Deadman Wonderland is an anime/manga where the titular prison is a sort of theme park, where non-criminal patrons can go on rides and eat food and play games and watch criminals fight each other to the death or play horrible sadistic games which they probably wouldn't survive. The criminals do this because if they win, they get "money" which they can use to buy medicine to combat the lethal poison they're given every day.

I haven't seen it in a few years, this might be slightly inaccurate.
