What House are you? Gryffindor values courage, bravery, loyalty, nerve and chivalry. Hufflepuff values hard work, tolerance, loyalty, and fair play. Ravenclaw values intelligence, creativity, learning, and wit. Slytherin house values ambition, cunning, leadership, resourcefulness, and pure wizard blood.
And I need your help deciding what to listen to while slaying things. Looping ftw. After a bit of a hiatus, this is finally back. Be sure to nominate any normal members you'd like, too.
Few questions, and don't turn this thread into a console/best video game ever war. It's not intended to be that. How do you see video games? Do you play simply for entertainment? Do you think video games can be considered art? And I'm not talking just high-def CG. When you pick up a game, how often do you find yourself completely wrapped up in it? Have you ever played a game that has been considered to have terrible graphics (for the time it's from) but wanted to see the story, or vice versa (bad story/gameplay, good graphics)? Why do you think gaming has become such a huge part of our everyday lives? What is your opinion on the "video games make our kids violent" argument? Given that there is somewhat of a recession going on around the world, do you think the gaming industry will suffer from it? Overall, how do you think video games have progressed? Do you think that fewer very good games are being made in order to produce games that barely sell but are from big toy companies? Like Barbie games for example. For you, what makes a video game good? Has there ever been a game you've played that actually changed how you look at life, or at least made you think about things? And for fun, what is the stupidest - yet somehow entertaining - game you've played or watched someone play?
Do you know of any reliable (and preferably free) CD burning programs? Windows Media has proved to be rather ****** in abilty to successfully burn music CDs and it's starting to irritate me. >>
Because I could sure use help right now. D: Spoiler
I don't even know how to react to this.
No site is loading for me. Except KHV. :C
Time is fleeting, madness takes it's toll. But listen closely.
And I've narrowed my costume choices down to those. Both I can complete before Friday, buuut I don't know which to do. Help KHV. :c
It relates to video games so I figured I'd ask you guys. I need a list of the top three games for the following: NES SNES N64 GameCube Wii Gameboy Gameboy Color Gameboy Advance/SP DS Sega Saturn Dreamcast PlayStation PlayStation 2 PlayStation 3 PSP Xbox Xbox 360 As well as any games you're looking forward to for the 3DS. Give good reasons for your choices too, "it's awesome" is not a good reason. Actually explain things please. Many thanks to whomever decides to post. :]
This is what I've accomplished. ...I also first started to learn it last night, hence the few slips. xD Though the only mic I have now is built on to my laptop, which is ****, and I will have to deal with that later on. But yeah as of tonight I can play it smoothly, including the transitions between parts and I'm getting better at the chorus section. 8D /nolife Aaand for those that don't know, the song I'm starting to play is Avenged Sevenfold's Fiction.
...yup. I'm stoked for the game, especially after demoing it at ComicCon. 8D
[ At last, I've converted a tenth person to Okaminism. :'D ]
For the third or fourth time, and I happened to come across this in my pictures folder. Spoiler Color it (at least the panels with Holo)? y/n
And it still kind of does. But some really awesome things have happened in the past few days to make it suck less. I finished writing my college essays, and as soon as I get those reviewed by my college counselor I'm applying early decision to my first choice college (for game design). I think I have a fairly good shot at getting into the major too, so I actually think I can get into college now, as opposed to when I thought I would be living in a box. I'm taking a class called Capstone this year, which is basically a year-long research project on a chosen subject. I'm doing my project on the history of art in video games, starting with the 1980s (though touching on the "first video game" debate slightly from the 50s) and going all the way up to modern era, probably ending with the 3DS. In addition to the 50+ page research paper I'll be writing, I'm also making my own character that will progress through the different graphics eras (8-bit to 3D character model) and possibly an outline for a game if I have time. So not only do I get to play video games and list them as sources, I also get to use what I learned in the game design class I took over the summer, and I've started the art portion this week. And to top it all off, I won the election for my school's division of the National Art Honor Society this morning. Given that it's only Wednesday I'm reaaally hoping nothing happens to **** this week up. >>
Pretty sure I can safely say this is one of the most goddamn awesome weekends of my life. Went to the New York Comic Con/Anime Festival, met up with Advent and Rayku, bought some awesome ****, GOT TO ****ING DEMO PLAY OKAMIDEN, which resulted in me nearly stealing the display case. Oh and sort of demoed Re:Coded too. Which I'd post but someone (Advent) couldn't figure out how to leave the area we were stuck in. >> Okamiden is amazing and I got free Okamiden-related things and it was awesome. And people actually knew who I was cosplaying as. :'D Then today I got to sit backstage on a NY Music Festival show on headphones, which was super exciting. ...How was your weekend KHV? xD
Going to the NYAF/NYCC. :'D With two Pokemon trainers at that. This is unrelated, but it made me laugh.
How've you been these past few days? My life has started to suck bad lately 8D which is why I haven't been on much. Buuut on a good note I'll be at the New York Animal Festival Saturday.
