A long time ago a man of Oni and Human blood saved Japan from destruction at the hands of evil with the powers granted to him. His powers came from 7 magical weapons he wielded. After his death these 7 weapons where said to be sealed in Japan. The swords keep themselves protected drawing their powers out as a trial if ever they where to be used again. To this day no one has obtained a single one and they have been long forgotten. The year 1587, Japan. The sky turned black as legions of winged beast flew over head dropping multitudes of creatures down onto the cities, towns and villages. They slaughtered anyone who got in their path. Nothing could stop them until suddenly they stopped moving. The image of a man appeared in the sky. He said this: “This is only the beginning, I will am in control of this world now. Any who defy me will be destroyed.” A light fell from the sky in that instant, it hit 7 cities. In this light was the power of the Oni, given to 7 individuals in the form of a gauntlet. A voice echoed through the wielders minds: “Seek Salvation” The creatures disappeared back into the world they came from along with the man on the screen, they would be back. Every now and again a few demons would appear in the wilderness and attack travellers. The 7 had no choice but to do as the voice had said. They felt the need to go to Honoji temple, a ruin once said to be the showdown between an officer and his lord. The 7 would soon meet.
