Well then, don't mind me for thinking you were trying to place the argument on your favor if you weren't.

When I said you generalized fangirls, I meant you generalized them in their way of thinking/ reasons for writing fanfictions on certain pairings. Not whether the majority of fanfiction come from girls. I said this, because (with the way you worded that part of the post) you seemed ignorant/unaware on the matter.

In your post, you specifically said for pairings such as "Demyx and Zexion" that they, as in the fangirls, should at least "back up" their interaction. Then in came the need to "inform you"/bring up the point that not all "fangirls" make fanfictions for the sake of having canonical elements, and that was all there was to it.

The reason why I commented on your original post was because from the the way you had worded it originally, you pretty much used "the yaoi" by means of it being a sort of obstacle to reach the het, (and its presence being wherever you stand). As if to obtain the "het goodies", you literally had to swim past some parts of yaoi, even with you noting it was an exaggeration. To me, it wasn't exactly plausible (especially with me small experience), and that the people who said to ignore it are right to say so.

But yes, continuing to head-butt on an issue of the like will obviously be futile, I just thought I should clear myself on the interpretation.

It isn't relevant because I was specifically talking about yaoi being avoidable, as in not forced to look into it. Despite yaoi being the larger number, you can still navigate through without having to force yourself to look into it.

I know you said it was an exaggeration, but my point was, I think even to complain that you have to "scroll" or still have to go through some amount of "yaoi fics" to find your "het" is downright, and utter bullsh!t - no matter how big the yaoi platter is. I've LOOKED for Sora/Kairi footage myself, I am some what speaking out of personal experience too, and I can honestly say there is a (fairly) distinctive seperation between the two categories. My argument is that yaoi is avoidable, and that I don't see how you would be complaining about stumbling upon it if you really were looking in the right places/right way. Yeah, the statement "Ignore It" is what I'm sporting.

It has nothing to do with going through "the hurdle of icky yaoi fics" just to come across your gemstones. Whether the het is a minority and the yaoi is a majority is irrelevant to my point. Fanfiction.net isn't the only place to find Sora/Kairi.
