I can't really say. I didn't "make" very many friends in school, I was always bullied, beat up and whatnot that I was pretty much convinced everyone hated me for one thing or another.

The friends I did make were the ones who came out of nowhere, chased the bullies off, and warned them they'd have their hides if they ever pulled those stunts again. They then got to know me for me, something bullies never bother to do, and we've been stuck together since.

My bestest friend was a boy I met when I first moved to my hometown in 2nd grade, and we bonded because we were so much alike. We had our birthdays one day, one hour and 26 minutes apart (yeah, we counted. We're awesome), and he was born three rooms down the hall from me. We met when we were seven. We're both 23 now. Now he lives on the other side of the state, but every so often we meet up in our old stomping grounds and of course reconnect through Facebook quite often.

My closest friend I consider my big brother since I met him in high school. He called himself "the demon", and thought what the bullies did was immature. Frankly, he was downright scary, and I stayed around him simply because he scared everyone else to death. No one knew what he was thinking, or if he would strike. I still had the same fear "AMG he's gonna kill me" until one day he said "If I was going to do that, I would have done it by now" and just grinned at me. I couldn't help but laugh, as sick as that was. He liked that someone else appreciated his sick sense of humor, and once again we stuck. Now it's become one of those "You mess with them, you're dead" kind of relationships.

The rest of my friends I met in high school and college, and that was through going to club meetings that sounded interesting as a freshman.

Rewatched this recently purely for the nostalgia. I was singing "Professional Pirate" and "Shiver My Timbers" all day yesterday.

And I will admit, Tim Curry's Long John Silver was my first pirate love before Captain Jack Sparrow came along.

    Astro Boy

It was cute. Not something I'd watch willingly on my own, but I was visiting my dad and when he's not watching ScyFy (or however they've spelled that channel now) he's flips through the movie channels and often stops on films like that one.

That same day we had also watched Robots and The Great Muppet Caper.

Hard to tell from the picture exactly what, but I'm leaning toward either dry elbows, flea bites, or even bed bugs.

Try some hydrocortisone (Cortisone-10, for example) for the itching. If your elbows are dry, get some moisturizing lotion. If that doesn't help after about a week or so, see a dermatologist.

Mom's dropped the bombshell that she wants to get one of these for me for Christmas this year (smooth, Mom).

But we're both stumped. Ideally I'd like one that is backwards compatible with my PS2 games (and the handful of PSone games I own), but is also able to play Blu-Ray. I'm also unsure how much hard drive space I should get, I'm a bit afraid of the high price.

I'm also having trouble picking games I'd like; I'm so used to Mario, Zelda, puzzle games, RPGs and so on.

I stuck this in the Spam Zone because I wasn't quite sure if this was a good enough fit for General Game chat.

    Any help will be, well...helpful.

    D.a.r.e.

I was actually going to mention this. Like any other foods, moderation is key. And certain red wines have been proven to be beneficial for heart health, and cancer prevention. My mother let me try wine coolers when I was 18, only in my own home and she made them so weak I couldn't even taste the wine. Rum and coke? Half a shot of rum drowned out by the Coke. She was showing me how to enjoy the flavor of the drink, not to get myself "buzzed".

Now I've been a legal boozer for two years, but I rarely drink. If and when I do, it's maybe a nice drink like a margarita or a mixed frozen drink once a month. Other times it's a wine cooler I make myself with a shot of wine mixed with a can of Sprite. That's it. People ask me what my limit is and I tell them "I don't know, and I really don't care to find out."

    D.a.r.e.

I did this when I was in fifth grade, and am now preparing to have it taught to my own fifth graders this year.

What I remember about it most was how they really drilled into you about how bad everything truly was for you. One cigarette? DEATH. A wine cooler? YOU DEAD. But those videos they showed about people with black lungs and livers so severely scarred fail to mention just how old the person was when they died due to complications that drinking or smoking contributed to, or might not have been the sole cause of.

Never mind that you can get lung cancer, emphysema, and the like from secondhand smoke, but they seem to leave that bit out, don't they?

I do like that they mention drugs like marijuana, cocaine, and others that truly can be harmful and dangerous even after the first use.

Bottom line (and this is my own personal opinion) is that I can't say how well this works. Maybe at a younger age, and I know I did too, we all went "I'm NEVER going to do any of those things! Yay life!". But as we get older (and thus reach ages where it is legal to buy cigarettes, possess a firearm, or have a beer) we realize we have choices, and D.A.R.E. can't stop people from making those choices. It can try to guide them into making the "right" choice, but ultimately if people decide to smoke 4 packs a day, it's their choice.

I guess the program only works if the kids who learn about the effects of drugs and alcohol don't give in to temptation and peer pressure later on down the line. But that in itself is hard to do.

I've found another character I want to cosplay someday.

    Django from One Piece.

I re-read the manga for the first time in a long time and found his overall character and design fun. I need to find some color pictures of him if I ever wanted to get a pattern down, but he'd still be fun to try. Plus, I'd get to walk backwards all con long.

As far as my current project, I finally finished his void cube this past weekend. I'll post a picture soon.

    20-sided dice are demonic?

    I have 15 of them, along with 2 30-sided dice, a 34-sided die, and a 100-sided die.

    I must be fucking Satan.
