Did you ever play the game?...

Is not whether Quinton did not or did not do fine. He did do fine. And he's a great VA. But, I just don't like this tone and sound that he took on Axel in this game, and I definitely preferred the KH2 version rather this one. For those of you say that, oh Axel was "darker" in CoM [despite the fact that he kept his lively and lulz attitude, only in a more sadistic sense], good luck fitting that voice on him in 358/2 Days, that happens during CoM as well. I really don't like it. Sounds too...raspy, and as I said, made Axel feel like he smoked too many cigars, and his throat is having problems, as well as having aged a few years. He doesn't sound young anymore, and Axel is young. A man, but still young enough to be in his early 20s. Axel isn't a teenager like Sora either to change his voice, unless Axel himself did it on purpose.

It was different enough for me to question if it was Flynn for a moment, considering how much I'm used to his KH2 Axel, and how much contrast it was to this one. You don't need to sound so different to make a character more "darker". The Japanese VA didn't change his tone, and Axel was still the a-hole he was, and bad@ss. I don't see why Quinton couldn't do the same. Just my opinion.

Hopefully, this Re: CoM is a one time thing.

I understand the dialogue. Is botched, and rushed, and it bothered me. If it wasn't for that, the VA for Larxene wouldn't sound so awkward, and I liked her.

But, I thought we were talking about the voice tone, not the way the lines were delivered. Axel sounds too rough now. I liked KH2's.

    I didn't like Axel's voice.

It sounds like he smoked too many cigars, and his throat dried. I'm used to the KH2 Axel [which was raspy, but it wasn't too much rasp where you wonder if he ate something sharp and it got stuck in his neck], and for a moment, I even wondered if it was really Quinton Flynn. Axel is darker, but that doesn't mean the tone had to change to that point where now I don't want him whispering in my ear anymore. Besides, even in CoM, if said Axel is darker, he still kept his overall lulz/happy attitude in sadistic way at some points, so, it wasn't like he had to sound any different either [and if the Japanese VA can do complete a-hole without any changes in Axel's voice, then I don't know why Quinton can't], nor can Axel has his voice changing; he's not a growing teenager, he's a adult.

"Number Nine," was what Xemnas simply called him by the ever monotonous tone that had possessed him ever since his loss to Darkness, staring coldly at the boy sitting a few seats away. He had been suspicious of his behavior from the moment he had left the hallway, and how, he thought, that he trailed after Larxene's steps. Then, of course, his actions while the meeting was preparing didn't escape him, and he was to get to the very last reason for this. There was something he didn't know, or rather, pondered over, and he did not like not knowing. It was to be confirmed now, for the Nobody's sake, otherwise. "I have questioned the act of your...departure before after Larxene, and while, I am not positive, I guessed that you went to trace the girl? Then, your misconduct in the meeting, and loud interruptions, and, we cannot forget, how you outwardly expressed your thoughts out loud."

He descended his lifeless orange eyes at the man in a clear message that he was to reveal anything. "And thus, I would ask, where did you go, and why were thinking about what you've done? I do have my conclusions, I just need a sort of factual back up from the very culprit. Do not lie to me, and if you answer this, the sooner this is over. Let's make this easier for the both of us."

Larxene shrugged casually as he asked to come in, and she held the door open as he stepped inside, closing it behind him, though getting a sense that this was going to go somewhere that was breaking boundaries in terms of planning. She didn't think it was the proper time, at all. Either way, she followed, only stopping in the middle of the room as he made himself comfortable, trying not to smirk amusedly at the shower of petals, yet, she did roll her eyes. He always had to make a entrance. Her instincts came true when he begin to talk about their ploy, so to speak, a ploy she was still trying to get over to fully agreeing with, but, she was far too into it now to turn back, right? If she wasn't certain, she should have kept out of it from the beginning. Her eyes closed as she sighed thoughtfully as he peeked through her window, and she sort of frowned when he mentioned Castle Oblivion. Again. The castle was ultimately boring, however, she didn't think Castle Oblivion was to be any different, with its white, white walls, and its white, white ceilings, and its white, white everything, and it was as pale and empty as they themselves are.

At the suggestion, it did sound quite marvelous, having to get away from being partnered up with Demyx, and Marluxia would in the end, not attempt a act of murder with his team. Nevertheless, this was a bad time to do so, as she had finalized before. Reopening her aquatic, big innocent eyes that were deceptive just as her looks, she shook her head, gazing at him, "Marluxia..." Larxene took a breath. "It does sound tempting, but, is a very bad move right now. Think for a second. He's suspicious of us now, so I doubt, under no circumstances, would he ever allowed us to be paired up. No convincing will do any good. And if you do propose that, we will be even MORE in red alert in his eyes, we'll give him more reason not to trust us, and I wouldn't be surprised...not that I can be, but for the sake of speech, if he ended getting rid of us in any matter. And, really, is foolish as of this point. Yes, we might succeed or may not succeed, yet, we not only have to deal with our own Organization, but the other one. Things have gotten complicated so far, and doing anything now is reckless, if you understand what I'm saying."

At this, her expression turned to critical, and she studied him with a sense of stern air that wasn't seen usually on her face. "Being Lord is getting too much into your head, you might not see it, but I do. You're changing...and you in that role might as well be a trap in itself that he chose. I suggest we wait until this is all over...but, tell me." She eyed very seriously, more than what she had shown in the few seconds she had stated her opinion. "Is this really worth it?"

Larxene yawned lightly, laying down on her bed with her arms behind her head in her pillow, doing nothing, but looking at the ceiling, waiting. When she left the meeting chamber, she took it upon herself to get a bit of rest for the task coming ahead in her room [where else would she be?], even though nothing was stated about her job yet. She really did not want to be paired up with Demyx, and she pondered on why the holy souls won't give her some mercy from the irritating musician. She had enough of him for today, in her opinion, and she was sick of his presence. Another negative to deal with was that, while she could pull a revenge move on him if they ended up as a team, it can perhaps screw up the mission, and failure, to her, was not a option. Especially when she had to live up to her position as a Organization member, being a female amongst a group of men, minus Xioimara.

    Speaking of her...

What a pain, having to save someone...damsel in distress...

A knock distracted her from her thoughts, knowing who it was immediately; Marluxia was the only one, other than Luxord, who had manners enough not to portal in her room, but actually respect privacy, and knock like a gentleman should. She doubted it was Luxord, considering he would not have anything to talk to her about. Sitting up and glancing at the entryway, letting out a breath, she slid off her mattress and got on her feet, heading towards the person waiting for her. What would he want now in this short period of time? Grabbing the knob, she twisted it, and swung the door open to find the pink haired man there, as expected. Larxene just raised a questionable eyebrow, merely staring at him with a tilt of her head for a moment. "What is it? We only have 10 minutes to prepare for what was assigned to us..." At this, her expression changed devilishly as she smirked in amusement, being reminded of who he got stuck with again as she teased, "Shouldn't you be with your partner?"

She was somewhat serious, however. If they don't discuss, or reach some type of agreement between the two as professionals, then their part of the plan will certainly be a disaster. That was even worse than her and Demyx, at least she could ignore the Melodious Nocturne enough to complete what they were there for.

OOC: The only thing I'd say you should do, is put in punctuation. The comma and period works wonders? >.>

Larxene left the summoned portal, which worked, as she turned her head around to face him, now noting he was chained as well with a frown. Rolling her eyes to the side as she passed a hand by one of her bangs casually, she merely summoned her kunai once more, and bent down, working and performing the same action she had done to get out herself, and multiple sounds of clinks and chains clattering filled the cell in certain gaps as she freed him. She tried not to think of what he said, considering she had her own plans on not going to Where Nothing Gathers, and straightened herself up once she was done. It was odd how she couldn't really feel anything or express some sort of emotion upon seeing Marluxia again, it was like it flew pass her, though, she shouldn't have been expecting any less in being who she was. Crossing her arms, and remaining silent for awhile, she simply stated, "If you want, you can go to Where Nothing Gathers yourself by portal. I got...certain things to do..."

The warning look on her expresion told not to pry otherwise.

Ken just chuckled deeply in good fashion at the girl's decline, and placed his hand on his hip, where his cellphone was held, as he took it out of its holster. Waving it in front of her eyes almost jokingly, he simply grabbed her hand in a soft touch, and placed it in her palm neatly, a innocent glint in his eyes. "In that case, let me give you this. I might not be as trustful as the taxi drivers, and I may be a stranger, but I do help those in need, especially such divine creatures as yourselves. It would still be my pleasure to drive you wherever your destination may be. Call the police, have them follow me in the car, do as you wish, you will see that I will do you no harm."

With that, he leaned back, and waited calmly, his eyes surveying the other two present.

Larxene sat calmly, although bored, in the stone cold floor of the cell, looking at particularly nothing as she rested her back against the wall. She could've gotten out sooner, really, yet, she was not in the mood to see or talk to anyone present, and the rest of her time was spent pondering over how she'd come back after what felt like years. The last thing she remembered was feeling...no, she couldn't feel, it was like something just tugged at her chest when she was fading, and felt the need to express sadness...and she couldn't believe she actually did. She had always expected, if she was to die or fade, that she'd go out proudly and without a care, but it ended up that she was pathetically upset instead, and she found herself not wanting to go, and become nothing, and lost in the hands of darkness, seizing to exist. Not that she ever existed, however. It wasn't exactly the strong goodbye she was awaiting for in front of the enemy, and she scolded herself for being out of control in that situation. She swore, if she ever saw that idiotic brown haired kid again...

She seethed alone, and also kept in mind that the ever redheaded arse, the damn Axel, was back as well. It was him to blame, really. And the good thing was, if they were all in the similar position that she was in, she could conclude that they all faded just as she did, and the plan ultimately failed. Thus, no Hearts for them at all in the end. Not any surprise. It was what everyone deserved, especially the one who ruined the whole scheme on first go. Yet, that shouldn't matter anymore, and she found that she didn't really care or was bothered. It's the reason for how not to be without a Heart. It was done with, and it didn't affect her as much as it would if she did have that said Heart, which was the positive thing that occurred between all the lies and betrayal. She couldn't be hurt by it, or suffer in pain, it was empty, and it was much better than her times as a human where she had to deal with it more than she could bear.

As she had sat here quietly, she wasn't in the "joy" of joining the others any time soon, and truthfully, she wasn't going to. She was finished with this boring castle, she was done with the Organization, or lack thereof, there was nothing keeping her here or tied down, and hence, she wasn't going to go back to her first mistake on ever letting herself be found by Xigbar, and getting into the hell of a mess that she wasn't truly aware of in the beginning. She was not going to be around these people, or rather, creatures, once more. With them, who needs enemies? It was best to be alone than dealing with the same crap over. Determined to get out of here, and never come back, and hopefully, forget this part of her non-life of it ever happening, she did her little old trick that she had learned when you are chained. Yes, for some insane reason, she was the one with chains stuck on her. It was amusing, when it reminded her of a something, or her memories made her think it was funny, to feign helplessness, only to then give them a bit of a shock. She twisted her skinny wrists a little, and turned them to the side, and easily enough, after a moment of silent fighting with metal, one came out. Flexing her fingers as she had it free, she summoned a kunai, and just simply dug the blade into the keyhole of the next cuff, sending a bit of electricity, and twisting it, until the small tink of a "click" was heard.

Now, out of her imprisonment, massaging her hands, with sharp aquatic eyes, she studied her surroundings. The first thought in her mind was that Marluxia was still in here as she noticed the layered, and perfectly styled, mass of pink hair farther down, and, seeing as he was the only one who ever really gave her the time of day, and wiling to listen and understand, set off towards him. She didn't have to, it wasn't like they were partners any longer, but she believed he deserved it compared to who she had to deal with. She walked briskly, and it didn't take long to reach the well-built man, sending him a devious smirk in greeting once she set her gaze on his face. "Long time no see, Marluxia."

It was short and nipped, and she wasn't to waste any time, despite the affinity of their team raging in her brain. The faster she got out of here, the better. She raised a hand to open a black void, attempting to see if she could portal now, because when she was trapped, it seems that the chains had a power of their own, and blocked her ability to move in the Corridors of Darkness.

OOC: So, we'll still be seeing you? *leans in anticipation*

And Carne Asada is pretty =3. Though, this question time is the perfect place to ask about Axel's family.

"I'm...a guy," Axel replied very truthfully with a blank tone, that statement alone sounding like it was suppose to be the answer to that question and more of the same type. Of course he had chugged down a two liter soda, if not, three. It was one of those "idiot" moments, and it was mostly on a contest. He won, but the consequences weren't...the best he's ever experienced, let's just say. He inwardly cringed. Yet, seeing as it was his turn, he tried to think of a good question, something that wasn't a bit random, but, that will give him information. He took another lick and bite of his ice cream many times as he thought, before finally getting to one, and a sly smirk graced his lips. He turned that to her, knowing this was only the beginning. "Have you had any experience that I should know about or any boyfriends?"

OOC: But, every forum needs its once a year n00b, is impossible to outrun that one. We had to deal with FinalForm and swordser before. Though, I haven't seen any of what you're saying. No looking down in other threads, or mods thinking they're the best, at least the ones with the red names, who I personally interact with.

I'm probably hiding under a rock, but if you're hanging in a place where is full of it, you might want to ignore it. There's no reason to leave, at least, everything D:. The RP Arena isn't a problem right?

BTW, I love the new Rei pic :P.

Axel was glad that Rei didn't bother to inquire more on the topic, and let it go, something Larxene wouldn't have ever done, and honestly, neither would he. If he wanted to find something out, he would find it, even if he had to speak to the said clerk. As it seems his slip up will be forgotten about, he took the calming surroundings to heart as he ate another bite of sea salt ice cream, halfway finished. He liked this, just relaxing, and having minimal, short conversations. If it wasn't for that b!tch, who's name he's forgotten already, what was it...Daisy? It started with a "D". Either way, if it wasnt for her, the overall day would be one of the best he's had. And it was so now. What happened was left behind, and he can get it off of his mind.

He just wished he had his iPod, he enjoyed hearing music as well when in this type of atmosphere. And his friends, they haven't been hanging out so much, Zexion, Demyx, and Roxas...had life been so busy? Were the days of their band, which they had before, him on the drums, gone from them? They hadn't played a song in such a long time, it was a wonder if they even remember that they were a group. He should suggest that, one day...Zexion will surely return to the keyboards, it was the only thing he could do that didn't involve books, papers, and pencils, Roxas always loved his guitar, and Demyx can play his bass, complaining all the time that he rather play his sitar. Though, really, they didn't need a sitar unless they wanted a different sound in there. And after that one accident when the musician had something bothering him in the night where they had a gig, he, unaware and unintentionally, launched massive amounts of water clones to the crowd...and them. Needless to say, they didn't get their paycheck and were banned from coming back to the establishment. And Demyx was prohibited from using the damn sitar ever again by his soaked band mates. Of course, he could also never forget the club incident...he chuckled outloud at that, remembering that he thought about it back at the school dance too, and told Rei. Oh man, he definitely should get bookworm and A+ student Zexion, and Roxas, who he got in when underaged, drunk again, so they can shake their booties and hips, and fall all over the place. And this time, he would bring a camera. Black mail.

    Axel sighed sadly.

He missed those days, where they were such idiots.

They needed to be idiots again.

Though, the only way Zexion can act like a idiot is to get him some alcohol, so he might have to see about that. His friend said that he "wasn't going to drink another shot again", because not only will it cause "liver damage", it "burns up brain cells".

And of course, Zexion wouldn't want to get rid of his precious humongous brain cells.

And he still didn't know what was up with Roxas and the Olette girl, either. Did he screw it up? Nah, Roxas wasn't stupid....in serious need of dating advice and how to act, but not stupid. Unlike what he did. Did Larxene hate him still? He closed his eyes, remembering his song writing skills back then, as he hummed a melody as he breathed deeply. Maybe he could sing Larxene a serenade...the he can cut into chorus or something after the cheesy as the greatest cheese sandwich verse were done. Here I am, you see me, begging you for forgiveness. If it is true that I failed you, it wasn't my that my intention...blame me, and bury me, but don't ever leave...don't ignore me, please...

Alright, that sucked. Scrap that. He was probably rusty. And he wasn't that pathetic, he didn't do anything wrong, except tell the truth, and that should get him points, not lower them. Did Larxene preferred him to lie then? Because he can easily sleep with ten girls, and she won't be none the wiser. Would she like that instead?

He lifted one eye open when he heard Rei ask to play some sort of back and forth questioning as she interrupted his angry musings, and he opened his deep, jade eyes fully as he stared at her, his head tilting slightly in her direction. "Sure. You mean, like 20 questions?"

OOC: ZOMG! Carne Asada is here! :D

Xemnas just eyed Marluxia sharply as he went to leave without his word, knowing that if he continued his undesirable behavior, the consequences were rightly close. Anyone can fulfill the role of Lord to lead those at Castle Oblivion, and the man was lucky in that aspect to get it, as he had no idea just what that position truly meant when given. He stayed with his gaze for a moment longer where the pink haired figure once was, before turning to the rest to finish the meeting. "You all have been assigned your specific tasks, as well as your partners, and I will expect you to succeed without much hassle. In 10 minutes, as we wasted more time than usual, you will all leave on your own to your designated destination, so take your chance to prepare, or to discuss with your team mate, and be ready to accomplish the mission. Let this all be clear to you." His expression turned to a stern mask of stone. "Minus Demyx, dismiss."

Roxas, at the mention of Demyx staying behind, curiously eyed his Superior and at the musician, wondering what the mullet haired man had done to be kept in a private discussion with Xemnas. It was known to everyone that it wasn't the best thing to hear when those words spilled out of the their leader's mouth, and he was concerned. Not only that, but Demyx didn't have a partner assigned to him, and neither did Larxene, and, since the rest were paired up by the end, he knew that only meant those two, if they were to go, would inevitably be stuck together. And he thought Axel had it bad for who he had. Yes, he did feel for Demyx very much right now, even though as a Nobody, he was not suppose to feel anything. As the others were disappearing one after the other once Xemnas called the meeting to be done, Roxas, knowing there wasn't exactly anything he could do, as he didn't even understand the situation, hesitantly focused on his own partner, mouthing and sending hand signals to see where they were to meet, as in his opinion, they had the toughest job of the bunch, and the most crucial. There had to be a strategy somewhere.

After a while of "air messaging", he nodded, and with a last sympathetic glance to Demyx, darkness surrounded him as he portalled off, wanting to say something to Xemnas, but knowing it was useless to derive some plead to the hardened emotionless man.

As Where Nothing Gathers was becoming empty, and empty, until all the members have gone, Larxene stayed in her established throne, not being asked to stay, but doing so anyway. All the rest were given work to do respectively, and yet, she needed to know why she didn't have anything to do herself. Her partner was nonexistent as of this moment, and everyone was taken except Demyx, and someone forbid, if she ended up having him to be her companion for this, because that's how it was suspiciously and obviously rounding up to be. And certainly, she won't accept it without a liable argument on her part. The only factor that played of a horrible partner compared to what hers may be, and what made her a bit more elated, was knowing who Marluxia was thrown with. Truthfully, she was beginning to ponder whether their Superior wanted murder in his hands for his choices, because, there was no other conclusion as to who he picked for each.

Xemnas, she spotted, had her gaze on her now when the room they were in was bare of any beings, and she responded back with just as much of a blank stare, crossing her arms haughtily in the process.

"Whatever it is you want to speak to me about, which I am aware of, can be taken care of later, Number Twelve." It was a simple statement, though it held a dangerous and hazardous note in the syllables and tone, especially at his final words. "Now, if you can leave. I will summon you soon."

She glowered, yet, seeing as he wanted to have a talk with Demyx, for whatever reason it can possibly be, though she could only guess, and that he acknowledged the fact of why she hadn't moved, she obeyed without much trouble, not appreciating when Xemnas called her by her number, yet, knowing that it was held as a warning of what he can do if no one dares to listen. Larxene headed to portal off to her room, the darkness encircling her as she left, sending a dirty look at Demyx in finality.
