Pfft, when I get around to installing Halo again, I'll wreck any of you, anyday. >.>

I played Halo for almost 3 years straight, got into 1st place during Clan Wars 7 times, and was on the top 100 leaderboards for Halo 2 on XBL for over 3 months. (41 in Team Slayer, legit.)

So yeah, I'll take all of you on. xD!!

xD!!! Yay, you're finally here EMS. ^^

But yeah, Square has been having problems with milking their games lately. Maybe they're running out of ideas for new games?

Not that the games they release EVVVVERRR have an almost identical story to another. *cough* >.>

    Falco, you're wrong.

Sony is taking the same path as it did with the PS2. This means that it will be up to publishers themselves to provide players with online features and, likewise, for the players to have a separate account for each publisher in order to play online.

^ This is the same network service the PS2 used, and is virtually the only way for online play to be free. One giant network does not need to be run, but only a small one, for a single game itself. Affordable, and there needs to be no charge.

You're also wrong about the backwards compatibility.

"Sony Computer Entertainment boss Ken Kutaragi has confirmed that the PlayStation 3 will feature backwards compatibility with the PS2 and PSone, ensuring continued support for older software formats in the new hardware."

Guys, a blu-ray player itself is over 1000$. If I wanted a blu-ray player, I would just buy the PS3 and save 300$, but it also serves as an amazing gaming system.

PS3 supports 1080p HD video, and has a free online system.

Also, such games as Metal Gear Solid 4, Devil May Cry 4, FFXIII+, etc, will probably drive most die-hard fans into buying the PS3 mainly for these single titles. I don't believe at all that the pricing is too high, or that it's not worth the money.

Anyone here who thinks it is, don't buy it. I'd love to see you try and buy all of the hardware, software, and components that the PS3 contains, and build a console under 600$, while still making some kind of profit. There's just no way. In my opinion, the PS3 is DAMN cheap for what it contains. Like I said, a blu-ray player itself is over 1000$. 600$ for a PS3 is more than a good deal. I don't see how you all can't look past the casing and figure out that they really can't price it any cheaper.

^ If you were to purchase every single piece of hardware that the PS3 contains, I'd hope you had well over 5,000$, because you'll need it.

If you still have a valid argument, then be my guest. Impress me.

Bungie isn't fully into this concept. Another game designer took up the idea, and just asked to use the rights to Halo. It could very well be PC-only. Who knows?

Xehsin, there are countless things that are as real as yourself, that have no scientific, or physical evidence to prove it. There's still no evidence to prove how we even exist, and how we started. I, myself, don't know if I believe in God or not. In some cases, I can understand how a higher power would have created mankind, but in others, I see it as a joke.
