Flame Burst was watching the two figures that apparently led the villagers. Maybe they would give him a message to transport back to Trenyan? He wasn't sure. But he knew that he had taken too long to come back to Triwn. It didn't help that he had to take a detour. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lythorne waited patiently, his swords raised. He and Trenyan arrived in the forest, but Trenyan left for a few minutes, saying that he needed to check how many Lizards were still hiding in the woods. Lythorne at first thought he wanted to run away, but that would serve him no purpose. Why would the crossbreed pay him and then escape? "Ok", said Trenyan as he came back. "There are Lizards indeed. Many of them. My guess is that they turned the woods into a highway. They keep moving through it. Well, time to put and end to this. Today, many Lizards will die." "I guess this means we're getting the job done now." "Yes. Before I forget, here's the second part of your payment." then, looking towards the east, into the trees, he said : "Damn... sorry, Flame Burst, I found help quicker than I thought, and I can't afford to waste any time. Sorry to put you in danger. Hopefully you can find me when you return." "Huh? What in blazes are you talking about?" Trenyan quickly explained that his wolf hasn't returned yet, and was instructed to return to the forest. But when they're done, there may not be a forest. "He'll be fine. There's nothing my wolf cannot outrun, and not much he cannot tear to shreds. Very well. Time make everything burn." And this was Trenyan's plan. Considreing the countless Lizards moving through the forest, he decided to burn it all down. He hoped to kill many Lizards, but that's not all. It will definitely attract attention, and, with some luck, alert the nearby villages that they are under a great threat. Also, it will disrupt the Lizard's plans. If they do not retreat, be it temporarily, their forces might be discovered, and their real numbers known. Humans will come see the fire, and if they see Lizards, they'll know. Trenyan took the items he stole from the store out of his bag. There were torches, lamp oil, and other flammable items. He also had a roll of string, with which he improvised two shortbows by using tree branches. Finally, he had many cheap arrows that he planned to set ablaze, and shoot in the trees. After sharing the items between him and Lythorne, he said. "If you have any seconds thought, Lythorne, now would be a good time to talk." "I don't. Like you said... we'll be either heroes, either imbeciles. Either way, I don't lose anything." And then, the two warriors started their act. They separated, and moved as quickly as possible. They began setting ablaze trees near the edges of the forest, and tried to cover all the south side of the woods. The movement pattern they planned was in the form of a "S", eventually going deep in the woods, then going back near the edge, to escape, and meet again. They had to act very fast. This is where their preparations came in handy. The flammable items made it easy to start a big fire. The flaming arrows made it easy to incendiate many trees at once. And, of course, Lythorne's magic excelled at forest destruction. It didn't take much magic to set a tree on fire. Soon, the night sky was filled with roaring flames, that continously grew, both by natural fire growth, and by more fires being created.
For Sephiroth : Above all else... be sure to Lock-On to him. Everytime. When he teleports, you lose your Lock-On, but you can actually re-Lock-on before he reappears. Doesn't make sense, but makes the battle a lot easier. Stock up on Elixirs, and equip Sonic Blade and Strike Raid. If you have it, MP Rage makes you extremely powerful. I also recommend a long Keyblade that recovers quickly from impact. Metal Chocobo is the best, I think (unless you've got Ultima). If you use Sonic Blade or Strike Raid, you'll deal tons of damage. Don't worry if his health bar doesn't drop at first ; Sephiroth has about half of an extra life bar. It's hidden, making you think he's invincible, but it's only a trick. Make sure you know how to use Sonic Rave and Strike Raid. After selecting them, you must not press any buttons. The first box in your Menu will show nothing for a second. Then it will show an option, "Rave" for SB, and "Raid" for SR. Press X when that option is there, and Sora will attack again. You can do it 7 times for SB and 5 for SR, if I'm not mistaken. Once gain, make sure you do this right. Pressing X at the wrong moment = Sora stops the attack. Sonic Rave and Strike Raid (I'll call them "Limits", because that's what they are) both take up the 4th Menu option. This means that you always have the best one for the situation. For example, if Sephiroth uses Heartless Angel (the 1 HP left move), Strike Raid will show up in your 4th menu option. It works perfect at interrupting his Heartless Angel. If Sephy goes Fire Pillar-happy, Sonic Blade shows up, and it's fun to run through his fire unharmed. Last but not least, you are invincible during Limits. Other random tips : - After an Omnislash (when he uses a long slash combo), he always attempts to Heartless Angel you. So do not attack him, and instead move towards the closest edge of the terrain. As soon as he teleports, Lock-On to him, and you can see the Lock-On blue circle show where he lands. If you are near the edge of the terrain, he'll go somewhere there, so you can interrupt his attack. - Curaga is your best friend. If you have MP Rage, Curaga, and Second Chance, you are very hard to kill. And for the Hades Cup, you can actually do the same thing as for Sephiroth. Use those 2 Limits when facing a difficult battle, but keep some MP in case of emergency-Curaga. I think you can also Quit the tournament after every 10 rounds, and continue later. Fill your's, Donald's and Goofy's item slots with Ethers (don't bother Elixirs), and set them to use them as rarely as possible (if you don't, they'll use them on themselves within 15 seconds). You'll be able to use Limits a lot, because they'll keep restoring your MP. Finally, do not equip Trinity Limit, Ars Arcanum, and Ragnarok. They're Limits too, but Ars Arcanum and Ragnarok use up 3MP (Sonic blade and Strike Raid use 2MP), and usually aren't as destructive when facing many enemies. As for Trinity Limit... it's awfully useless.
I think you need to have beaten the Hades Cup. If that doesn't work, try to fight the other Optional Bosses.
I think it's the saem as in KH2, meaning : You need : 7 Orichalcum+ (see below) 1 Orichalcum (get from chests) 1 Mythril Crystal (get from chests) 1 Dense Crystal (get from Berserker Nobodies) 1 Dense Crystal (get from Sorceror Nobodies) 4 Serenity Crystals (get from... some enemies) An Energy Crystal is also mandatory, as it will reduce the number of Orichalcum+ needed from 13 to 7. There are only 7 Orichalculm+ in the game, Obtained from : - Completing Atlantica - Completing 100 Acre Wood - In The World That Never Was, in the last room before netering the castle (when you have that big light bridge leading to the castle). It's a bit hidden behind a wall. - Giving a Moogle all other Synthesis items. - In Space Paranoids, in the final room before the MCP battle. - In Twiligth Town, Sunset Terrace. It's on a small building next to that train. - Beating the Goddes of Fate cup in Olympus Coliseum. Note : The main difference between KH2 and KH2FM would be the number of materials. Getting that Orichalcum+ from gettign all synthesis materials is much harder. You need to go in the Cavern of Rememberance to get the Rememberance materials, and do the Mushroom challenges to get the Tranquil materials. Also, you need to find a Lost Illusion and a Found Illusion. There's a Found Illusion in the Cavern of Rememberance, in a chest. As for Lost Illusions, I think you get one after the Absent Silhouette battles, as well as after some Data Battles.
thecoder180 pointed out the Bulky Vendor locations already. For levelling up Final Form though, I suggest going to the Altar of Naught, aka the final room of the game. Enter it while in a Form, and you get full Drives. You can get quite some Exp by killing Nobodies in the previous room (the one with the appearing glass bridges), and going back there.
Hey dude! Our characters finally get to interact! sorta...
The humans, probably scared by the vampire, didn't want to take too long in explaining the reason of their visit. "This wolf came out of nowhere, carrying... some written things. There's a letter and some papers", he said while handing Aidou the few scrolls. OOC : The letter was adressed to Tristan, and I wrote it a few Posts ago. As for the plans, they aren't too detailed, but explain mostly : - That the Lizards are numbered by the thousands, if not more. - That there "a few days" remaining before their main attack. - That the "main attack" probably is Cheslidair. - That they plan to attack their target from all sides. - That they're moving through the forests, trying to remain somewhat hidden. - Also, the copy sent to the King (by giving it to the mayor), also explains what Trenyan plans to do. You'll witness his "hero or imbecile" plan in the next post. The copy Aidou and Aduial get does not feature that part.
Ok, saw your conversation with Garxena. That explains a few things. :)
What's so special with that...? >.<
The three humans approached the vampire and the Cylian, Flame Burst following behind. "Excuse us," , said one of the humans. "But I think we have something for you." -------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, Trenyan and Lythorne continued their way towards the forest, on horseback. Lythorne was wondering what to do after fulfilling Trenyan's plan. The Lizards needed to be fought. The Crossbreed was thinking of his human companion, and of its magical abilities that would go to waste if he did not interfere.
If used properly at least. You know that non-DM move where her and her clones attack you? She's not invincible during that. Reflect hits all her clones, meaning x5 or so damage. Despite her attitude and aggresivity, Larxene still has a weak spot...
And that, my friend, is why Reflect destroys her and sends her shards flying in oblivion.
I actually thought about the Roxas battle yesterday, so I'm full of things to say. That means "long text below". But first, even the dead Organization Members were planned to be in KH2. They were supposed to be at the Coliseum, but, as it was pointed out, Nomura ran out of time. Now, on to the Roxas battle. His normal battle isn't too difficult, but is already comparable to Sephiroth. It makes it challenging, which is suitable for the character. It's sad that they didn't add it, because it would've been one of the last things I would've cut from the game. They must've really had time issues. The battle itself is a bit too annoying. There's randomness in my opinion, because it happens too often that a CounterGuard fails for no reason. His data battle is probably the hardest battle besides Terra, unless you're level 99 or loop him. I would've changed 3 things in his moveset : - Made him do his Desperation Move less often, and slow down the energy balls. In his Data Fight, you're forced to Glide to avoid them, which I find boring. The balls are too fast to dodge effectively with any other method. As much as I hate dodging that attack, it gives you ten seconds for your MP to recharge, and looks pretty awesome. But, it's boring, and destroys the intensity of the battle. - Made him less powerful when you steal his Keyblades. Stealing the Keyblades means that Roxas will spam barely-avoidable Light Pillars, that usually kill you instantly. He's more dangerous than with his Keyblades, which makes no sense. Finally, the Keyblade's bonus attacks look tremendously awesome, but are too weak. - Made his alternate counter move a desperation move instead of a normal attack. For info, my avatar shows Roxas' normal counter move, but he occasionally does another one. He flies next to you, throws his Keyblades, repeats 4-5 times, then goes Keyblade-flying-berserk. In my opinion, it's THE MOST dangerous attack in the entire game. Not even Terra has something to match that attack's deadliness. It often hits you from behind, making Guarding useless, OHKOes you most of the time, comes way too fast and unexpectingly (he can do it even as a normal attack, not a counter), and, worst of all, often negates Once More. Plus, for some reason, when he does it once, he apparently realises it's good, so he does it 80% of the time, when I force him to counter. About that, soes anyone know WHAT does it say when you go fight a Data Battle? All I could notice is that the text differs form a member to another.
I like Larxene. Her moves are pretty awesome, although she has great potention to piss you off. Her hair is cool, too. But almost all the Organization has cool hair. And as for her attitude, she may be too arrogant at times, but what do you expect from someone who only pretends to have a Heart? We need more girls who can cast Endless Thunder/clone themselves to play Sora Tennis.
Trenyan had to go to Ilianam for an entire day (in the story). He can already be late. So I think he'll never make it to Ilianam... but who knows,...
Hey dude! So we can all you "Double Z" now? As for the RP's story, I still had the bad luck of having to change my plans again... I want to make...
The battle had obviously been intense, judging by the many corpses or humans, Lizards, and Leechers. The different smells of different blood kinds, all mixed together, made a terrible stench. Doing his best to ignore the smell, Flame Burst approached the villagers. A human saw him, but was afraid at first. He attracted his companions' attention on the wolf that came. One of them noticed that the animal didn't show any aggressivity, and was carrying something. The humans looked at Trenyan's scrolls, and decided that it was best to give them to "who is in charge". Therefore, a group of three humans lead the wolf to the only leaders they had : the Vampire and the Cylian. OOC : Been away all day today. Have fallen behind a bit. Apparently missed things, too. I miscalculated the timing in my plans, so I needed to make Flame Burst move quite fast. The current situation also makes it difficult for Trenyan to go to Ilianam... *sigh*, more change of plans... Also, do we know who caused the light explosions that decimated the Lizards? Have I missed it?
The robbery went out pretty well. After all, thye didn't have much to take. Lythorne distracted the few shopkeepers while Trenyan snuck behind the counter, and explored restricted rooms. He stood there for abour five minutes, after which Lythorne was planned to once again distract the shopkeepers, covering the Crossbreed's escape. Trenyan was satisfied with the "equipment" he got. He would've wanted more, but he took too long to actually find the items in the stock room. He needed to be ready when Lythorne distracted the clerks again, so he hurried. He made a good teamwork with the human. Perhaps he can be even more useful than he thought. With the stolent items in his bag, Trenyan got out of the stock room. To avoid exiting the store suspiciously, he walked around the large store, and even bought a short knife. He then exited, joinign Lythorne, who was waiting outside. "We've got everything. It should be enough, thanks to your magic. Now time to go to the forest!" The two men joined the horses they borrowed earlier, and set their sights to the north. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flame Burst arrived too late for the battle. But he did not desire to partake in the war, so he was happy to see humans, without any Lizards attacking. The smell of Leechers was also there, but Flame Burst didn't really care who had been part of this battle. He just wanted to join the villagers, and approached them slowly.
Damn! I just posted something different! Well, doesn't matter much.
Flame Burst let go a dissappointed growl. He had missed the Shaper. He crossed the river, in strange fashion, as he was approaching him and his companion. The wolf could, perhaps, try to swim, but he was smart enough not to try. Not only the paper scrolls will get soaked, but also, he will be defenseless against sea creatures. From what Trenyan said, he knew that he needed to find the villagers. The smell of the people as a whole was possible to detect, although difficult. If the wolf moved more towrads the village, he might find it. But soon, another smell hit him. Lizards. And then, humans. And blood. Warm human blood, cold Lizard blood. It didn't take much to figure out that there was a battle. Flame Burst couldn't know if it were the villagers, but it was his best lead, so he ran towards the distant smell. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "So, you aren't an expert in magic, you say. But by the way you used it earlier, I'd say you are much more skilled than you think." Trenyan had been chatting with the human, mostly about their respective powers. The Crossbreed was the one to have brought up the subject, and he eventually revealed the reason : his plan. Lythorne was this human's name, and his magic was sufficiently powerful. Trenyan realised that his moeny was running low. He had to pay extra cash to spend nights at the inns, because so many people were heaeding there, once their homes were destroyed by Lizards. He remembered the incident at the inn in Triwn, when he saw the Shaper, and hoped that Flame Burst was successful in his delivery job. "We'll need to borrow horses. I'll pay for them. As for you, I'm afraid my money's dropping fast. Here's what I have left", said Trenyan while showing a money pouch. It wasn't terribly much, but still a lot for "one little job". "I'll give you half of the pouch just before we start, and the other half after we're done. If you're willing to travel with me, I'll give you the same amount one more time, as I make money." "And what about the equipment you mentionned? Do you think your moeny will suffice?" "Yes, because we will steal the equipment. Don't show me that face, we have no choice. Even if I had enough money, it'll be way too suspicious to buy them in front of everybody. "That makes sense... I dislike stealing, just how I hate begging. But yeah, we need to now. So let's go borrow two horses, then I'll lead you to the nearest conveniece store. And hope that your plan works."
