L-Laughter? That was her response to his exasperated sigh, laughter? Well... that reaction was definitely... out of nowhere to say the least. Well, at least it became a little bit clearer who he was dealing with now. A bit on the, er, crazy, side. Not a care in the world as she just non-chalantly tells him to give up on catching that break. To be perfectly honest, he found that outburst to be a bit... cute. It made her seem less of a bitch and more just...care-free? Whatever, after getting to the car with the green-eyed girl and the gum-chewer, he climbed back in and buckled up.

No dice. Nothing came from asking her name. Johnny watched as she slipped her phone out of her pocket. "Time to go newbie, other one." He had no idea what was going on, but he had a feeling that there were more things coming after them. "We need to move quickly. Things tend to blow up on us..." Great. Just great. More things going horribly wrong, and this Crestatia demon thing was all to blame for this mess. Well... there is some blame to be placed on the one chasing us, but Crestatia was the one who started this. A long, exasperated sigh escaped his lips, "Give me a fucking break, man."

Johnny had listened to the explanation that the green-eyed girl offered him. Well, that answers pretty much most of what he needed to know. So the demoness that the driver had talked about summoning was the same one who sent the E-mail. The people that I have been forced to join have all lost people important to them. And on top of that, he was either a threat or a nuisance to someone called Devyn. Wonderful. But... playing for existence? That's the one thing he still needed to wrap his head around. The people he was joined up with are all playing for the chance at existence. So... does that mean he doesn't exist right now? Or was he just some random demoness's plaything. Gah, it hurts my brain. Johnny still needed some information on this game they were playing, but for now, he didn't deem it necessary to find out more. He was more interested in finding out about the people he was with. If he was going to be traveling with them, he should at least know something about each of them, maybe something like, their names. That was a good start. "Well... I guess if I'm going to be going with all of you guys... I should know your names. I mentioned my name earlier, it's Johnny. So what's yours?" He had no idea what expect as a response from this woman. Hopefully this question would tell him exactly what he was dealing with.

Though he was rather reluctant about it, Johnny trudged on after the Green-eyed girl, not wanting to upset her. No way did he want to do that. "What would you like to know first?" The question lingered in the air for a bit before Johnny could even formulate a response. What should he ask first? About the guy chasing after him? Or maybe he should ask about this supposed Demoness? Regardless, he needed to ask her something, so he opened his mouth, "We'll go here." Not even a sound came out of his mouth before she went off to wherever the hell she pointed on the map. Johnny wondered if she was even paying attention to him at all. Still, he tried to be patient about it and eventually forced a question out. "So, do you have any idea who exactly was chasing me down?" He wasn't sure if that was a good question or not, but he figured it was a starting point that would help him to understand a little bit of what was going on. One day he was just enjoying his day-to-day routine life, and the next Johnny's life spiraled into utter chaos, and all because of one stupid E-mail. Give me a fucking break, man.

"Welcome to Hell, Johnny-boy, population: twelve." Great, exactly what he didn't want to hear. At the very least, his friendly demeanor somewhat softened the blow for him. But what he needed right now was information, information he was sure these people had. "We'll explain when we get to safe ground." Perfect. He was still largely uninformed about everything that was happening except for what was in the E-mail, and even then, he wasn't too sure if he fully understood that. Dammit. Give me a fucking break. He tuned out a little bit after that, trying to piece things together so that he could try to explain himself if they asked him questions.

"Because we all know our lives are so cheerful." The temperamental girl from before. "Can someone give me a pair of scissors to cut out this chick's tongue?" It was clear from this guy's comment that she wasn't very well liked. Is she really that much of a bitch all the time? No way. He quickly dismissed the thought, but it was clear to him that he would definitely have to watch himself around her to not incur her wrath. He had hoped he wouldn't get paired up with her so he could ask questions about her specifically. "New guy, you're with me." Great, just my luck. "I have questions for you, and I suppose you'll probably have questions of your own." She was right on the money. "We'll take what's-her-face, too." She pointed at another girl in the car. This one was chewing some gum like nothing was going on. "There, I'll fill in the newbies while the rest of you do jack shit." Great, just great. I'm going to be stuck with her bubbly personality for a while. Johnny simply sighed with resignation. Somehow, I feel that this is only the tip of the Iceberg.

After fiddling with the radio for a while, the purple-haired driver finally said, "Now... If I may... I'd like to address two issues... First of all, who is this newcomer? Second of all, what now? Merely cower and run each time somebody appears? We need to do something now before the situation grows out of our control. If you want my opinion, I'd say we should think about summoning the demoness." Demoness? Johnny was still confused about everything that just went down. After a little bit of thinking, something the stranger uttered rang clearly in his head. "You got that E-mail, right?" That E-mail, so everything that is happening right now is because of that damn thing. So... These people were on that list in the E-mail then. Dammit... Why did things have to happen like this? Why did he have to get that damn thing? And more importantly, Why the hell did that stranger try to kill him? At any rate, he needed to address the driver's question. "Well... for your first question, my name is Jonathan Anders, but you can call me Johnny. I have no idea what the hell just happened, all I know is that I got an E-mail and because of that E-mail, I'm in this mess right now."

As he ran, Johnny decided to look back to see if anyone had caught wind of what was going on. To his relief, several police officers had been following after him and the strange man. However, behind the officers, he also saw a girl with blond hair running along behind them. Who the hell is that? He thought about it for a minute, but then he thought Screw it! Not important right now! He kept running.

    "FREEZE!! DROP YOUR WEAPON!!"

Oh thank god! I'm saved Both Johnny and the stranger had stopped in their tracks. The police would surely save him and get rid of the stranger, right? The police should be useful for something, right? The collapsing policeman followed by the ringing of a gunshot quickly dispelled those thoughts.

Screaming at the top of his lungs, he ran away, making a mad dash for an alley that he saw from the corner of his eye as he ran from the stranger. "Hey, wait! WAIT, dammit!" He heard the blond girl from earlier, though he wasn't tempted to stop because she might be with that stranger that chased him. After she said that, he heard an explosion. This brought him to a screeching halt as he watched the cop car fall into the middle of the intersection. "Holy shit..." Johnny whole-heartedly agreed with the girl's sentiment.

"What the hell did you do?" The girl looked straight at him. "I... I just..." Johnny couldn't stop himself from stammering, though with everything that just went down, he didn't really think about it. "Hey!" Another girl with brilliant green eyes came into the alley after the blond one, tossing bags at her. "Take your damn bags!" Already, he could tell this one had a fiercer attitude than the other girl. "What the hell did you do?" She echoed the blond girl's earlier question, and he answered with a similar, "I just... I..." Then another person came into the alley, this time a guy. "Hey! What the hell happened? Who's this?" After he said this, he reached for a gun that was attached to his pants. Oh god... what the fuck have I gotten myself into? As the guy handed the two girls handguns, another girl in heels showed up. She also brandished a handgun, though from the looks of it, she didn't exactly know how to hold one properly. Then, more people flooded into the alleyway.

Soon after all of the commotion, a van skidded into place in front of the gathered group of people. "Quick! Get in!" Wildly confused with everything that was going on, he quickly hopped into the van, thinking that anything was better than staying where he was right now.

  9. Bite the Dust
Johnny was walking down the street with his headphones on, music blaring, as he thought about that odd E-mail he had received. It just appeared in his Inbox out of the blue. He thought more about it, but he just decided to forget about it. He was sure that nothing could possibly happen to him just because of some stupid E-mail that was more likely than not just Spam. He continued down the street for his walk that he took almost everyday. These walks of his would let him think and reflect on what happened during the day and what he could do the next. In the midst of thinking, a stranger man appears in front of him, blocking his way. Johnny tries to just walk around him, but the man continues to get in his way. "Excuse me," He said as he pulled his headphones off his ears. All he wanted to do was taking his usual walk and think and then go home. That was all. But then, the stranger looks at him and says, "You got that E-mail, right?"

No way, his mind couldn't process what he had just heard. He tried to play it cool and quipped, "So what if I did?" The stranger, grinning after hearing the response, reached into his jacket and pulled a gun from inside. Johnny's eyes widened in terror. No way, he thought again. There's just no way that E-mail, could be real, could it? Everything seemed to be normal, he didn't want to believe that nonsensical E-mail, but in that moment, another thought raced into his mind. Run.

He ran as fast as his legs would allow him. Turning down streets he had never been to before, he rushed down each one in the hopes of losing this guy as he turned each corner. But it was no good, the guy kept up with him, the gun still in his hand. "What the hell do you want from me!?" Nothing. No answer from the stranger. Keep running, or you are going to die. He didn't want to believe it, but that was the situation he found himself in. As he ran past a hotel, he shouted at him, "Just leave me alone, dammit!"

Coda groggily looked around after the commotion that had started woke him up. He had been sleeping, sitting against the wall of a shop called Tailored Dreams. After a late night of exploring and level grinding, he had decided to rest there for just a couple of minutes. Those couple of minutes turned into several hours very quickly. He stood up and stretched, yawning as he did so. "Geez... What's all the commotion about?" After seeing a nearby building engulfed in flames, he calmly quipped, "Oh... that's really bad." After seeing that, he decided to head into the shop he was in front of to ask about what had just happened. As soon as he went into the shop, he was distracted by the number of wonderfully tailored clothes he saw. "Whoa..." After standing there, looking around in awe for a couple of minutes, he remembered why he went inside in the first place. "Oh yeah, does anyone know what just happened outside? I was asleep until a couple minutes ago, so I don't exactly know what's been going on. Was it serious?"

If it's not to late, I'd like to join this RP.

    Username: Bite the Dust
    In Game Name: Coda
    Real World Name: Shinji Yamazaki
    Age: 20
    Appearance: Click
Personality: A very calm and mellow individual, he almost never gets angry. The thing that does make him angry is when people do not give proper value to life. Even when he is angry, he seems to be calm and composed.
Bio: Shinji grew up with an avid interest in music, a trait he inherited from his violinist father. Knowing that this was something he wanted as a part of his life, he decided to take violin classes in school. Around the time Shinji was 16, he was involved in a car accident that killed almost all of the people involved, including his father. He was fortunate enough to survive, though at the cost of the use of his legs. After the accident, he decided to take up his father's violin in order to keep his memory close to him. As time went on, his inability to walk bothered him more and more. As a result, he became more interested in MMOs due to his ability to actually walk in those games. It wasn't the same as having functioning legs, but it was a start. When he heard about the NervGear and SAO, he jumped at the chance, thinking that he could escape to this world where he can actually walk every once in a while. When he found out about the death game, he had no idea whether to be scared or satisfied. He figured that he would live life to the fullest in the game and enjoy his newfound use of his virtual legs.
