Very Interesting Shurelia. Another hymmnos language. Good jod Shurelia on finding that info. Also the battle system is very different from Ar Tonelico Melody Of Elemia. When fighting an enemy, there are two phases. An attack phase and A defense phase. When in the attack phase, the charatcers can only attack until the time gauge runs out as well when to choose which reyveteil to cast or to release it. In the defense phase, The enemy will have a chance to your reyveteil so you must protect her by timing your defenive moves properly. here is a list of attack you front line character can do: Vanguard Characters (Front line) These characters have four types of moves, three are attacks and the other is Cure. Each attack has a different effect and increases the Emotion Gauge by a different amount. If you succeed in filling the Emotion Gauge it will have other effects. The level of the Emotion Gauges can be increased only once per turn. Burstech (Burstec in JP) : Increases the Reyvateil's Burst gauge for Magic charging. Harmonic : Increases level of attack for front line characters and allows the use of Replakia. Psychological (Psyco in JP) : This helps your Reyvateils synchronize with each other. The Emotion Gauges will eventually merge together and allow the use of Synchronity and casting of Joint Song Magic (Lvl. E magic), both of which are extremely potent. Cure (Care in JP) : Quickly fills the emotion gauge while reducing MP consumption for songs. There are three levels of attacks for each type. Level one attacks will be present from the very beginning, while Level two attacks will be learned when a character advances to Level 15. Level three attacks will be obtained at Level 35, except in the case of Shun, who will obtain his at level 45. Level three attacks may only be used once per turn. Higher level attacks fill the Emotion Gauges by larger amounts. EX Attack : An ultimate attack, granted after Cloche learns Replakia. This powerful attack is available after filling up the Emotion gauge ten And the Reyveteils: Reyvateils can cast two types of magic: Red Magic: Reyvateils can do far more damage than front line characters by using Red song magic. This song magic is powerful and will damage all enemies on the field, but in exchange for this powerful attack they quickly consume their MP and must charge it to fill the Burst gauge. The more powerful the song is, the higher the MP consumption. Red song magic can "evolve" into more powerful magic if the Burst gauge reaches high enough. Blue Magic: Support magic, consumes a lot of MP but offers benefits such as healing the party. MP recharges by doing nothing in the Attack Phase.
