0_0; *heart attack* So there I was fighting with my essay and listening to my music in the Uni Library, when I starts hearing this weird noise coming through my headphones, like you know the noise static makes? Or like when you are getting a text message come through on your phone and it makes that weird noise if it is near your computer? Well it sounded like a cross between that, so I looked around and no-one else was looking up (there were 5 of us in there spread out), so I just put it down to having Adema on full blast affecting my hearing, so I carried on writing away, when I heard it again, louder this time, so I thought hmm might be a good time to back up my work anyway, and **** me! I had just clicked save and saved my essay which has taken me like 4 days to ****ing write, ****ing 5000 words on ****ing geographical information systems, when my computer blew 0_0; Like blue sparks and horrible spazzy electric noise blew 0_0; whilst I was still attached to it via my head phones 0_0; I thought I was going to die it scared me that bad >.< Anywayz, that was your little insight into my world for tonight :P *goes back to finishing essay* (On a diff comp obviously) Oh and the library tech just said to me, "Yeah we thought that one was going to go last night but it didn't" and he laughed, like it was funny that I could have lost my work and myself -_-; lalalaaaaaaaa~ that is all =]

I have a few suggestions for the Family subforum, before I start though, I would like to ask that unless you are in a forum family, (or staff) please do not post here as the suggestions and outcomes wouldn't have a direct effect on you anyway. It is the forum family members I really want a response from. Firstly; I would like to suggest that members are restricted to making only one family. Some members are the creators of several, which clutters up the zone for one thing, for another it means there are several dozen small rarely active families. Admittedly this was mainly there when Swordser was active, however there is nothing to prevent a repeat. Secondly; and this is the main suggestion I have, please can we have a stickied thread for the heads of families to discuss problems. I ask this because recently there are a few misunderstandings with family members going from one family to another saying things. This mess could have been avoided if there was more communication between the different families. I also think that more communication between the families would be benficial anyway, especially as some problem members are in several families. Thirdly; for the Love of god, put a damn mod in there! Families are dealing with issues internally, some even have their own councils (Kadaj family I believe) or their own versions of warnings (Family Random has a strikes system), but sometimes we need the help of the staff to sort out some problems, xD we do a good job at handling problems internally, but there is only so much that the families can do. I have others, but I think 3 is enough for now :3 Thoughts, comments?
I have been thinking about this a lot lately, but I wonder, is cosmetic surgery something that should only be for when you seriously need it? I.E burns victims etc etc. Is it wrong forsuperficial reasons, say for example, someone who really hates their appearance, should they go through with it? Does psychological suffering count as an acceptable reason to have it done? Or should it always only be for purely medical reasons? I always used to think that having it done for superficial reasons was shallow, but now I am not so sure. Comments? Thoughts? What's your opinion?
...and it is only like half 9 in the morning. Firstly I woke up like 10 minutes before I had to leave my house (luckily I am an exoert in getting ready in a rush :P), ironcially it is the first time I have slept more than an hour in about 2 weeks -__- The ticket office at the train station ran out of change just as I got to the counter (I only had a £10) so I had to use my card, which meant I missed my train :P I got the next train, which was FULL of pre-teens going to school, most of them to the posh schools too, there is nothing more annoying than a brat with a superiority complax :P Even worse, a kid in a feckin Barney t-shirt insulted me because I am wearing a Bullet for my Valentine top o_O Hmm Bullets Vs Barney the feckin dinosaur :P So I finally got to uni (after diverting to get Kerrang <3 which had sold out where I normally buy it so I had to make a detour >.<) and feeling all smug I sat down to print off my assignment, which is due in tomorrow xD I was overjoyed to see it is actually due in next week xDDD :woohoo: Except that the assignment that I thought was due in next week is actually due in tomorrow :dead: 0_0 and I got an email from Amazon telling me that my order is delayed by like a month due to availability -__- I wont NEED the fecking books as much by next month. I have recently come across Antony and the Johnsons <_> these are SOOOOOOOOOO not my type of music at all, but for some reason I really like them, especially a song called The Lake The Lake (be warned the vid is weird 0_0) Like I said, soooooooo completely different to the music I normally listen to, but I find myself listening more and more, especially when I am feeling a little down ._. So I am going to assume no-one knows them :P But hey, no harm in sharing xD
~When someone does you a big favor, don't pay it back... Pay It Forward~ xD a beautiful film (there is no other word I could use to describe it) with an extraordinary idea behind it. Haley Joel Osment (thought that might get some people's attention) plays Trevor McKinney a young boy who comes up with an idea to change the world for good. Spoilers By coming up with the idea of doing good deeds, the person who is affected by the good deal must then in turn do a good deed for 3 other people, and so on, creating almost like a pyramid of people helping other people /spoilers The ending made me cry **** loads (Bloody hell, despite what my posts sound like I don't cry at everything 0_0), the ideas within and behind the film make it well worth watching. Have you seen it? What did you think? p.s I couldn't find a thread already about it xD but then 2/3 of the words in the title are under 4 letters long and the search wont let me use them x_x

I have a small *cough* obsession with this game in FFX, (it fails hard in FFX2) I find it to be damn addictive and have spent many, many hours building up my team stats and abilities xD Do you like it too? Or do you only play for the neccessity? i.e to gain the sigil and weapon. Proudest achievement? Mine was when I finally beat the Al Bhed Psyches :P They are the only team I have ever had difficulty with -__- p.s Auroch's Spirit is one hell of a damn good abaility. After reading some threads in here, I had a question in my mind, if there ever was a way for you to become immortal (I am not suggesting that there currently is) would you take it? Would you want and choose everlasting life? On the one hand, it would be great to be able to do everything I want to accomplish, but to see everyone I loved growing older and seeing them die whilst I would be left to carry on. Is the price worth it? I myself wouldn't choose it. You?
Scientifically we are told that the further away something is, the further back in time we are seeing, when we see the stars, some of those that we see no longer exist. Dead and dust many centuries ago, but because of the speed of light over distance, we are still seeing them as though their presence is still in existence. Even our own sun, if the sun was to "die" then we wouldn't know for at least 8 minutes. I remember being told in a lecture once, that if you moved away from the Earth at a fast enough speed you would be able to pick up radio transmissions from the 1950's. If we can hear back in time and even hypothetically see back in time, then is it possible that maybe time travel is actually possible to some extent?
Couldn't find it on here anywhere, so if it is, then my appologies xD Has anyone else seen this film? I saw it a couple of years ago now, but I still remember it clearly. It is such an inspiring film, sweet and very sad in places (>_> I cried *coughs*) but it also full of hope and the dream of second chances. Roughly based on a real person, but different enough to not just be another biography. I am not a massive Robin Williams fan but he portrayed the role perfectly in this film.
