Okay. Apparently there's been a lot of flaming, arguing, and pointless ranting about a few very unconventional pairings in Kingdom Hearts. So here's what I think. We all know that SoraxKairi is hinted at, as well as NaminexRoxas in turn. But neither are ever explicitly made a plot point. Some fans could think of it as merely a very deep friendship, if they wanted to. And a lot of fangurls/fanbois, when it comes to yaoi or yuri, will argue that their particular choice of pairings are actually more romantic than an innocent friendliness, the very opposite. All could be thought of differently...and according to actually occurrences in the game, could be interpreted as being very real. And then it occurred to me that maybe they're ALL right. Maybe the game designers made every 'pairing' as broad and non-canon as possible so that fans could interpret it however they wanted. It'd make the game more marketable to teenagers or pre-teens, who are usually the main body of the yaoi/yuri fandom, and still okay for Disney. (No, I'm not saying all people in that age group are yaoi fans) I don't think they ever *intended* for yaoi to be part of that interpreting, but based on what seems to me to be serious fan-catering for KH2 (a whole Organization of pretty-boys, for instance, and that so-called 'Riku/Sora' scene near the end :P), they're ever so slightly moving toward what a lot of KH fans call improbable and impossible. I think it's genius, actually. And in case you were wondering, I'm indifferent to yaoi. I neither hate it nor love it.
Destiny's Force, your main arguments are on the technical side. Just because you weren't able to equip a certain ability to Roxas doesn't mean he wasn't able to do it. :P When he finally remembered what he could do on the Sixth Day, he kicked *** in that battle against Axel. Then again, maybe I'm just being too much of a fangirl. I've personally never liked Sora after they dumbed him down in KH2. I loved him in the original game, but he just... I don't know.
No, it is a lot, thanks very much. I'm just glad to know somebody's willing to give me good advice without telling me to grow up or think about other people with real problems instead. I just sometimes feel like I can't take it anymore. I don't know what keeps me sane, lol... EDIT: But still, thank you soo much. :D
Exactly! And that's sort of cool, in a way. ^^ I was just thinking... It's probably the result of me being tired and in the slumps of a sugar-high, but it'd be awesome if (theoretically) people from other, more intellectually developed worlds made it Earth somehow. XDD I don't know, and ended up fixing every problem known to man? lol...
My problems are many. :P But mainly, it's the fact that when I was younger, I used to say really stupid things, mostly because of this anti depressant I was taking that made me suicidal. I never had any friends through all of elementary school, and I know it was all my fault. Eventually I switched schools, after being suspended far too many times for 'behavioral issues' that *I* thought were just misunderstandings. We moved to this more suburban school district. I made a really good friend there, but I always feel so weird at school. I'm always comparing myself to others and am really paranoid about what they think of me. I'm a lot more mentally stable than I was three years ago (a LOT better - there's even this gap in my memory of those times) but this anxiety and paranoia thing still gets to me. Half the time I'm happy and really confident and then all of a sudden I'm plunged into this really bad depression. Recently it got so bad I almost took all of my ADD pills but my sister took them away from me, and after that I cried for two hours. Then there's my mom, who had me when she was really young and who I suspect has a problem with commitment to relationships. :P Which makes me sound really judgmental. Which also makes me sound like a *****. When me and my sister were younger she'd beat us sometimes and then get the church minister to come over and tell us we deserved it. Then she got this really awful boyfriend who could yell at us and come home reeking of pot and hitting my brothers and she'd pass him off as wonderful. Late last school year we packed and left and stayed at a hotel for two weeks. Damn...you know what, I really don't know what I want, I just want the loneliness to stop. I want to stop feeling selfish, too. I think I mostly just wanted to write this down at last, I don't know how anyone could help me with what's my LIFE, in all honesty. :P Hell people have worse problems, I understand that.
LOL, well, I know it's not THAT complicated. Mostly it was because I haven't played CoM. I started but got bored because the system bored me to tears, so I read the second volume of the CoM manga instead.
Roxas. I love Sora, but he was annoying. Roxas was more bad ass and acted his age. Even if he was a little emo and selfish at times. But hey, can you blame him? :P I truly believe that if Sora hadn't woken up, Yen Sid and the rest of them would have had Roxas wipe out the Organization anyway. After all, Roxas had betrayed them, so it would fit his own agenda at the same time.
Personally, I agree with what most of you have said. I don't want to remove Disney entirely. But replay the game some time and tell me the cuteness doesn't begin stifle you. I'd like to tone down the Disney just a bit. Get rid of RLM's (Random Laughing Moments) and some of that cheesy dialogue. Then add a bit more violence and dark overtones. Just enough to satisfy the older audiences but not enough to make parents uneasy. ...Oh, and some of that 'implied yaoi' for the fangirls. XD
Okay. I think there's already a theory like this somewhere, but bear with me. What if there are billions and billions of universes in the Everything, each with something very slightly different. Over time, entirely unique worlds could come up. And the possibilities for worlds would be infinite, so to speak. Eventually there could be a world where the very laws of science that control our own are bended. It could very well mean that all fictional stories and people are in existence, somewhere. Just because there's no limits on reality. ...I'm sorry, I hoped I could give a longer explanation than this. But my thoughts are going too fast, I can't remember them all. :P If you want me to explain something a little better, please just ask me.
Not really. As far as I can see, there's been conflict in the middle east for a while now. The US only got involved after 9/11, sort of like with Pearl Harbor.
Does anyone else think the Kingdom Hearts storyline is extremely confusing? I STILL don't know exactly what happened after the first game. I suppose it's because nothing in the story is explicitly said...ever. PS...could someone PM me and try explaining Roxas' ENTIRE background to me? It's too convulted for me to comprehend.

I don't mean Sora himself, because I do like him. This isn't a hate thread. It's a thread where we talk about how dumb he acted in KH-2, how Haley Joel Osment needs to get shot (at least, not be in the third installment), and how he was completely racist to the Nobodies. Any thought on this? :)

Have you ever doubled the speed? Some songs sound really cool if you do that. I used it on Evanescence's album, it sounded awesome.
