What are you talking about? The playboy status was something of a cop-out role he adopted, Kirk used most space-women he encountered as a means to an end when he wasn't busy flirting with Spock. All the entities in space want to jump him, apparently. Anyways, Kirk couldn't possibly requite their affections. We all know who Kirk's really reserved for... Spoiler: shut up my otp is canon
Thus far the overwhelming majority has leaned towards Picard. Can't say I'm surprised. ob1 kenobi votes don't count, I warned you punks
Her actress did a wonderful job with the character. Kate Mulgrew gave life to what would have otherwise been a soulless character on paper (she often dealt with a poor script). Seriously, after seven seasons can anyone give me a stable and/or non-contradictory description of Kathryn Janeway's personality? She had so many seemingly 'out-of-character' moments that it became a facet of her personality. The best explanation Mulgrew can give us is that she is bipolar. That's not a canonical fact, it's Mulgrew's headcanon. I always thought Janeway best exemplified my theory that nuances in acting really matter.
You are not a bad person, although you would probably respect yourself a ton more if you tackled such needless anxieties head on. They are probably baseless, and in the case they weren't? It's as you said, worst case scenario there is a mutual sense of unfamiliarity. Perhaps it would indeed entail a deal of awkwardness, but you should act heedless of that. It would last a minute, no -- three seconds maybe. You might replay the scene in your mind, liken it to a painful laceration through reimaginings. In all likelihood however, the persons on the receiving end forgot it soon as you walked out the door. Out of sight, out of mind. Hesitance may be misread as unfriendliness; your friends cannot read your mind.
Obligatory captain poll.
Why do you own different varieties of clothes? Why don't you eat the same meal every day? Why does Halloween fall on the 31st, a Thursday? Why couldn't it succumb to the desires of school children around the globe and fall on a Friday, or a Saturday? Why are plane flights not always prompt or on time? Why do we occasionally have three day weekends? Why do some pups, cubs or kits in a litter die? Why does Lei Yadi Min have twelve fingers and fourteen toes? Why is the sky blue? What prompts you to question events that were decided purely by whim? There is no grand reasoning behind any of it, save for perhaps the last few questions which actually rely on scientific reasoning. Pups, cubs or kits die for a multitude of reasons (genetic defects, competition over resources, et cetera). Lei Yadi Min has Polydactyly, which is not the name of a dinosaur but rather a medical condition. The sky is blue because air molecules scatter more blue light than red (Rayleigh scattering). You need to start asking questions that can be answered.[DOUBLEPOST=1379145334][/DOUBLEPOST]I think you should watch this video, Amaury. It may be substituted for an answer to your thread.
"ONE DAY SHE WILL TAKE HER GRACE AND GLORY ELSEWHERE AND WE WILL ALL BE POORER FOR IT" Ah, you flatter me. But it isn't surprising in the least,...
Sketcher, out of earth, different. Maybe back of class as well, although I don't recall going through particularly extreme lengths to sit in the rear. I feel 'different' could be switched with 'book reader,' or there should be a book reader category included on this list.
Good to hear.
Spoiler Your worst nightmare. Mine, too.
What is the strangest book you've ever read? What was your first Halloween costume of? If you could meet any historical figure vis-a-vis, who would it be? Is there any person from history you think is oft misinterpreted? Do you appreciate small talk?
Still unwell?
Aerith, the little troll. I respect how she grew up in the slums, and navigated it despite the inherent risks it posed to her person. Cloud's woman friend is picked up by Don Corneo? That's alright, let's milk the situation for all it's worth; a fine opportunity to tease Cloud: time to play dress up! She doesn't care, she giggles in the face of adversity. Fucks given? None. Hard not to like her. I like Cloud for becoming a figure worthy to aspire to, emerging from a shy cocoon so to speak. He may have been a fraud at the beginning of the game, but nigh the end he was a respectable first class (if not in title than in strength alone). Unfortunately newer variations of the character have sort of diluted his achievements, Advent Children for example pretty much undid previous character development. Lost self-assuredness, bravery... I suppose we don't speak of Advent Children in terms of canon though. Red XIII as well.
Haven't seen it. I didn't like how they changed Eli's gender (literary purism) -- or perhaps they missed that 'she' was a boy since the actor was female? Subtext in the Swedish film, an open fact in the novel. I'll probably watch it eventually anyways.
Let The Right One In Not in-your-face horror, but horror nonetheless.
You can say that again, sister. Although I am partial towards Iceland's Felis silvestris catus myself.
This song is so sugary I shall contract diabetes.
What happened to Young Justice? What happened to Green Lantern? What Ever Happened To Robot Jones? *cackles*
Must pluck my eyes out and drop them in a vat of acid. I'd rather be blind than for my line of sight to be permanently dirtied, thanks.
Except Ben 10 wasn't really a part of my childhood so my response is mainly just ok
