Namine is a Nobody, she's just very different than the rest of Organization XIII.
The Organization members have a variety of powers related to their attributes, natural Nobody abilities, and their weapons, so they potentially could do a lot more. Sliding Shroud: When he encases himself in a ball of darkness and moves around real fast, right? Possibly this is just a fast evasive move that Xemnas likes to use. Data/Replication: Vexen is a brilliant scientist and like Ansem's other apprentices, is probably very familiar with the creation of artificial Heartless. He's also obviously a very skilled cloner. It makes sense that he might have a mobile device for the conversion of an opponent's physical data into a Heartless clone. Aura: Lexaeus is an Earth element, so the aura is probably a manifestation of him utilizing his Earth element to increase his body density and make himself stronger. Book attacks: While trapped inside Zexion's book, Zexion can manifest more books to smack the opponent. Book Powers: Zexion's book abilities can probably be explained as being similar in nature to Luxord's card abilities. Such as his ability to manifest multiple books to attack, energy waves from his book, and the command list alteration (which in storyline could probably be explained as Sora being forced to read a book until he gets to the end and is able to actually get rid of the book, or something like that). Even his ability to trap people inside books is simply a manifestion of his abilities through the book. Inside Book Attacks: I assume you're referring to the Spotlights Game? Zexion has full control over his book and its abilities, and can manifest himself inside the 'book world' in various ways. Soul Eater: It's been said officially that Zexion can use his illlusion powers to copy the weapons of others. Duplication: Zexion is an illusionist. He can make hard light copys of himself, and can use his illusion powers to shapeshift as well. Explosion: Axel's a fire elemental. The explosion was probably just Axel manifesting his powers directly INSIDE Vexen to kill him in a very painful manner, and not an actual special attack. #: I'm assuming this is the attack where Marluxia manifests some thorny vines around Sora? This is a crushing attack Marluxia uses, I'm assuming. Black/Red Holes in Floor: This is probably a manifestion of Marluxia's floral abilities (note the vines surrounding the holes) in addition to some natural darkness-related abilities that all Nobodies have. Duplication: Larxene's duplication powers are more along the anime ninja style of duplication. Think Naruto's clone jutsu, only ten times cooler because Naruto sucks (at least compared to most of the other characters in the show) and Larxene is awesome. :P (I am so a fanboy.)
*shrugs* It'd just be confusing, especially for Sora. I mean, Leon and Cloud are natives of Radiant Garden. But what would happen if he meets FF8's Squall or FF7's Cloud? ...Y'know, on second thought, that might be hilarious to see.
Oh for... She didn't scream in terror in every scene she was in. She stood up to Saix, one of the Organization's more powerful members, dove right into a crowd of Heartless to try and help Sora, and actually started kicking their butts once Riku gave her a Keyblade (thus giving her the ability to, y'know, actually hurt the things, since they tend to ignore getting punched in the face). She can fight. You just seem to not want to see it. And there are different kinds of strength than physical.
*eyetwitch* If she hadn't hid her heart in Sora, Maleficent and Xehanort's Heartless would have WON. 7 Princesses = Gate completed before Sora gets there = Mally-chan, Xehanort's Heartless or BOTH getting access to Kingdom Hearts = Organization needed to expand their castle to hold the sheer influx of Nobodies they would recieve. Riku would also probably be dead, as Mally-chan would have no more use for him, and once Kingdom Hearts was opened, everybody was screwed. In otherwords, I have yet to see a good reason WHY Kairi should be hated, as she's probably one of the three most important characters in the series.
I'm not against the Roxas/Namine pairing, I just think it's more of a crack pairing. From what I've seen, she's more likely to be interested in, well, either no one outside of a friendship relationship or Marluxia for a romantic one...
Kairi, Namine, and Larxene
... Okay. As stated in the other topic, here are my top five, in order. Saix Luxord Demyx Zexion Lexaeus/Larxene
*shrugs* I don't hate him, I just don't think he's that interesting...
I like Kairi. She's cute, she's funny, she's not afraid to stand up for herself (note her confronting Saix with a couple of Berserkers with nothing to back her up save Namine, as well as her going out to layeth the smacketh down on some Heartless after Riku gave her the OMGiss0PRETTY! Keyblade [apologies, I couldn't resist and thought it was funny]), she's the right kind of brave... Honestly, if she was real and I was dating her, she'd be the kind of girl I'd be more than happy to take home to meet my parents. One thing I've never gotten, not just in the KH fandom but in ANY fandom, is the hatred for the lead female, by writing her nasty, dying, or any combination of the above. Not to mention character replacement. (Poor Larxene. People keep replacing her in their fics... I luvs ya, Larxene... Even if you would probably skin me alive and laugh the whole time...) Why do people do that? Is it because they'd rather see Sora with one of the guys in some pairing that doesn't make any sense? Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing yaoi pairings. I fully support Axel/Roxas, as well as Lexaeus/Marluxia, my new favorite crack pairing. But none of it just makes any sense to me. If you'd rather have Sora with someone else, why not just right Kairi in-character, and have her be just-friends supportive of Sora? Or maybe there's just some other reasons I'm missing.... *shrugs* I don't know. That's just my take on the matter.
I never use Reflect that much. Of course, that's because I don't know how to use the dern thing correctly and usually get my soft end handed to me by the bosses, lol...
Please note that the bios for my boss ideas also come from my KH3 ideas... Please tell me what you think of my boss ideas. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Namine Bio: Namine was content to be a part of Kairi. But it started to become maddening, to have given up her existance and still being aware. When Maleficent revived the Organization, Roxas and Namine included, and promised them Hearts of their own, she accepted, wondering if she had lost her mind. When Riku came, she tried to convince him that she and Kairi could be allowed to exist at the same time. Riku, desperate and half-mad, tore her down with his words, demanding that she give up her life again. Namine, the last bits of her ability to feel destroyed by Riku's anger, refused, renouncing her name and proclaiming herself to be number 14 of the Organization... HP: 12 health bars Exp: 4000 Reward: Fallen Into Darkness keychain Storyline/Optional?: Storyline (Fought with Riku rather than Sora, who has been turned into Anti-Form along with Kairi...) Difficulty: Around Roxas Storyline fight level in KH2 Arena: Train Station, Twilight Town world Fight Intro: Namine scowls at the player and glows, her clothes transforming into a white Organization cloak with the hood up. Pages swirl around her, forming into her sketchbook as a multi-colored crayon appears in a swirl of color. Namine grabs the crayon and gestures, chains surrounding the field. ======== Attacks ======== Leaping Kick: Namine does a leaping spin kick. Not very powerful. Basic Strike: Namine runs forward and punches the opponent. Not very powerful. Only used after Sketch Scatter reaction command. Sketching: Namine walks around the battlefield, drawing on her sketchbook. She glows while drawing, and cannot be hurt. Sketch Monster: Namine quickly draws a sketch and rips the page out, the page turning into a dog-like monster, looking exactly like a sketch. The monster has two lifebars and attacks with claw swipes and lunges. Sketch Flare: Namine draws a sketch of a fireball and then points the drawing at Sora, a massive stream of flame shooting out which she then sweeps across the field. Sketch Freeze: Namine draws a sketch of a snowflake and then points it at the floor, freezing the ground and making it slippery. She can move on the ground normally, however. Sketch Chains: Namine draws a sketch of a chain and points the drawing at the player, a trio of thick chains shooting out to strike. Sketch Wind: Namine draws a sketch of a tornado and points the drawing into the sky, a whirlwind coming out and homing in on the player, spinning the player rapidly and briefly stunning him/her. Sketch Ultima: Namine teleports to the center of the field and draws a picture of a star, holding her sketchbook into the air and starting to charge up. If she finishes charging, Ultima is cast, killing the player instantly. ----Reaction Command: Sketch Scatter [Must be done before Namine finishes charging. Namine's sketchbook is shattered, the pages scattering across the battlefield. The sketchbook reassembles itself after a while, but Namine is essentially helpless now except for her Nobodies and the Chains of Memories attack.] Chains of Memories: Namine teleports over to the side of the field where the chains are. She then grabs a chain and starts tugging on it, snapping it after a few tries. She can snap up to six chains during the course of the fight, each one making the player 'forget' an ability. Chain 1: Drives Chain 2: Summons Chain 3: Magic Chain 4: Items Chain 5: Abilities Chain 6: Keyblade Summon Nobodies: Namine calls two of her White Mage minion-class Nobodies, the Nobodies bearing the appearance of cloaked, feminine figures wielding staves. They can cast Cure on Namine and attack with their staves. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Cutscene after boss battle: Namine falls to the ground, as Riku demands she re-merge with Kairi. Namine glares at him and tells him her name is now Kixira. Riku screams in rage and gets ready to strike her down with a powerful Dark Aura blast, when he is knocked down by Roxas. Xemnas comes up to the two young Nobodies and congratulates them on their work. He also offers the suggestion that they take on a fifteenth member. Both Roxas and Namine approve of the idea, and Anti-Sora and Anti-Kairi both attack Riku... Later on, King Mickey, Donald, and Goofy show up, finding Anti-Sora, Anti-Kairi, and Anti-Riku playing around. Anti-Riku is the first to notice King Mickey, and all three attack. King Mickey blocks them with a Reflect spell, and uses his magic to restore their human forms...
Roxas. He just wasn't that interesting to me.
I haven't played either version of Chain of Memories yet. Could someone explain to me, in simple terms, how the card system works? I see in videos Sora performing attacks, a card disappearing each time, and sometimes he uses three cards to do something... I just don't get it.
...No. I don't think so. It wouldn't feel right to have actual Square worlds in Kingdom Hearts, and it would mess with continuity.
Characters I haven't seen yet? On Destiny Islands: Jecht (as a teacher at Sora's school), Dr. Cid (FFXII, as a teacher at Sora's school), Lulu (as a kid Sora's age), Rydia (as a kid Sora's age), Balthier & Fran (as kids Sora's age) In Twilight Town: Vayne Solidor (as the mayor), Celes Chere (as a cop), Biggs & Wedge (as her bumbling partners) In Radiant Garden: Braska (as a pixie, like the rest of the Gullwings), Kefka Palazzo, Ultros, Typhon, Jenova (fully humanoid), Reno, Rude, Elena, Tseng, Rufus Summons: Terra Branford Optional Superbosses: Sin (Heartless version), Gilgamesh, Bahamut, Seymour & Anima
The ability to replay or have new versions of boss fights in the Coliseum. (The Garden of Assemblage in Final Mix+ was a definate step in the right direction.) More epic endgame baddies... I remember at the end of Kingdom Hearts 1... When I first started walking into the castle area of Hollow Basion, and things like Defenders, Wyverns, Wizards and Darkballs started appearing started appearing... And then later on, with the appearance of Angel Stars and Invisibles... *shiver* Seeing that level of baddy, you really knew then that you were approaching the end, that something major was coming. Maleficent, the Riku battles, the Behemoths, Chernabog, Xehanort's Heartless itself... The Heartless, the epic, endgame Heartless were the harbingers. The closest we got in Kingdom Hearts II was the Sorcerer Nobodies and they were more annoying than intimidating... I miss the epic endgame baddies. The really vicious-looking monsters that let you know that you were heading into something major...
Well, I did have a couple ideas... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Mirage Bio: The sexy catgirl goddess of evil from the Aladdin TV series, Mirage has thrown in her lot with Maleficent to end Sora's life! But she's gonna do it on her terms, oh yes... HP: 28 health bars Exp: 24000 Reward: Ultima Weapon (1st fight), AP Up (any fights afterwards) Storyline/Optional?: Optional Difficulty: Enigmatic Knight level Arena: Temple of Mirage, Morbia world Fight Intro: Mirage laughs, energy swirling around her as she hovers into the air slightly. ======== Attacks ======== Feral Blaze: Mirage slashes her hands, throwing out blades of energy at Sora from her claws. Curse of the Goddess: Mirage opens the match with this, kissing Sora and doing several things - Eliminating Sora's ability to use Reflect and summons, and replacing all his Drive forms with Anti-Form. Cat's Eye Devil: Mirage floats up and summons a massive, fiery wildcat that attacks one of Sora's partners and removes them from the match permanently. She does this twice. Scratching Post: Mirage teleports towards Sora, slashing him over and over with her claws in a savage manner. Warp: Mirage vanishes in a burst of dark energy that can damage Sora if he is too close to him. Mirage can teleport out of combos. Evil's Inferno: Mirage floats to the center of the battlefield, becoming temporarily invincible. She raises her arms and forms a massive orb of black fire in her hands. Beams of shoot out from the orb, homing in on Sora's location. The last ten beams come at Sora from seemingly unavoidable directions. --------REACTION COMMAND: Desperation [Sora swings his Keyblade wildly, smacking the beams back, four of them flying back in Mirage's face and briefly sttunning her.] Refusal of Fair Play: Used when she's down to 1/3 of her life. Mirage floats to the center of the battlefield, becoming temporarily invincible. She roars, shooting several beams of energy out, tearing holes in the floor of the battlefield which last for the rest of the battle. If Sora falls into one of these pits, it's an automatic loss, a short cutscene occuring of Sora falling into a mass of Heartless and being drawn underneath, Mirage's laughter echoing around him. Twisted Shadow: Used when she's at her last lifebar. She casts a spell and Sora is cursed. Every hit she does now turns partially turns Sora dark. If she connects enough times (half Sora's max EXP level, example: Sora is lvl50, Mirage needs to hit him 25 times), Sora will be permanently turned into Anti-Sora. If this occurs, a brief cutscene occurs with Maleficent teleporting in to Morbia, and Mirage presenting Anti-Sora to the sorceress as a present, Anti-Sora behaving like an affectionate puppy towards Maleficent... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Cutscene After Boss Battle: Mirage grunts softly, staggering back from Sora and clutching her midsection. She scowls briefly, but then chuckles at him. She compliments him on his skill, and invites him back again, forcibly teleporting him to a random world. Sora, Donald, and Goofy look around, confused, and Sora notices that he has something in his pocket...
My top five, in order: 1.) Saix Something about this moonlight dreamer makes me smile, and feel all warm and fuzzy inside... 2.) Luxord He's just cool. He always struck me as one of the more pleasant-to-be-around members of the Organization, and he has some fun powers. 3.) Demyx I can't think of anyone who DOESN'T like this fun little guy. And if you think about it, he could actually appear in the live DisneyLand show, Fantasmic! Imagine hearing 'Dance Water Dance!' live and in person, and then seeing it actually happen. Hee hee hee. :) 4.) Zexion I freely admit to not thinking much of Zexion at first. He was always just sorta... y'know, just sorta THERE. But with the revelation of his powers and his weapon, he just jumped WAY up on my coolness meter. Heh. I can just imagine him saying this after destroying someone with his spotlights game... "And smashed into bits he was. The end." 5.) Lexaeus/Larxene tie The big guy just doesn't get enough love. He always struck me as the Organization's answer to Goliath, and as such I usually imagine him having Kieth David as an American voice actor. And after reading 'Those Without Spines,' my respect and fondness for old Lexykins went up greatly. And as for Lar-Lar the Looney... Hee. In addition to being cute and having some awesome ninja moves, she's also homicidally psychotic and fun. :)
Thanks for the kind words, folks. I'll behave, I promise.
