"You don't have to blame anything. It simply happened. It doesn't have to be your fault."
Matt was speachless. His thoughts were everywhere. 'A home... A family... 5 meals a day... A bedroom... A bed...' Then his thoughts changed a little. Going from bright to bleak in seconds. 'No captain... No ocean... No salty breeze... No crew... Land...' "I'll...have to think about it I mean...I grew up here."
Jayz fell onto his knees next to her, reaching out a hand. "What is it? What's wrong?"
"The past is the past. Leave it there. Please matt, this isn't your fault."
Matt triped over his feet, landing on the deck, looking up at her. His jaw was working up and down as he couldn't find words. All he managed was, "huh?"
"Punishment? For what?"
Matt nodded. Scrubbing the floor absentmindedly.
"See?" He smiled gentally, he could still feel the pain but not so much. "I'm a friend. You're okay."
Jayz put up his hands. "It's okay...i'm not going to hurt you..." He was walking towards her very slow. He offered her his hand. "It's alright."
"I grew up on the ship working for the captain so i guess the crew is sorta like my family. I'm pretty sure my parents died at sea, that's where the captain found me. Alone on a life boat. I don't remember it though."
"You don't need to worry. Anna will get better and everything will change. You just need to have hope."
Matt winced a bit. "I...don't really know..."
Bella's heart tightened and she stumbled into the room, falling into a seat next to him. She swallowed hard, squeezing his hand. "There's always something...always something we can do...we can handle this, matt."
"Anything, miss." Matt stood at attention, waiting patiently.
Jayz spotted her, trembling and pale. He was trying to take her pain but there was so much, he just couldn't do it. "Hey...are you alright?"
Bella eased the door open, pearing around the corner into the room. "How is she?"
Matt nodded, still smirking as he scrubbed the wood pannels. "Have you been enjoying the cruise, miss?"
Jayz felt a sudden burst of pain nearby. He hissed in agony, curseing his ability to take people's pain away. He decided whoever was in so much pain needed help and headed that way, towards Rella.
ooc: Is Anna still sick? Bella stood in the hallway in Anna's house, outside the room Anna and Matthew were in. She didn't want to intrude on anything. She couldn't imagine how Matt felt.
"Please, miss. It's alright. I got it. It's captains orders and what he says goes..." He paused, thinking of what to say next. He glanced over her shoulder and saw the sky was black off in the distance. A storm. He shrugged it off. Maybe the storm wasn't headed there way... ooc: If both you and Gharanth are on tonight, we might sink the ship today.
