Well, do to popular demand, I decided to make my own little thread, which I will hopefully update from time to time, showing some of the art I've done both in drawing class and in my free time. :)

These are 5 minute or less Gestures done in class, one is a rose, and the other is a female mannequin:

Sforzato, It's not a debate or critique in the way you see it. I'm an artist, and that's how we critique art. It's a good metaphor for life, I believe. But thats just my view. I find myself becoming more aware of people's intentions and being more understanding, at the same time I'm trying to change the way I say things because it can hurt someone's feelings. It's like treat people how you want to be treated, would you want someone to talk to you like that? I understand your point, it makes sense, but it's just a different side of the plate. I'm not saying I'm right or wrong, I'm suggesting a different option.

I wish more people my age and in general were like this, sometimes...Instead of just jumping ahead and putting people down without suggesting a better way, etc.

IM BECOMING SO ZEN AND STUFF. WE LOVE EVERYONE, EVEN HOOKERS, haha my professor said that last part, it's funny but true...you should just try to like people and they'll like you back. CIRCLE OF LIIIIFEEEE

    My brain hurts...XD

Omg I really like this cover! It's different from the other ones in that, like what some others have said, Sora is the one falling and Riku is rising....I SMELL PLOT TWIST!

Nomura himself said that the KH storyline will continue even after KH3. I don't think we need to worry about it "dying", although the time between might be so long that it, in a way, "fades" but I don't think it will ever go away, just like Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy, and etc.

In Dissidia they pronounce it "Tee-dus"

...but I wanna say "Tie-dus" because in English it sounds better. But yeah, in Japanese the "i" is "ee" just like in Spanish. so, yeah.

See, the way you said it less aggressive and more insightful. That is the difference. It's almost like you're using a helpful tone, if that makes sense. Makaze worded his response in a way that kind of makes him (Mike) seem like an idiot or something to that aspect, and to someone like him he may take it harder or more to offense than others. People need to be ambiguous in a way, that they can say something and try to not put someone down in the process. You can make a statement, opinion, etc. without it being like an attack or too straight forward. The way I do it is to nicely suggest something that can help, with, for example, the wording. Don't say "oh, well your wording is stupid or sucks and it sounds childish or cheesy. what do you know, la la la." Instead say "well, I think you could use words that are more of your own and express what YOU feel and not what something else does....etc" something to that extent. see what I mean?

I like that you ask these questions in a way that helps him figure stuff out better next time he decides wants to voice something like this to supposedly help others, I say "supposedly" because I have a hunch its to help himself at times, and that's not a bad thing necessarily. Also, its good to just say whats on your mind, not borrow words. Although, sometimes when you want others to take your advice or take you more seriously, its an impulse to find other "fancy" words to make that come across.

See how I can say something and not sound...negative? I know its just words but in a way its like i'm trying to talk in a calm voice, no attitude or arrogant tone, etc.

Thanks, I hope it makes sense... what I'm saying...

Makaze, I'd like to see you say something that will try to motivate someone and at the same time make them feel a little less like sh it and more like someone who should accept who they are and try to do the same for others. Although you might have some point about the "not major struggles" which I assume you mean something like death of family, homelessness, poverty or something to that extent, there are just as important struggles that affect self-confidence, positive thinking, and outlook on life which are just as important. In my opinion, psychological struggles or problems are more dangerous in the long run than something "superficial", even though I'm not saying that it should be ignored. You don't have to make yourself have a tough life or experiences in order to be wise, you can observe from the outside and try to analyze the situation. Most of the time it works better than if the person themselves try to accomplish it. It's always easier to help others rather than yourself, no?

Please try to consider someone's intentions before jumping to critique, and that goes for everyone in general.
