My guess is it won't play a part in 358/2 Days, but still, it's fun to speculate who might make a good match.
Well, I kind of tried to avoid spoilers, but I came across some anyway. Whatever, I didn't beat myself up over it. It's fine if I'm spoiled about some things, but I'm comfortable knowing that I won't truly get the whole experience until I play the game. Then I will get to see the mystery actually unfold, so I'm not bothered by any spoilers I see.
I agree, and I'm hoping your right that this is just another one of those obstacles that those who are discriminated against have to face. Years ago, it was a common mentality to believe that people of different ethnicities should not marry, just as it is typical to find people against gay marriage today. Hopefully, a few decades from now, people will be able to look back and be astounded by the fact that gay people were ever not allowed to marry. We're making progress, and if history is enough to show us that people can overcome discrimination, homosexuals shall gain their basic human rights soon enough.
The most recent movie I can remember crying at was Milk. I was a mess, and it happened both times I watched it.
I'm pretty sure this has been discussed time and time again...there's no doubt it's Aqua. What I'm wondering is where Terra is during this scene.
It's probably been mentioned a thousand times already in this thread, but Nomura has confirmed that Ven has no blood relation to Sora, meaning that he could not be his brother or his dad. Besides, Ven looks 15 years old, and Sora is 4 in BBS. How could he have been a father at age 11?
Oh man, do I have to choose one?? Woody and Buzz from Toy Story. Those two are too epic for words. Then there's Flick from A Bug's Life, who is just so lovable, the adorable Wall-E, and Violet from the Incredibles because she was interesting.
I really can't pick. I have wonderful childhood memories of the both of them. This is one of the rare Disney movies that has a great sequel.
Yeah, I kind of totally agree with you. :D
Oh yeah, I can't believe Gaston's wasn't mentioned more! His was pretty horrific in my opinion. All of the worst Disney deaths have pretty much been mentioned...I can't think of any more...
Emperor's New Groove is hilarious. Of course, they had to ruin it with a show that exploited EVERY GOOD JOKE THE MOVIE HAD. I hate Disney so much sometimes.
Ooh, a tough one. Let's go through them. Queen in Snow White: Hm. Well, her goal was to be the most beautiful, which is stupid in itself. Secondly, she hired another guy to kill Snow White. Why doesn't she do it herself? Then, when she does take it upon herself to off the girl, she poisons an apple. Come on, lady. I'm sure there's a better way to make sure she actually stays dead. Maleficent: What, she didn't get invited to a party and threw a hissy fit? If you really had to kill the baby, do it instantaneously and leave, don't wait until her sixteenth birthday. She could have saved herself so much trouble. Ursula: Hers was a clever plan, I will admit. True, she did jeopardize her plan by giving Ariel three days to kiss Eric, but she made up for it by sabotaging any attempts to do so. Scar: Well, he obviously read Hamlet and decided, hey, why don't I off my brother (who looks nothing like me) and become king? Once he did that, he kind of just looked around and went, "Uh...what do I do now?" Basically, he sucked at being king. I think even he knew it. The pride was starving, the land was barren, and he still wouldn't move. His plan was not well thought out. Jafar: Got to admit this guy was determined. He stuck to his plan, but I think his greed and lust for power totally got in the way of him. If he hadn't been so completely obsessed with it and kept a more level head upon getting the genie, he could have prospered. It was his own decision that led to his downfall, after all. Gaston: Okay. I don't think I even need to go into an explanation about him. He's a moron. Hades: The dude let his own anger and arrogance get in his way, as well as letting cronies do his work for him, like the Queen from Snow White. In short, I like Hades, but he's not the smartest of the villians. That Hun Guy from Mulan: He kind of just roared and could wield a sword (no rhyme intended). We didn't learn very much about him. In my opinion, the winner is Ursula. She knew what she was doing.
It absolutely should be allowed. Honestly, if two people love one another, complete one another, and think they make a good match, they deserve the option to get married. If it turns out they made a bad decision and aren't good together after all, they can get a divorce like any heterosexual couple in the same situation. People are just so stuck on the fact that it's two men or two women. Who cares? They love each other. People in love tend to get married, unless they're against marriage.
I'm kind of...well, stupid when it comes to realizing somebody is flirting, but I do notice some things. For example, little touches to the shoulder, hand, etc. like people have already mentioned, as well as complimenting the person a lot, smiling at them, hanging around them often, and similar things.
Of course. I admire the people I love, and I usually can't take it if anyone's being insulted, let alone somebody I care about. There are certain traits I admire about everybody I love, because if I care about them so much, there must be something I find fascinating about them in order for me to care (if that makes any sense. I apologize if it doesn't, I'm pretty tired today).
Well, Kairi is my favorite Kingdom Hearts character, and...I like magic. Yeah, that's basically it. No deep or special meaning, really.
Well, technically, if Roxas was Ven, he would be 21 by the second KH, not thirty. Otherwise that would mean there were ten years between KH one and two, which would make Sora twenty-four in KH2. But anyway, it's already been confirmed that Roxas and Ven are not the same person. I'm stuck on this Ven mystery. It's clear that Roxas, Ven and Sora are all connected somehow (of course, pretty much everyone in this game is connected to Sora), but Ven doesn't seem to be a nobody. Since we know he's not blood related to Sora, it's got to be some kind of thing we haven't heard of before.
Oh, no! That's so depressing. RIP Wayne Allwine. My condolences to his family, friends, and all those that loved him. Let's hope he's enjoying himself, wherever he is now.
Oh man, that's awful! Poor Matthew Pyke, although I must say that was amazing of him to write the murderer's name in blood. Smart guy. His poor girlfriend as well. I guess it's a good lesson for everyone--don't give out your whereabouts on the internet, or you might end up like that. D:
To me, reading, since words can be used in so many different ways to get something across. Of course, television has the ability to do that as well, but most of television these days is crap that's only there for mindless entertainment. It doesn't get you to think, and most books do (unless you're reading trashy romance). Video games can only teach you to an extent. They educate you on strategy and probably help your reflexes, but that's about it.
