Sometimes, I will admit, I get jealous! Lol often over little things, sometimes over the bigger things. But more often that not I find that it makes me want to push myself further so I can achieve whatever it is that is making me feel that way. Jealousy causes so much trouble and is at the base of many fights/arguments I know! Maybe this will sound odd, but do you think that jealousy and envy can ever be a good thing? If it pushes people to work harder can it be a positive motivation tool? What do you think? p.s please be nice to each other :D
In my life a lot of bad things have happened to me, and no that isn't just teenage girl over dramatic exageration :p but a friend asked me the other day whether I would change anything if it was possible to go back. I realised that although there have been things that have hurt me, if I went back in time and changed them I wouldn't be the person I am today, in some ways I think I'm stronger for the things that have done damage. My question is, if YOU could go back into YOUR past would you change anything? Would you do things different?
I decided to make this because it is 5:26 am and I am bored out my mind! *twitches* so anyway how this works is someone posts a word and then the next person has to post a word that comes to their mind when they read it. for example if I posted "blue" then the next person could put "water" for example and then the next"rain" and so on so forth. I have always been a tomboy kinda chick and I have always got along better with guys than girls and thought I was able to understand them quite well, until the other day when I found out my best mate (who is a dude) who has been my best mate for 6 years! Has had a crush on me for the past 4 and a half!! I mean how could I have not picked up on that?? Anyway it got me to thinking there is a lot which confuses the heck out of me about the male species in general, and it got me to wondering can either sex really ever understand each other?? I don't know anymore, lol I'm so confused right now :( everything i thought I knew has kinda been thrown up in the air!
Where do you stand with genetic engineering? On the one hand it can help to fight diseases such as cancer, but on the other it's already starting a sliding scale of "designer babies", so far there have been cases where babies have been born for the sole purpose of being doner (did I spell that wrong??) matches for ill siblings. In the future will this lead to picking eye colour, hair colour etc? Should human beings mess around with such things or should we leave it to evolution (or God depending on your personal beliefs)? Is it right to mess with the laws of nature? Or is it an inevitable part of our development? Discuss please! Is it possible to have lived before? Like when sometimes you meet people for the first time but you feel as though you already know them, that you've met them before. Or when you visit somewhere and instinctly know it? Sometimes children speak of memories from a time before they were born, a friend of mine used to tell her mom about a fire that that had hurt her when she was her other person (she was 3 when she sadi this). I'm not talking about reincarnation as such but the ideas of old souls reliving, new souls starting their journey. Do you think past lives area possibility? Any experiences as such? What do you think is the most difficult boss battle in any of the Final Fantasy games? I think it has to be Penance from FFX, that took me so many hours and I lost track of how many times I died lol, I actually cried when I beat it because it was such a relief :D
