Adalric listened as he accompanied the group into the tunnels. He knew that his master had asked him to make friends with them but...It was a little difficult to just insert oneself into an already existing group. In addition, two of the three he was with were the ones from the realm of darkness. He was having trouble finding anything to contribute to the conversation, so he was content just listening for the moment. He couldn't quite agree with Take's logic. Hide it in a bad hiding spot, so that no one would ever think to look there. While it made sense in theory, it seemed to be overthinking it quite a bit.

Shortly afterwards, they came to a fork in pathways. It seemed these tunnels never ended. His head perked up as he heard Torrin speak his name.
"Oh, yes?" He listened to the young master's concerns. "Well, discretion is the better part of valor. We can't beat the light chaser in a head on fight from what I've heard, so misdirection is essentially our only option at this point. From a purely strategic standpoint the best course of action would likely be to just get one of the princesses, Aria, for instance, and keep her in the council world for an indefinite amount of time. That way, he'd never get all seven and we could simply wait out the light chaser until he died of old age, as all do eventually. Though, obviously we can't simply imprison her. So this is likely our next best option. I understand your concern, but we haven't got a lot of alternatives."

Luther stared on as the man produced a floating array of weapons and had them fight him on their own. That was...troublesome. He wasn't sure his misdirection would even work against them, as they appeared to fight according to his will, but not his focus. Nevertheless, Luther wouldnt get very far in combat if illusions were were all he could do.

He quickly moved in front of Melus and began parrying as many weapons as he could. It was annoying to say the least, as parrying was about all he could do, due to there being no body wielding them to counterattack. For now, all he could do was simply hope that Lea would be able to defeat the swordsman quickly.

Adalric watched the two "heroes" work, and began to read them. The dark skinned one seemed to, outside of his ice powers, be a regular human. What's more, it didn't appear to be magic so much as an extraordinary ability. Interesting... As for the other...He was, well, incredible. His strength and durability we're monstrous, the latter possibly exceeding his own. And his speed wasn't even compromised as a result. In terms of raw physical ability, he was easily on par with any of the masters. Technique and magic were the only things that put them above him in terms of efficiency in battle.

His concentration was pulled away by the sound of maniacal laughter. While he didn't get enough of a look to read the clown, he did become aware of something as he spoke. He realized the spent stamina from that last battle hadn't returned. While he was mostly fine apart from mild fatigue, he couldn't expend his resources recklessly until this device was dealt with. There seemed to be a little bit of a dispute about whether or not they should search for the device now or rest first.

Adalric chimed in, approaching Mr. incredible.
"I realize this might be a tad presumptuous of us, but do you think you would be able to help us search for this...magiteck device he spoke of? It's... detrimental to our strength to say the least, and we'd almost certainly be able to deal with them if it weren't for it. I understand you're a hero. You want to stop them from performing random acts of terror like the apartment building yes?" Adalric then turned to Thallasa. "Would it be alright if I went with them to search? I'm alright on stamina, and I'm not particularly hurting for rest."

Adalric swatted aside a blizzard spell with his hand, leaving little more than a small bruise on it. The enemies were nearly dealt with, and so moderation had little value now. His keyblade still empowered with water, he ran forward into the comparatively small cluster of icy cubes and began dispatching them as quickly as he could.

While Adalric was not nearly as proficient at dispatching the heartless as many of the others, namely torrin, he took his time about things and approached the situation calmly. Of the heartless, it seemed the large shield bearing heartless and the slender black ones didn't deal elemental damage, which he'd developed an innate resistance to. Logically they should be taken out first. Putting a finger to his keyblade, he ran it down the weapon and it was engulfed in a torrent of liquid.

Taking the offensive, he quickly slashed at the heartless' chest. While the blow itself didn't quite take it out, the rush of cutting water that followed did. Quickly reacting to another one that attempted to scratch at him, adalric did his best to guard against it, though he suspected it wouldn't do meaningful damage to him anyway. As the claws and the majority of their attack was deflected, he watched it go into the ground, seemingly little more than a shadow passing along it. Adalric concentrated for a moment, and ran to the location it was likely to pop up at. It's head had barely left the ground before Adalric's keyblade and the rush of water that followed it plunged into the beast's head.

Beuce looked around at most people changing outfits. He'd gotten his current outfit, minus the cloak, his homeworld in the castle of illusions. Come to think of it...if it was an illusion, how were they existing outside of it? Would he be naked when they got back to the realm of light? ...was he already naked and no one told him? Beuce suddenly started to sweat nervously as his eyes darted around for the nearest clothing shop. He followed behind Stratos and picked out an outfit for himself, but didn't put it on yet. It was more for a just in case sort of thing.

Now that he had insurance against catastrophe, he took the time to look at everyone else's outfits. Lunas was by far the most eye catching. He clapped a hand on her shoulder. "Well don't you look snazzy." He commented, peering at the crown atop her head. Beuce looked to Stratos after his comment about their last downtime period being disneytown and put his hands up in a cautionary manner "Excuse me sir, but could you kindly not? I prefer my downtime to be unjinxed. Id rather avoid having a meteor sent by no heart containing all the evils of the world falling on us." He mused jokingly. "Well, we're all dressed up and have nowhere to go. Guess we'll see if there's anywhere in the realm of light." He motioned his thumb over his shoulder at the portal to the realm of light. Their ticket out of here they'd fought to win.

Luther stood up from his seat as soon as the voice rang out. He'd learned after Krista that their enemies could come at them at any time, and from anywhere. The man was apparently here to take out Lea. He was about to step in anyway, and Melus doing so only contributed to his decision. Removing one of his gloves, he threw it on the ground in front of their new "guest".

"Im not sure what tricks you have up your sleeve that you think you can take on all of us, but we killed the last person who walked into our base and pulled a stunt like this. What's to say we can't do it a second time?" Luther brandished is rapier and took up a stance. From the looks of things, he appeared to be a swordsman. That was good. His fighting style in a clash of blades was so much of an advantage it was all but cheating, if there were such a thing in a fight. Many swordsman more skilled than he had fallen to his blade, unable to keep up with it.

Adalric looked around the new world, briefly taking in the sights before a roiling explosion flared to life behind them. Nearly all of the others rushed off to save civilians, with the exception of Torrin and Thallasa. The former went off to chase down the perpetrator, while the master who was leading the mission went to tend to the wounded brought out by the other keyblade wielders.

He was sure that with their numbers, they'd be able to rescue them all in a timely manner, so Adalric rush to Thallasa's side and began receiving the wounded and tending to them both with cura spells and mundane medical practice. While he was hardly an expert in the latter, he had basic enough knowledge to be of assistance. Once it seemed to other wielders were finished clearing out the building, he motioned them over, ready to give similar treatment to any of them who needed it.

Adalric's breathing was slightly heavier than usual when aster walked in, despite the amount of training he had been doing. If there was a single thing he had over likely any of the other apprentices, it was endurance. He dismissed his keyblade as soon as she walked in and directed his full attention to her words. An... assignment...? Master Thallasa? He gave her a puzzled look, but decided he would find out soon enough. He nodded in acknowledgement, and began to walk past her, when she wished him good luck.

"If...if you believe there is no harm in it, I'll trust your judgement. I'll be wary of the two from the realm of darkness. They seem sensible, but we can't be too cautious. The light chaser alone is threat enough, let alone if they turn out to follow the same path as what Tinarah and Master Gero experienced." He continued walking, but briefly stopped and looked back at the blonde woman who trained him in his art. "I will do you proud. I promise to do what's best for the worlds" With that, he left to join the others and depart for their mission.

Adalric throughout the whole meeting with the council seemed... distant. He'd listened to Tinarah's story. He'd heard the words of those who came from the realm of darkness. He payed attention to Aria. His gaze, however, never left the master of masters. He'd never seen the man before yesterday, and even that had been for mere moments. Adalric had a discerning eye better than most. He didn't really need to see someone fight to understand how strong they were, it just helped. If he was able to observe them long enough, he could even tell how they fought.

Master Gero was so...powerful. it kind of scared him, honestly. If he was this powerful...what was the light chaser like? The thought sent shivers down Adalric's spine. They could run away all they liked. They could sit tight in their castle and guard the princesses, but eventually there would come a day when they had to fight him. That was why Aster had started training him. To make up for the gap left in Gero's wake when he was believed to be dead.

Finally, the meeting was adjourned and all the apprentices left the room. Several of the others broke off into groups, seemingly troubled. Qamar had a newfound fascination with the master from the realm of darkness. He understood why, he just...prayed she didn't come on too strong when she interacted with him. She was the type to forget that not everyone was as headstrong as she was, and that she'd know these people for less than 24 hours.

He stood by himself shortly outside the hall where the meeting had occurred, processing what had transpired. Suddenly a voice snapped him out of it. Take had invited him to go on a run with them
. "Oh um..I...Ive got something to do I'm afraid. I'll catch up later if You're all still together." Adalric politely declined Take's invitation and began to walk toward the training grounds. A courtyard in the middle of the castle. It was secluded, and had various flowers growing around the perimeter of the smooth stone pathways that led into the open center. This was where he spent nearly all of his time that he wasn't training with Aster. He often spent time with Qamar here, but that was usually because she invited herself in and he was too polite to refuse her.

A glimmer of light and a few ethereal petals emerged from his hand, and his keyblade formed from nothing. He took a deep breath a few times to steady his heartbeat in preparation. Closing his eyes, he held his keyblade nearly parallel with his body, leaning slightly outward. Quickly, he deflected a strike that hadn't really been there at all. He sidestepped just as soon, blocking another phantom strike.

In nearly ten minutes, he only found the room to strike back three times. Meanwhile, he defended flawlessly. Each Parry, each guard, was very well executed. Such was his forte. Eventually, he seemed to have found an opening in whoever it was that he was fighting's defenses and kicked what appeared to be their ankle out from underneath them, followed by plunging his keyblade toward the ground.

Panting, adalric opened his eyes, his hands trembling. After one of his "training sessions", he always found himself incredibly wound up. He dismissed his keyblade, and sat down, trying to steady his breathing. Once he was ready, he stood up to face his next opponent.

Beuce, matching Kaida's excitement as she ran up to partake in the high fiviest of fives. He knew exactly her intent was, down to the wording. "Yeah!" He exclaimed, smacking her hand with his already raised hand, making a 'cling' sound as their hands collided. He grinned, now hyped up to be a master. Beuce groaned and held his forehead, laying on the ground. He'd taken quite the hit at the end there with the giant laser cannon. He managed to get up after what seemed like it's last act of retaliation just after the fight ended. He watched the events with Judy and Nick unfold, waving goodbye to them as they left. "So, is that it? This was the third mission. That may have been the last of it. We...we might be able to go back to the realm of light now." Beuce said to the rest of them. It seemed like it had been a long time since Mizrabel's castle. He had almost forgotten that they were thrown into the realm of darkness. What was going to happen to them now? What would happen with Aux? Could they beat him if he turn on them?

Adalric could hardly sleep that night. We're it not from the exhaustion of preparing several times as many meals as he was used to, his nerves probably wouldn't let him sleep at all. He folded his pillow over his head, trying to drown out ambient noise. Things were getting complicated...and he had a feeling that come tomorrow, they were about to get even worse.

When morning finally broke, he rubbed the sleep from his eyes, got dressed, summoned his keyblade, and performed a few maneuvers with it. If anyone had been watching (which he hoped with all his might no one was), they'd be able to tell they were defensive maneuvers. Parries, sidesteps, and the occasional counter. His eyes were closed, as though he were fighting some invisible enemy in his mind. In fact, that's exactly what he was doing.

While it wasn't quite real combat training, it was surprisingly not as far from it as one would initially think. The enemy's movements were akin to that of one he would realistically face, and that allowed him to hone his own movements accordingly. This was a fairly light combat, for lack of a better term, due to his room not being a terribly large surface. After a few moments, he fell backwards and opened his eyes, evidently defeated by whatever it was his mind had conjured up.

"Master, you really are stupidly strong..." The man muttered to himself after a sigh. Rising to his feet once again, he dusted himself off and went about the rest of his morning activities. Once he was ready to set out, he grabbed clipboard and set out to find what their guests wanted for breakfast. Trying to keep track of everything in his head last night had proved nightmarish.

He headed to the rooms in no particular order, or at least, he would've if the first room hadn't been something that required his immediate attention. He didn't knock on the door as it would've been pointless considering the thing was broken in half on the floor! What in the world had happened here?! There was the man Qamar had almost gotten into a fight with and a very pastel looking girl sitting on a bed together, and someone else who he only remembered their order yesterday. Adalric only stood there, mouth agape as he looked at the door and then to the three individuals in the room. "I..what..." He breathed a heavy sigh. "What do you want for breakfast...?" He said with a defeated voice, dismissing the door for now. He'd fix it later...

The man made something of a sour face at Qamar as she said to stop apologizing for her. "I'll stop apologizing for you when you stop making me." He sighed, glad that he'd narrowly avoided things coming to blows. Nodding to Boreas, he stammered out "Y-yes. Id very much appreciate that." Adalric paused for a moment, stopping to see these new arrivals. They also seemed to have gone through a fair bit of strife recently. One of them even seemed to have a broken wrist, and the blonde master who looked like his own rushed over to him, acting like he was her own child.

From what he gathered, he was her student. That made sense. It wasn't uncommon for masters to develop a familial relationship with their apprentice. Just as he was about to leave, he felt something like needles run across his calf. It didn't hurt so much, but it startled him and send a shiver up his spine as he turned around to see a small cat purring and looking up at him. Recovering from his heart attack, Qamar put the cat on Tinarah's lap.

He hadn't planned on everyone accompanying them to the west wing, but he didn't really have a problem with it. "Once you're all settled in, I'll bring you all something to eat. If there's anything you'd like in particular, please let me know and I'll do what I can to prepare it for you." Adalric said meekly, as he wasn't used to addressing so many people at once. This group of strangers made him nervous, but he was doing his best to be polite. They were guests after all.
