O.O I LOVE THE FIRST ONE. Ohmigod DEPTH and LIGHT and COLOURS. Nice work! :D

The one thing that looks out of place though is that red line that looks smudged. It kinda kills the flow and you already have enough going on that it really doesn't need to be there. Other than that I LOVE this. :D

Those colours are really pretty. Good flow. I'd say work on depth and lighting. :)

They're zipped up in a RAR folder which you need to extract. Basically they're packed up really tight in a digi case so they're easier to lug around. WinRAR is a good program to use that will unpack these for you. :)

I actually agree with Misty on my colours. I started out following the original colours to some extent, but then I tried adding in colours that weren't even there to begin with.



That's what I had before my first applied image. XD

Misty- the small light source and back lighting really pulled this together for me. I love the overall vintage feel of it. First vote. :D

NRA- I love depth and simplicity of it. There could be a bit more variation in colour maybe, but that's just my tastes. (when it comes down to it we're all just subjective betches)


Valium- I really love the textural feel over it all. The colours aren't that bad either. The text itself has some direction, and it looks like there's movement to the whole thing which is a plus in my book. I just wish there was some more going on around it as it feels incomplete to me. Again that's just for me... Like I said before when it comes down to it we're all just subjective. :)

I find that smudging tutorials helped me very little when learning the actual techniques. It's all really subjective since there are so many styles of smudging. It's all just experimenting with brush shapes, sizes, brush strokes, et cetera.

It's an extremely versatile tool that you can use for so many things, and you can get so much out of. There really is no one way I can tell you to use it that'll always give you the best result.
