Shai fought fiercely against the beast, but it showed no signs of weakening. Suddenly the creature flapped its giant fan wings creating two large twisters which swiftly overtook Shai. Inside, the harsh spinning of the twister cut at Shai's body. Unable to move for a time, he concentrated his best trying to devise a strategy. Soon, the twisters vanished and Shai fell to the ground hard. "Huff...huff...this thing is serious, but thanks to that attack, I've got an idea." Slowly standing to his feet, he lifted Bloody Valentine and started to set his plan into motion. As he charged the great beast, it sent out several waves of air, holding back Shai. It then called forth lightning from the sky down in Shai's vacinity. Quickly dodging each strike, he envoked his Reflect element and was able to deflect the raging torrents blocking his path to the monster. "So, it did work. Good thing...huh?" Suddenly, the beast began to hover and soon flew at him. He tried his best to block the attack, but the creature's headon attack shattered his reflect defense and sent him flying back with minimal damage. "Darn, with that kind of power, I may not be able to get him like I was planning. No matter...I'll never lose to this thing." He stood up as the birdmonster came back around for a second assault. At the point of contact, he envoked Reflect again, this time on Bloody Valentine, closed in its Piercing Strike Mode. As the two forces contended, Shai propelled himself over the the creature's back, using a combination of the Reflect element with the switch to Rain-maker mode, which spread out the reflect defense. Tilting it downward, it bounced him from the ground and landing on the creature's back, he began to experiment.
"What's the deal with that lady anyway? How did that kind of person end of ruling over such a beautiful place. She clearly doesnt match her surroundings at all," he chuckles.
"But your back...," he began. It truely was a strange sight. He'd heard of pain, but having lived alone most of his existance, had never experienced it himself. He never thought about it before, but had inflicted damage on others. To be capable of such a thing... She seemed to be doing alright, but wasnt moving the same as she had been earlier. He didn't know what to do. It saddened Sankai to see that he didnt know how to relate to such conditions. He wondered what it was like. "...what's it like...to feel pain?" He felt stupid for asking what seemed like a stupid question to ask, though he didnt understand. "I mean...no...ignore that. Do you want any help with that?" -------------------------- Meanwhile.... In the Court of the 7 Council, a dark figure stood amist a circle of cloaked individuals. Shaista: So...I've been contemplating my next move for some time. We've come along way, surpassing even the last Enigmatic Emperor. Together, we will lead everyone into the future. Come my council, let us make preparations for our next conquest. OCC: I just posted an update for anyone who's interested.
"!!!!" Sankai couldnt believe what he just saw. He looked back at the cruel ruler with anger in his eyes at her mistreatment of her subjects. "How could someone like that be allowed to continue to rule this place," he asked himself as he ran to catch up to injured girl. "Hey...wait up," he said as he got closer. In his mind, he wondered why anyone, let alone this beautiful young lady would work for such a ruthless dictator. Apart of him wanted to inquire about it, but he didn't want to cause her any trouble, besides she looked to be in bad shape to try and continue working. This just won't do, he thought as he finally was walking side by side with Crysalis. "That must have been a terrible ordeal. I wish I could have done something, but I was just too shocked by what I saw. Are you alright?"
OOC: Yay, I'm back. Welcome AkuseruVIII. Your character has been added. Enjoy. Sankai looked after the girl as she ran away. He looked back and forth between the girl's bad situation and the queen who seemed unphased almost by the assault of the dark creatures. "Are those guys gonna be able to stop the black creatures?" he asked the queen, downplaying his knowledge about the heartless. He was itching to help fight off the heartless, but something in him was telling him to wait for a moment before entering the fray. The conflict in him began to manifest as his sword came into his hand without his knowing.
OCC: Yay, I'm finallyback. "!!!!" Rayne was at a loss for words. "I guess he decided to leave. Well, that sure was confusing. Oh wells. Onwards!" He began again and started towards the entrance, but he suddenly felt the eyes of another on his back.
OOC: Finally back on. Sorry to keep you waiting. Meanwhile, Shai's test was underway. Standing in the wavering peninsula, Shai faced down a large creature decending from a storm cloud. Its body was the form of an eagle, with the head of a man. It had two human arms weilding cirular wind blades, its wings were large fans, which caused great gusts when they moved. Shai took hold of Bloody Valentine as a voice loomed over the area: "Returned to the living you will be, if only you cleave this great beast of invulnerability. Find its weakness if you may or trapped you will become in the torrent of his abominable wave."
"No...I'm fine, but this is a sign. See?" He points to the puddle which forms a distinct shape. A broken heart. "Its the mark for a ritual I 'have' to complete before I continue on. Its been preordain since before my birth. Failure to complete it will result in instant death. Here, someone take this." Shai extends his hand to Jordie, revealing a blue orb. "When they take me, this object is the only thing that ties me back to this realm of life. If you lose it, I can't return. Im sorry for suddenl springing this on you. I didnt think things would turn out this way...." He began to slowly fade away, saying, " This test won't take long. Please hold onto that for me for the time being. I'm counting on you." OOC: Sorry guys. I gotta go home this weekend and I dont exactly have internet access there, but I'm working on a solution, so I might be back online this weekend, but if not "Moumantai!" I'll be back Sunday.
"I've got a bad feeling." Shai looked up at the sky. No clouds in sight. "Its gonna rain today...ugh" Suddenly, Shai dropped to his knees in pain, coughing up blood. "Darnit. Not now."
"while i was surveying the area, I saw something...strange." He pulled out what appeared to be a root covered in dark matter. "I've never seen something like this before. Anyone have any ideas?"
"sigh....cant believe he got away again. I'll get him next time." Shai balled his fist as he put away his umbrella blade Bloody Valentine. (OOC: ...and that's why they call me the Rain Man. LAWL!)
OOC: Riku1186, mind if we postpone the fight? I'm going home this weekend. If I can, I'm trying to get internet hooked up back there, so I may be able to get online this weekend afterall.

OOC: Welcome to Requiem Hakumei and Chase. I've added you to the list now. Also, I probably wont be around this weekend unless I get internet setup at home, so you guys go on ahead w/ the rp. I'll be back Sunday. As the colorful character made her exit, Sankai blinked his eyes in bewilderment. Then he looked to who appeared to be the authority figure. "Maybe she has some answers" He begins to walk over to the large lady and starts, "You appear to be the person in charge. Am I right?"
OCC: Please excuse my tardiness. Classes are murder. lol! Shai appears from behind the e.s. "So, you're really here. I thought I killed you last time. I won't make that mistake again." Shai drew his weapon of choice. Something that one would never think to fight with, but there in his hands, something that appeared to be....an umbrella. (OCC: comedy relief activate!)
OOC : Ahh!!! Its the home of my archenemy. lol! Shai looked around the whimsical castle with an uneasy feeling. "what strange place is this?" This world seemed alittle different from other places he'd been up to date. Everything seemed very fantastic and animated. It was bright and colorful, this kingdom was. Shai began to wander off. "If its ok with everyone, I'd like to scout ahead and survey the area abit. I wont go too far."
Drifting through the dense green area, Sankai happened upon a large rock, and there upon the rock lay a round stripped cat at leisure. The cat spoke in riddles, confusing Sankai, who had no idea cats could talk. " If I am because you are..." "Hmmm......?" "...and you are only because I am...what am I?" "Huh? What do you mean?" "...and what are you?" "!!!!!!!!!" "....Remember that everything is interconnected, interrelated and interdependent...the truth you seek is within the heart of everyone...." The cat faded from the area in a cloud of purple smoke. Behind the rock the cat lay on, a path through large green spikes opened, leaving Sankai with an uneasy feeling. "Everything is connected? We exist for each other's sake? What's it all mean? The truth is in the heart....huh. Well, in any case, I guess I need to follow the path that lies before me." As he walked through the opening, his eyes were greated by some of the strangest creatures he ever saw. Rectangular was the shape of their body, they walked in the 3rd dimension, but they looked so flat, they could be 1 dimensional. Then there was a loud mugly female with a large body, barking orders to the paper-flat people as they hobbled along. "What the heck kind of place is this?" He said as a disturbed look crossed his face."
OOC: That was an amusing couple of pages in my absence. Sankai stood pondering all that was said during the conversation. New faces had entered into the talk as well, raising more and more questions. Among those questions are motives, who the heck that guy who fell from the sky really is, and what of the uncontrollable power Jordie spoke of. He was confident in his ability to protect himself from any attack, but he was curious as to the extent of the power. Also the armor stayed on his mind. Finally breaking his silence, "So...this is where it all begins? By the way, my name is Shai. Nice to meet you both."
"Hmm...." Shai pondered a moment. Teaming up would increase the chance of locating the Heart, but... After he thought it over in his mind, he replied,"Well, that was pretty sudden. I suppose we could team up. Going solo gets kind of old after awhile." He looked over at Jordie. The idea came up so quickly, the three hardly knew each other. Not wanting to put any pressure on Jordie's response, he closed his eyes.
"Nice to meet you..." His eyes shifted to Doxyc as he replied, then over to Jordie as she pulled out a fragment from a map. This would indeed be valuable to see, but he couldnt shake the warm feeling he got when he approached the pair.
