Jake stumbled back, he knew who it was immediatly. "J...Jasmine???"
Dawn checked her card. "I'm in dorm 4-A...that's just down the hall from you." She smiled at them cheerfully.
Jake smiled. "Gee...I'll have to thank him for that." The shadow smiled at Jasmine, his latest creation. Things were going to be alot easier now. I'm keeping score as of now.
"Anna? You okay?" Roxy waved a hand in front of her face. "It's okay. All I have to do is pick the lock and we can leave."
Roxy froze, spinning around and pounding on the door. "Shoot..." She made a face. 'I'm such an idiot. Why did I underestimate him?'
Dawn shrugged. "I know as much about this place as you do. Maybe less."
ooc: I'm keeping score. shadow: 1 Humans:0 "Yeah...which one of you stabbed me?" He lifted his shirt a little to show the cut on his side where Geryl's sword had hit him.
ooc: That's such an aweful thing to say!
"I told you you'd like it. You can do anything now. Whatever you like, your will be done." The shadow grinned evilly. "Can't you feel it? The power?"
Dawn grinned. "Good. I don't think Max can stand having another creature out trying to eat him."
Jake laughed. "I'll try."
"Wow..." Dawn smiled. "That's amazing. Max is alot easier. I just feed him and he sleeps the rest of the time." Dawn patted her mouse on the head.
Jake smiled at her but it didn't reach his eyes. He gave her a hug. "Thank you." He whispered in her ear. "Alyce." He used her real name instead of her nickname.
The shadow laughed. "That's it, Jasmine. Let it take over. You will be happy once again."
Dawn winced. "Doesn't that hurt?"
Bella smiled back, weakly. "What the heck does the king want with us anyways? Why cant he leave us alone?"
Dawn nodded, looking down at Pyre's dog. "You're dog doesn't eat mice does he?"
"I know..." He sighed. "I just...it's not a really happy story is all." "I know, my dear. And you could have it. Just give into the shadow. I could get it for you. You could be happy again."
Dawn took a step away, putting Max into her pocket and letting him peak his head out. "Just make sure he doesn't eat, Max. I'm Dawn." She nodded at him, not daring to go near him while he held the snake.
