alright.. ill have to try a dump during the roxas data battle tommorrow.. i tried.. and never got the "rush" reaction.. nearly beat the ******* at 3 fps.. (my comp doesnt suck that much.. but some program was interfering)

    anyway. upping a zip w/ 3 dumps.. 1st is w/o a reaction

    2nd is w/ a reaction on screen
    and
3rd is the moment the reaction is pressed.

and when you look thru the dumps.. and there's a part you need missing tell me.. bc i just had the dump start from the base address - 0200000

    Here it is : http://rapidshare.com/files/70723203/fm_reaction_v1.zip.html

I never said to take the top line out. but really it has to be at least somewhat useless.. Why would it change if you hit convert over and over

yeah.. but put what you put back into maxconvert.. does it convert BACK to RAW like mine did :D

EDIT: not to mention.. your's has the region as 0000 - USA
EDIT2: yeah. yours converts back.. but like i said its the wrong gameid / region
EDIT3: hrm.. im beginning to think the top line doesnt matter at all. if you keep hitting convert it changes over and over

    Well 2 things..

    1) was it decompressed before he looked at it?

    2) HOW ON EARTH do you do a live dump in PCSX2?! The main menu goes away when you start a game, so the debug drop down is not available.. The only other choice is Enter Debugger, which auto starts the game.. but the game never starts (not-responding of death on the game screen)

EDIT: alas tho, i think you're right.. looking at it in a hex editor, even tho the game data is in it somewhere.. its at least gotta be offset, bc alot of it is-as expected-instructions for pcsx2

hmm.. i've got an idea.. would a save state count as a live dump? (it sounds simple i know) but i saw this video today where this guy changed a save state to give himself 999999999(etc) gil in FFX.

So if i were to upload an uncompressed savestate later.. would that be usable in ps2dis? and if not, would a hex editor suffice to find codes?

okay now im really troubled =/

I found out to do a live dump you have to go to Debug -> Enter Debugger..

And then its supposed to auto-launch the game, which it does
The only unfortunate thing is the game window immedately stops responding, goes black etc.

How do any of you ever get a live dump?

P.S. and adam- Those are for the UCM digits, so you can have a certain person equip the weapon

Omg.. Any1 else have trouble getting uLaunchElf to read input?

AHA!! YAY. i didnt need ulaunch

i found a MUCH easier way. google mymc - it DIRECTLY imports .max saves into the memorycard file :D

EDIT: okay.. im all set and ready to live dump and such.. but how do you actually live dump? i know how to dump the memory.. but how do you do it while the game is running? the option is only accessible from the main menu (which goes away when you start the game)

i came across a ps2 controller that has a ps2 AND usb plug on it (at gamestop, while reserving assassin's creed) so i dont need the memcard anymore

and really evil? after using cb for this.. i HATE armax. so long to load codes.. annoying music.. etc. etc.
