"I...think it did." She swallowed, taking a small step back and finding her back pressed against the tree. She could feel the memories of his life wafting into her head by the second but tried to ignore them. Why oh why was she cursed with the ability to take people's pain away?
Twilight jumped. She had been alone a moment ago. She hadn't even seen him arrive. "W...what?"
Jasper winced but didn't cry out. "Gee. Thanks." He rolled his eyes. "What other arrows do you have? I've never seen anything like them."

Twilight had already packed up her stuff and stood waiting for Gharanth to join her. Things were confusing. There was the strange man, Xana and this map thing and the orbs to deal with and Aldon and... She sighed and leaned against a tree, deep in thought.
Jasper grinned. "Yeah...Im happy you didn't use that." He nodded. "Im grateful you weren't feeling you had to kill me." He laughed, straightening his shirt a little and brushing off the dirt. His back still stung from whatever she'd done to him and he frowned a little. "What did you do to my back though? It felt like it was being stabbed repeatedly."
Jasper smirked, panting. "I beleive i could say the same about you." He gestured with his head at a small bomb between her feet. He'd dropped it just before the arms had grabbed him. It went off, throwing her back. He pulled himself free and dusted himself off. "It's a draw." He rubbed his back and streached out a hand to help her up. "It was alot of fun fighting you."
Jasper froze. Something wasn't right. Encalla wasn't the greatest fighter, Jasper had beaten worse, but she had tricks, traps. He frowned at her. "why not come get me?" He asked. ooc:g2g. C ya tomorrow.
"As you may specialize in shot. I specialize in hand to hand." He grinned at her, but faltered a little as another pain hit his back, just like the first one. "Show me what you've got."
Jaspers jaw tightend but he stayed composed, not showing weakness as pain lanced up his spine. 'Ow...' he thought bitterly, watching Encalla closely. He wasn't gonna lose but it didn't look like he was gonna win. Encalla and him were pretty much matched, except for the fact that she was armed with a multiple arrangement of arrows and he had only his hands. That meant nothing though. He smiled as he saw an opening on her right and penetrated it, jamming his fingertips into her side, not with enough force to hurt too much though, just to let her know that she wasn't winning or losing for that matter.
Jasper grabbed one of the arrowes by the shaft and turned it on encalla, throwing it back her way and ducking around behind her. "weak-chmeak. I can handle it." He smiled encouragingly, never missing a beat.
"Doubt it." Jasper smiled, motioning at his pocket knife which was pointed at her stomache, hidden slightly under his sleave. "It this was a real fight. You'd be loosing a few guts by now. It's a tie so far." He spread his feet apart and got into a defensive stance.
Twilight closed her eyes and pictured again the man from her dream. The one that would use the orbs for destruction. She wouldn't let him hurt Gharanth. She wasn't gonna let Gharanth get hurt. She would count on it. He so wanted to protect her, but the only thing she wanted was for him to be happy.
Jasper chucked a bit and brushed the arrow aside. "Clever." He grinned widely, moving like lightning as he closed the distance between them, making it a hand to hand fight rather than distance. He knew Encalla was a master with distance so he made as little of it as possible, swiping his leg under her ankle.
Jasper raised an eyebrow as he ducked out of the way, grabbing the lid off a trashcan and tossing it at her like a disk. It was little more than a blur as it sped towards her. "Heart arrows?" He asked, interested in the multiple kinds of points her arrows had.
Twilight drew in a sharp breath. "I do not want you ever to say you will die for me or for any other reason." She wrapped her arms tight around him as if they had only a little time left together. "I don't think my heart would be able to take it if..."
Jasper grinned. He'd seen something like that comming. He tossed himself at the ground and rolled to the side. In an instant, his pocket knife was in his hand. He smiled at her. "Let the class begin."
Twilight stretched her stiff arms and stood up from her covers. She slid into her boots and pulled her cloak on, fastening it securely. "So what are we gonna do now?" Twilight asked as she brushed her long brown hair out with her fingers. "Do we head to this Elemental warrior place Xana gave us directions to or do we go after Xana. Or Aldon. Or..." She breathed, slumping down to sit next to Gharanth. "What do you think?"
Jasper rolled his eyes. "I know you're good but you're not the only one who's been trained to fight."
