my children of khv, let it be this: be nice.

Do not underestimate the significance of a smile when interacting with someone, be it a relative, a friend, an educator, or a worker. Simply having a good attitude does so much to make you approachable and leave the other person with a positive experience that could elevate their day from mundane to pleasant. It's not hard. It requires so little. You do not need to be suffocatingly friendly to be nice. All it takes is a positive attitude and absence of negativity. If you find this to be too difficult, at least avoid injecting negativity into any situation you find yourself in, or any conversation where you're not aware of the other participants emotional levels. Someone may be having a good day, and you're snide remark could potentially ruin it. Be nice, kids.

and let it all out on the internet.

    by the way

when I saw Guardians, I just ****ing knew that it would take such liberties as to have Groot or some bs like that.

    you didn't earn that, movie,

    you can't just do things.

and I really just don't like Chris Pratt.

and again wtf is with Zoe's Gamora. god i still can't get over how awful the hair looks. and would it have killed the movie to give her the black and white space-suit? come on.

and ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THAT NOVA STUFF

i watched Guardians for a second time earlier

still one of my fav Marvel movies

for those with parental aspirations, how will you raise said offspring or adoptee regarding technology?
I was getting a haircut today and some lady was talking to her kid about using her phone to do something.
I was like what the heck you're talking about her still not being able to sleep in her own bed yet she has a cell phone? why
I know this is like a thing where younger kids are getting more technology now but it's still shocking to me.

if i ever had a kid they would be raised on the same tech i was. none of that fancy **** until they're older.

The year's coming to a close and the semester is ending for many of us, so I thought it would be a good time to look back at 2014. Obviously the year's not over yet so Amaury you can stop typing right now, I am aware. Just write what your year was like or whatever.

2014 was without a doubt the most polarizing year of my life. The first part was one of the best periods in a very long time. It was probably my strongest semester academically in... ever. It was the first time I experienced taking a class that I truly enjoyed, liked doing work for, and consider a rewarding experience. I was in a strong place emotionally and came to multiple realizations that had been great sources of stress before. Things weren't perfect, but they were certainly better than they had been since like the first part of 2009 or something. And then came mid-summer. We spent most of the summer stressing over a sick relative, trying to take care of them and find out what was wrong and all that stuff. I spent the majority of my summer staying with them. And then they died in late August, like the week before school started. It was absolutely devastating for the family. Since it happened so late in the summer it made the start of the semester rather difficult. Not only emotionally, but also because of things that needed to be done and traveling and stuff. Where the spring 2014 was my strongest semester academically, the fall 2014 semester was easily the worst. I hated nearly all of my classes but they were requirements so I had to take them, and I won't go into detail but things got pretty bad. like really bad. I'm so glad that it's over and I eagerly await next semester when I'll be taking more classes that appeal to me. Because of the death this summer (which wasn't the only relative that died, actually), this holiday season will be an odd one. Things are changing and that can be rough, but we'll get through it. I will remember the first 5.5 months of 2014 as the time I read One Piece. Ah, One Piece. Started 1/11 and finished 6/7. It was quite a considerable undertaking and I did burn out once or twice, but man did I feel like a ****ing king when I finished it. So much fun. kinda want to do it again. I read a lot of other stuff this summer as well. Fairy Tail. Sex Criminals. A lot of Batman stuff since it's the 75th anniversary year. A lot of other stuff. Soul Eater in the fall which also became a favorite. I started playing Pokemon again. My comic, Blu-ray, and CD collections grew significantly. Garden of Words became my favorite anime after having a profound emotional experience with that. Watched in on my birthday, actually. One Piece is still my favorite anime/manga property, though. I developed a love for science fiction which is still growing. And other stuff. Overall it wasn't a bad year. If the second half had been like the first, it may have been one of the best. Hopefully 2015 will be better. I'm kinda nervous. Some major changes are coming up soon and I don't know if I'm ready.

no not a sequel to the animated series don't get too excited

unless you think a live-action Teen Titans show with Nightwing would be a good thing, in which case get very excited.

I read a lot of the Wolfman/Perez Titans this summer so this has my interest peaked.

I'll be curious to see if this show survives.

    http://www.comicvine.com/articles/krypton-tv-series-announced-for-syfy/1100-150635/

    New best show ever announced.

If I'm not mistaken, we knew a Krypton show had been in the works but this is the first time hearing anything about it.

A little disappointed that it's not a show about Jor-El, who is an interesting character and one capable of carrying a show on his own, but this is certainly a good thing because if Jor-El was the main character, it could potentially feel like it's only purpose was to set up Superman and show the events leading up to the final days of Krypton. We don't know much at this point but given the little bits of information we do know, this is (thankfully) not the Superman version of Gotham.

For people who may not like Goyer having a hand in this, keep in mind that the Krypton they created for MoS was immensely fascinating and it's an absolute crime that it wasn't explored more. Hopefully this show's Krypton will draw from that.

Personally, I'm extremely excited for this with my growing love for sci-fi and liking Superman and his history as much as I do.

    ugh. this thing.

So I just picked up DDD after having not played it for.. a long time.. to see what I still had left to do in the game. Since I haven't played it in so long I remember very little about how to do anything other than run around and kill things. I don't even really remember what portals are.

I've looked up information for obtaining this trophy, but have yet to get a concrete solution to the issue. I've seen people say that the trophy can be obtained by simply placing portals, and that the game will complete them eventually. I've seen other people say that the trophy can only be obtained by street passing other DDD players. So, which is it? Is there anyone here who has the trophy? What did you do to get it? Did you have to street pass people or did you get it without doing so? How do you place portals, again? help me khv, you're my only hope

    At this point you'll see,
    We are finally satisfactory.
