so i'm pretty particular when it comes to the things i collect. like, very particular. like, so particular it's not healthy. so if you can't relate to that or don't understand or just don't care, none of this will seem important. Also, if you read digitally only this will seem silly, but I don't so for me it's an issue. Okay so I missed the last issue of the Trial of Jean Grey (Guardians #13), which I had been reading before. It came out when I didn't have money and when I went to my shop a couple weeks ago they were sold out, so instead I went ahead and bought All-New X-Men #24, which came out at the same time and I also missed, part 5 of 6 of Trial, and Guardians #14, the start of a new arc. Or something. I haven't read it. I wanted to go ahead and buy it because it's a bigger issue ($4.99) and that was also free comic book day and I got the Guardians handout as well. I was already a little put-off from buying one ahead than what I already had, but I figured I shouldn't be too picky in that instance. I talked to the owner and he said he would keep an eye out for a second printing and hold one for me. I didn't think about the implications of this, I just went along with it. Now, I'm not familiar with how long it takes for additional printings to happen, I figured a couple weeks to a month because when I talked to the owner he said they sold out quickly. I called yesterday to find out when this would be, something I should have done the day I was there (my bad), and he said that there is no scheduled date yet. I was a little down because of this, I wanted to read #14 because it's special and I was waiting to read All New #24 till I got the last part, but I was none too happy with the idea of waiting for an indefinite amount of time. So I thought about downloading #13 (as in not paying for it) and reading it now, something I am entirely opposed to when it comes to what I'm reading that's current, and just buying the second printing later. So I did. And I felt kinda bad. I haven't read it yet. Then it occurred to me that the second printing may have a variant cover, which would not be a problem if all of my other covers were not first printings. So I looked up second printing covers for some of the other issues and they are different. 2nd printing? I don't think so. So here I am. I'm about to buy the first printing online even though I told the owner I would wait for a second printing. And after typing all of this it all makes sense and I don't remember why I needed advice or motivation but I just spent 20 minutes typing this and it's getting posted goddammit.

you know. that one you get when someone you admire who took classes in the same field your considering responds to something you sent to them asking questions and seeking advice responds to your message. and of course you're expecting a lazy answer just to get you off their back. because who has time for that, right? but you open it and see paragraphs and paragraphs written in response to your question and it feels so nice i wasn't expecting much of an answer. and when weeks passed and i still did not get a response, i assumed i wouldn't get one. but i just checked my inbox and there it is. sent april 30th. i just wish i had seen this BEFORE THE SEMESTER ENDED GODDAMMIT. this thread could also be about me gushing over my comments being addressed in multiple videos. though this seemed a little more important.
i played in devpro all day yesterday and here is what i learned i fugkign suck. tag force aint **** compared to real people (though i think im gettin okay if i do say so myself) what i really want to talk about though is Xyz, since this is the first time I've played with and against them. About Xyz Summon, I absolutely love it. I think it's great and much simpler than any of the previous extra deck monsters. It gives me more freedom over what cards I put in my deck. Not having to have a certain card or type of card to use them is great. This is really nice using a spellcaster deck. There is surprisingly little support for spellcaster synchros. However. They are SO OP. Seriously. So many of them have effects that immediately give you the game once you summon them. Even the two I use are ridiculously good and shouldn't be legal (though that may have something to do with being OCG). And ignoring how broken effects are, their ATK is WAY too high for their rank. I'm sorry no you shouldn't be able to have a rank 4 2700 ATK in the same turn you summoned your other lv4. That's crazy. so what im saying is: synchro summon < xyz summon synchro monster > xyz monster
but im reading about pendulum monsters and summons and that's so cool. had the same thing with synchro but i sitll dont know anything about Xyz though i do think the game itself has gotten a bit out of hand with all the new rulings and needs to be cleaned up some.

so its basically a given by now that i make these right? right. as usual im not going to say much and am just giving an initial impression It was a lot better than I was expecting. My main concern going in was that it was trying to do too much, and while I think it did suffer from this some, overall it juggled all of its subplots fairly well. Spoiler My biggest point of contention (and by big i mean huge) is that it's not enough about Harry and Peter and gives far too much attention to Electro. This film is clearly setup (and good setup) for future installments in this franchise, but this is not something I would have truncated, and because of what it is it deserves to be the focus. Obviously they're going to revisit this character, but the establishment was pretty weak considering. They just touched on his relationship with his father and in this continuity his relationship with Peter feels like an afterthought. All-in-all it's not terrible but it feels rushed for an origin. I suppose it could be fleshed out in future films but since the character has reached a status-quo and we saw him get there, there's not much they could retroactively do to make the origin seem less abbreviated. Yeah, they could add backstory for Harry's father relationship and friendship with Peter, but since we've already seen them it wouldn't be that effective. I could say more but I don't feel like it atm. may come back and edit it in or just respond to people as they say stuff i want to address.
Iron Man 3 came out. And today ASM2 comes out. (in the states) gotta say seeing both exactly a year apart on their release dates is p. sweet Time flies. I wonder if a year later many people down on 3 and its twist have come around, or if they're still unhappy. I for one love IM3. It's one of my favorite films. Everything about it, having read a handful of the source material (notably some of Fraction's run on Invincible), is exactly what I want from an Iron Man film, particularly the tone. Easily my favorite MCU movie. well. maybe not easily after Winter Soldier but still my favorite. /endtribute

It takes advantage of the medium in ways rarely seen and is expertly crafted in every facet of comicbook storytelling, most notably the plotting and visual components. Not only is it wonderfully penciled, inked, and colored, but the panel/page layout is something to be appreciated on its own. Of course the narrative is exceptional as well, but when reading I constantly found myself stopping to admire the art. It is a wonderfully cerebral and beautifully visualized series that demands multiple reads. This is a must-read, not just for people interested in comics, but for anyone interested in fiction.
last final this morning. not sick anymore. came home and cleaned and washed stuff and vacuumed and aired out my room and phew its all over this week was ****ing brutal comic sale tomorrow hhhhnnnng and seeing asm2 and fiiiinally back to reading op. had read like two chapters in the past three weeks. wasn't any time. and i started watching spectacular spider man so thats great i feel like the weight of the world is off my shoulders and i can finally be happy again. my heart goes out to those still suffering

does dbgt get all kinds of hate i really like it. it's great. well. as great as db generally is (which is not that great). it's consistent is what i'm saying. not as good as the dragon ball portion of the manga of course. but i would say it's as good as anything z did just don't see what exactly it is that make a lot of fans of everything else db hate it so venomously.

I think the only thing I've seen him in is Saving Private Ryan. But I kinda resist giving Aquaman to him. Idk it just seems like a bad move. I would rather the role be given to someone less known and less known for being in only action movies. someone a little more subtle I guess. Though like I said, I know basically nothing about Damon. New 52 Aquaman is one of my very favorite things and I really don't want to see the general public's perception of the character to be any more damaged than it already is. I also don't want the character to be viewed as this gun-toting badass action hero. I want the conflicted, Shakespearean, unwilling heir to the throne that had previously been claimed by his brother that Geoff Johns graced us with.
