I followed the tut Misty. Here's what I did: lol, I'm obsessed with Baird. :p
I changed the tut a little cause I didn't like the outcome. I also fixed some mistakes.
I just use a DVD recorder and rip it to my compy.
You should try blending the render a bit. Play around with the blending options. ;)
Go to the blending options of that layer and and set it on lighten. And to gt the shine, it sometimes depends on what brushes you use.
You can delete it with the magic eraser. ;)

I couldn't decide which one was better, 1 or 3, but in the end I chose 3 because I like the effects. :)
You should've messed around with the setting to get a blend... Other than that, it's really good. :)
What part of the step is exactly troubling you?
Try duplicating the layer and put the duplicated one on overlay. :)
