Jake rolled his eyes. "You mean this file?" Jake pulled it out smirking as he waved it in the air in front of him. "You want it? Too bad for you." ooc: yeah. I plan to change my name as soon as possible. Then maybe people won't mistake me for a boy.
Jake reflexively touched the folded up plans in his jean pocket. "So what if I did?" He asked, eyes narrow. ooc: HA! You know. I really have to change my name cause this entire cite thinks Rax is a boy. Im actually a girl. Yah...seriously...
Twilight nodded against his chest. "Pain...that's all it causes...suffering and destruction. I don't understand why it has to be that way..."
Jake rubbed the back of his neck. "You can think about it. You have plenty of time." He stood, streaching his legs and rolling his tense shoulders. "I'll be back a little later." He said. He turned and headed down the deserted hall.
Twilight let Gharanth's words sink in, relaxing in his strong but warm arms. She had nothing to say, just listening to his wisdom and letting her mind soak it up completely. She wanted to remember every word, every sylable he spoke. She never had wanted anything more.
"You could stay with me if you like." Jake shrugged. "I mean...if you can't find anyplace else."
Jake sighed. "That's right...what are you gonna tell your family? I'm pretty much set since i really don't need to explane to anyone but you..." Jake thought. "You could always...not go back...at least until the school year is over. Then you won't have to explain."
Jake smiled faintly. "Same here. When you cut out the evil shadow trying to kill us, it isn't so bad."
"I know, Alyce..." Jake swallowed hard. "As soon as the bomb goes off...he'll probably strike..."
"He's just taunting us...he's killing us from the inside out, driving us insane. He knows our fears, our weaknesses...I dunno how but he does. Why else would he start that fire, yet not kill you." Jake looked over at Alyce. "I don't think he's going in order anymore. I think he's just trying to scare us...and it's working."
Jake shuddered at the thought. All those flames. They had been everywhere. And when he saw Alyce in the middle of them...he was so afraid...horrified that... He shook his head, setting the lotion aside and turning to Geryl. "The shadow is playing games with us. he can kill us whenever he wants, but he isn't. We're just his puppets."
Jake pulled out the lotion he'd found in the cabnet. "In the fire back there," He said to Alyce. "Did you get burned?"
"I don't think a bomb is gonna work on the shadow. I was just gonna blow up the wall and get us out of here."
Jake looked up and nodded. "I've been making one in my dorm. It's only an F-13 at this point but im gonna raise it to a G-20 tonight. Why?"
Jake nodded, sitting next to her and eyeing the papers. "Well, the bomb is almost done. I need about a day more and we should be able to get out...maybe... I didn't have alot of the right parts so I had to improvise. It should work though."
Twilight smiled at him thankfully, putting her hands against his chest and kissing him. "Thank you, Gharanth. You'll make me a warrior yet." ooc: Going to a dance. B Back tomorrow.
ooc: I have to go soon. School dance. Jake pulled out some lotion, wiping some suit off his nose but just managing to smear it across his face. He saw the papers and raised an eyebrow. "What's that?"
Jake nodded, taking her hand and leading her down the hallway and out the door, into the other building where the fire couldn't reach. He led her to the nurses office and sat her on the small cot, reaching into the cabnets to get something to put on any burns she had.
Twilight rolled her eyes. "At least I know now that I can clean my enemies to death." She wiped mud off her face.
