Lyra shall have "Searing Strike" and "Scorched Earth" please. Also I wish to head south, there's no way in hell I would go west and east sounds equally as inhospitable, might as well go for the wildcard

Once inside Badun spied a small line of people standing before a finely dressed young woman who appeared to be taking down their names. Down the corridor he could see to girls who were being addressed somewhat sternly, by who he could only assume were the runners of this society. They must have attempted to sneak in, thinking that their motive required such an act. Badun was never so overt, if he wanted to get in somewhere he shouldn't he'd insure everyone believed he should be there. Ensuring not to draw attention to himself, he approached the lady and merely stated "The name is Badun Povey, I assume the society meeting's through this way?"
"Indeed it is sir" Lyra responded, the man before her seemed unsavory. From his demeanor, Lyra gleamed he was a serpent of a man who surely had many less observant individuals fooled. She assured herself she'd keep an eye on him.
Badun walked down the corridor and entered the hall where a small group appeared to be gathering. Badun placed his pack down and took a seat awaiting the main event.

"Greetings Mr Hogalt, it is a pleasure to meet you too" Lyra replied to the armored man before her as she jotted down the name "I'm sure the society shall benefit from your membership, if you'd please now take a seat" She gestured towards the collection of chairs gathered around the hall. "Who is next?" She called to the collected ensemble in front of her.

"Welcome everyone. Now may I please just take your names" Lyra said as she drew a small leather journal from within her blazer, she used it to take down notes when she was out and about. It was extremely helpful to have something that she could jot in as she was prone to random sparks of inspiration. The group that were meeting here seemed rather ragtag, but their was potential here, even if she seemed to be the only one who dressed for the occasion apart from a bloke over at the back that appeared to have an umbrella, of all things, sheathed to his back. Regardless of the groups appearance Lyra had been taught to not judge one by their appearance and so she addressed them with the same politeness she would any other.

Badun arrived in Varewyn just after sunrise and as he often did headed for the market to examine his competition in the city. Badun knew of Varewyn's penchant for tinkering and creating new technologies and as expected, there were several stall owners laying out intricate devices upon their stalls as they set up. Badun approached one such woman who appeared to be in a disheartened mood this morning and asked "Bad week for business, eh?"
"How did you guess?" she chided "it's what I get for relying on these useless inventions for coin, every bodies trying to solve problems that don't exist these days. I mean look at these, they're telescopes for looking at small things, what's the point of that? we can see small things"
"I could take them off your hands..." Badun responded, this woman didn't know the first thing about her product, she wasn't going to get it sold any other way. The world was full of idiots and Badun knew he could profit from them, it worked every time "...I'll pay you of course" He added, to drive the deal home.
"Well I'd give you all 5 for 75 coin, I can't see myself selling all of them anyway"
"Well, I can't see these selling for anymore than 5 gold each, I mean you said it yourself, they're useless. I feel 25 is a much fairer deal for the lot, hell I'll throw in 5 coin make it 30." Badun could see the disappointment on the woman's face at the low price, but it disappeared as she considered his reasoning.
" I suppose you are correct and if that's so 30 coin's the best I'll get for them, you've got yourself a deal"
Badun made of with the contraptions, he had seen them before, microscopes apparently and he knew that in the right circles he could sell them for 20 coin each. He suddenly noticed he'd got carried away and forgotten the time. The adventurer's society meeting had just started. He hurried along the cobbled streets as fast as his legs could carry him and his massive pack. On arrival at the Bracklewood's manor he couldn't see anyone from the outside and assumed they must have gone inside. He tried to quietly slip in through the door, but he stumbled and made a large crash as the door slammed shut behind him. This wasn't the quiet entrance he'd hoped for as he looked up at the crowd gathered inside, but at least he was here and hopefully this endeavor would pay off.

Decided to have a secondary character. This one's a bit of an experiment.

    Name: Badun Povey

    Gender: Male

    Age: 45

    Class: Artisan

    Weapon(s): Three Pistols

    Armour: Leather armour

    Magic/incantations: None

    Crafting: Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting

    Specialism: AP

Appearance: Badun is an unkempt scrawny fellow with a slight arch to his back, due to many years carrying around his large pack. He has a messy stubble and dirty blonde hair. His eyes are hazel in colour and a scar runs along his left cheek. He wears simple peasant clothes with a tattered green travelling cloak which he always wears.

Personality: Badun possesses a silver tongue developed from many years of selling people stuff they don’t need. He’s extremely optimistic, at least when a profit is concerned and is often in high spirits. He has illusions of grandeur considering himself an entrepreneur, more than just a simple trader. He sees the adventurer’s society as a business investment, a way of expanding his market and maybe getting his foot in a niche. He sees others as merely the people who buy stuff.

    Origination: Eredan

Backstory: Born in Eredan, the son of a farmer, from a young age he got himself involved in one of the large trade companies. Moving his way up the promotion ladder he eventually fell into a disagreement with his boss about the company's direction and was fired. He used this an opportunity to build his own business empire, a goal he is still far from achieving. He constantly would scan the market looking for up and coming industries to make his stake in. Badun branched out and now has several outlets that produce the wares that he sells. When a friend showed him a letter they had received about an adventurer’s society, Badun convinced them to let him go in their place, seeing this society as a way of getting his name known across Tyrrus and also to become their official supplier, a business deal he was sure would bring him much coin. He now treks towards the city of Varewyn to begin his new endeavor.[DOUBLEPOST=1451826569][/DOUBLEPOST]And Badun shall explore the dark light caverns in search of valuable treasures

Lyra took a brief look over the accounts before rising from her desk. Sanderson Bracklewood, although spending most of his life bankrupt, was very good at spending obscenely large amounts of money and if it wasn't for Lyra's suggestions, it would have been unlikely the Bracklewood fortune would have made it past the appetizers at this recruitment drive that the society was holding. Through the window she could hear Sanderson and Aston making idol chatter in the cold as they welcomed in the new recruits. Closing the account booklet, Lyra stored it in the desk before grabbing her suit jacket from it's stand, adorning it and then proceeding to straighten the collar. Lyra was a practical woman, but she understood the importance of looking her best. She had awaited this day for some time now, a chance to finally get out of the study and begin her true job at the adventurer's society, to explore the world and expand her experience. Her Archamere blood brought her solace in numbers and planning, but another unknown part of her had a thirst for something more, something she had yet to find.

Lyra heard the shuffling of chairs in the hall and decided it was time to join the proceedings. She was eager to meet the new blood and staring at one more figure was going to send her stir crazy. Once more straightening her jacket, taking a deep breath and gathering her composure, Lyra stepped out into the hall to greet everyone.

    Character Application

    Name: Lyra Arcamere

    Gender: Female

    Age: 29

    Class: SpellSword

Weapon(s): A Longsword which appears purely decorative when sheathed, but is as good a blade as any

    Armour: Leather

    Magic/incantations: Fire Magic, Magma Specification

    Crafting: None

    Specialism: Mana

Appearance: Lyra has dark red, medium-length, voluminous hair coupled with heterochromic eyes (One blue, one green). She wears a variety of stately, modest clothes ranging from ball gowns to suit jackets, but she mostly wears a three piece suit consisting of a black suit jacket, dark red waistcoat, white shirt and dark red bowtie.

Personality: Lyra is a level-headed, down to earth individual who is comfortable speaking her mind, besides this she is always polite and respectful. However her controlled demeanor is due to her upbringing in a noble household and although not many are aware she carries with her a lot of pent up anger. When enraged she is prone to rash decisions and violence, however these explosive outbursts are far between and never long. Lyra possesses a natural born curiosity and a willingness to learn which isn’t always evident upon first inspection. Safe to say the control with which she holds her emotions secludes a lot of her passions and traits, but once you can pierce that outer shell of integrity Lyra possesses a vivid and complex personality.

    Origination: Haven Noble

Backstory: Lyra was born in 1986, the illegitimate daughter of Lord Blackflame and Lady Arcamere. The two kept the affair secret and Lady Arcamere passed Lyra off as Lord Arcamere’s daughter. Lord and Lady Alcamere brought Lyra up to be a noblewoman teaching her proper etiquette and how to handle one's emotions, although Lady Arcamere also considered the way of the sword a useful part of her education; much to her husband's disapproval. At the age of 17 Lyra was offered a place at Chancellor Alaric Blackflame’s academy for mages. Alaric was feeling guilty after Lyra’s half sister, Raven Blackflame, had turned dark and saw Lyra as a second chance, knowing his true relation to her. Lyra discovered she had an aptitude for fire magic, but shied away from using it, as it often brought her emotions out of her. After four years at the academy Lyra decided to move on, feeling magic was not what she wanted to do with her life. She began getting involved with the senate as the Arcamere family had strong ties with it and politics, especially economics was a healthy distraction, she found it rather soothing, but she still longed for adventure. After hearing Sanderson Bracklewood was forming an adventurer’s society, Lyra wished to join, even if only in an administrative role. The chance to see and hear about the world was too alluring. After approaching Bracklewood about the matter, he decided to appoint her the societies treasurer, responsible for handling the society's accounts. Also with the society's first expeditions imminent, Lyra wishes to sign herself up in hope of fulfilling her desire for exploration.
