Matt sighed. "I'll let you later if it means that much to you. But I'm on duty right now and before I can rest, I need to make sure you passengers are as well with the world as you were on board the Albatross."(<the name of the ship)
ooc: Bella is still on the porch I think. Is Matt next to her?
Matt grinned. "I know. You fixed my shoulder after I lugged Mademoiselle Clarisse's bags. Remember?" He stood, putting out his arm. "Please, miss. I want to make your island...adventure as relaxed as possible. You need not worry about me."
ooc: sheeze. You can't leave this place alone for one second without missing a jillion posts. What's happening?
Twilight smiled genuinly. "I think I can live with that."
Matt glanced up at her, wearily. He sat up rubbing at a spot on his shoulder. The shoulder had always bugged him, ever since he was little. The rowing had taken its deal on it. "That's quite alright, miss." He smiled. "You're supposed to be the one relaxing on this cruise...if you could still call it that." ooc:what is Raina's last name?
Jayz looked up. He hadn't been sleeping, that was impossible on his part, but he had zoned out. He saw that the creature he'd been helping was gone and frowned in slight disapointment. He actually missed her. It felt nice having someone there with him, even if it couldn't talk back.
The captain landed the lifeboat by morning. The sun was just comming up. He noticed that his lifeboat was the only one on the shore and frowned, knowing the outcome of the other boats wouldn't be good. Matt fell down in the sand, tired from all the rowing through the night. The crew had been stearing the boat for hours against the currant. Right now, he just wanted to sleep.
Matt slumped against the side of the boat caughing. His lungs hurt and it felt like someone had shooved a knife down his throat. The captain had the boat balanced, he could see a black line in the distance. An island. He hoped the other life boats had seen it too. He headed that way. ooc: I have to go. C you tomorrow.
"Well...I guess you can't really miss something you never had...or don't really know..." She shrugged. ooc: I'm going in like...5 minutes.
Matt reached but a wave crashed over his head and he was pushed under again. He shoved his hand up out of the water, kicking his feet hard.
Twilight thought. "Hm... well the man who raised me...I think his name was Cliffton."
Bella peared into the room, silently setting his drink down next to him. Then she turned and slowly closed the door behind her, letting them have their privacy. She walked out onto the porch to wait.
"She's not my-" The boat lurched and Matt lost his hold on the edge. He shouted as he was launched over the edge and into the water.
Bella swallowed hard. He was still blaming himself for this.
Twilight picked up her small bag. "Now it's your turn to ask the questions." She smiled at him cheerfully. "Anything you want."
Matt looked over at the man in the front of the boat. "I think he can strap himself in." He smirked at Erin, his fear making him joke.
Bella made a face. Catching what?
Matt rushed to help Clarisse in, then helped Raina and the other passengers in the back.
"We aren't safe yet." He muttered as the boat lurched. "Everyone hold on! There are ropes on the edges! Please tie yourselves in!" Matt rushed around the small boat, helping everyone get strapped in.
