I'm gonna shock this space back to life by announcing that I'm finally done with my N Harmonia cosplay! ....okay, mostly done, there's still a couple of minor things I need to still do but it's done nonetheless, and I have pictures because I signed up for a cosplay event for Anime Boston this year and the deadline was March 6. There was a PS1 game? I never knew this. I just discovered a free platformer game on iOS that lets you unlock episodes of the show. Great time killer. Kind of tricky at times. /ends nostalgia bomb on herself before she gets carried away...again.

I'm going to second what Janime6 said. Those little applets for stuff like iTunes, Skype, Steam, and all that might be helpful, but they don't need to start up very time you turn on your PC. They also can make your system lag on startup because all of them are trying to start up at once. I've turned off pretty much all of my services and my PC (also a Windows XP machine) boots up fine, if not faster than before. Also check and see if your system had a major update. Mine sometimes starts slower if it downloads 7+ updates, installs them, doesn't ask for a restart and I then shut it down when I'm done with it. The next day it's a bit slower.

Kuroshitsuji and Hetalia are both wildly popular, if your group does either one of those be prepared for tons of people asking for your picture. I'd love to see a NBC cosplay, I haven't seen anything like that before save for a Halloween Town Sora I spotted two years ago carrying a plushie Jack.
I love E.T. and Firework, the latter because it came out during a rather rough time in my life and I appreciated the pep talk out of nowhere from an otherwise complete stranger.
