Tumblr is a website that combines blogging with social networking in a whole new world of creativity and expression. We tumblr bloggers know all the blog "types": the grunge blogs, the humour blogs, those silly teenagerpost-type blogs, et cetera. Most of the time, these blogs are seemingly harmless. However, we often come across the not-so-harmless blogs. The pro-ana/mia blogs, the blogs that glorify mental disorders and self-harm, the blogs that naive teenagers will look at and fall victim to. I love tumblr for its hilarious and relatable content and also for allowing me to make great friendships. However, because of all the glory these disorders are given, I find myself being driven away from the website as a whole, despite my blog falling under the "humor" category. Personally, I've dealt with self-harm, depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts, and I never thought it was something beautiful or deep, never. It's not poetic and it doesn't define you. It's something you have to be strong for, and yet all these bloggers post photos of girls with scars all over their arms and their bodies, stick-thin girls with thinning hair, and text posts encouraging girls to stop eating and live the pro-ana lifestyle. It's sickening to see such horrible disorders being encouraged. Other disorders such as social anxiety and also things like staying inside on the internet all day, having no social life, disliking people, and never doing anything productive are all glorified on this website too. What do you guys think? Does it bother you that a good portion of tumblr bloggers promote the wrong things instead of promoting recovery and getting help? Has it ever driven you away from the website? Discuss.
I'm a big fan of Circa, and it's pretty safe to say that Blue Sky Noise was their best and most successful album. I loved Juturna also, but On Letting Go was sort of a carbon copy of Juturna in a lot of ways. Spirit of the Stairwell and Dyed in the Wool are among my favorite songs, and they're both from Blue Sky Noise. .When I first heard Violent Waves, it honestly bored me to death. It sounded so monotonous, like a constant droning or something dying. I was disappointed to say in the least. However, after listening to it again, it grew on me. It was an acquired taste for me, but a good one. I am still warming up to it, but I think I enjoy it more with every listen.
My English teacher showed us this guy. I think it's super rad. He's really talented, one of my favorite music-based YouTubers.

I was always indifferent about Bieber. I didn't care for him, but I didn't hate him like a lot of kids. People hated him because it was the trendy thing to do. Make fun all you want. The kid's got talent. I grew to love Justin for a while. I thought he seemed like a nice guy who made good music. Not very original music, but good music. I still love the song Boyfriend. However, I've realized that as talented as he is, he is a self-absorbed, cocky jerk. When asked to go vegan, he gagged and spit and made a scene at a restaurant because the specially made vegan steak he ordered "grossed him out." He could have just politely swallowed or at least not make a big scene about it like the world has to stop spinning just because he is being a baby about something he chose to eat. He was two hours late for a show I believe, and didn't even give his fans a sincere apology. He didn't get to give them a full set due to time constraints, but he could've at least apologized properly. And let's not forget when he went to the Anne Frank House and wrote inside the guestbook something like "She would have been a belieber" or "I hope she would have been a belieber." That's a pretty self-absorbed and disrespectful thing to put there. And these are only some of the things he's done to show how bad his attitude is. Are all these things federal crimes that will get you thrown in prison? No. But you don't need to break the law to prove you're kind of an ass. He has a bad attitude and acts like he's king of the world. He's a punk, a brat. But he's a talented brat.
