Anyone else on here read stuff by him? He's does all kind of things- comics, novels, short stories, tv and movie scripts, he's all over the place. My personal faves are American Gods, Stardust, Fragile Things, and The Sandman Graphic Novels. EDIT: Fail, I only went and spelt his name wrong. Its 'Gaiman'. Some fan I am...
I love this series, along with how Handler Snicket can be writing about completely serious and quite dark events yet still put in hilarious little quips, or how he might get to a really suspenceful moment and then break off to discuss the meaning of a word and how to use it or something equally ridiculous.
I met Cornelia Funke when the book came out and got a signed copy. She even drew a picture of a pirate on one of the back pages, just for me. Yeah, you're all jealous now!
I think this may be the only game ever to win game of the year before it is actually released.
Heh, I can't wait to play this, although I am surprised at how quickly they've been able to produce- it isn't that long since Brotherhood came out. I only wish Square had the same work ethic...
My list: Toy Story (first one) Monsters Inc Pocahontus Finding Nemo Fox and the Hound The Rescuers (OMG those films were incredible :D) Robin Hood A Bugs Life And please, PLEASE, no more Winne the Pooh or Little Mermaid.
Hello KHV, I have returned from an extended and unplanned hiatus, ready to mingle with all the people who never remembered me :P I did post this in the Spam Zone, but apparently I was meant to post it here. Meh.
Hey :3 Guess who has returned to KHV?
Name all characters Brahne.
:/ But hey, thats what happens when you make the silly mistake of thinking petty things like 'revision' and 'uni' are more important than a message board. How have you been, KHV? Still up to your eyeballs in drama?
Eh? How can you be very fine and horrible at the same time? Well I hope you feel better soon.
Its going very well for me, thanks. Haven't been on the site for a while... How are you?
Ok, so I guess I overgeneralised in that respect. I know that not all people who like Twilight are crazy. But when almost every female at your school is (And I am not blowing things out of proportion here: EVERY GIRL at my school is like this, save for perhaps one or two), its gets very nerve-grating. Even more so now that one of the local stores I used to frequent was a really good seller of teenage clothing outside of the 'mainstream' so to speak. Ever since Twilight, it has been taken over by some new guy and transformed into an Edwardfest. They don't even sell guys clothing anymore...
I can't stand Twilight for several reasons: 1. TEENAGE ANGSTY ROMANCE. Any aspiring authors, listen up: Its been done a million times before, and in this instance I didn't think it was done very well. I mean, lets think about what would happen in real life. Girl meets guy, they start going out. Guy leaves town, possibly forever, for no logical reason, and doesn't tell her until the last second. Natrually she is not happy. Any normal person would extremely angry with the guy and want nothing to do with him. But when they finally meet again, there is no fight, no lovers spat, simply a 'I lurve you, I'm going to forget how much of an ******* you were!'. 2. MARY SUES AND GARY STUS. Classic trademark of bad fiction. Simply put: the protaganists are perfect in every goddamn way, save from a token character 'flaw'. Bella's is being clumsy, and even that goes when she get vampirised and becomes as graceful as anything. Edward's is 'overprotectiveness', and thats technically both a good and a bad trait to have. REAL PEOPLE ARE NOT PERFECT. 3. THE DEATH OF THE VAMPIRE GENRE. Lets face it guys; vampires have always been a classic monster. They belong in horror movies. The thing that makes them scary is that they can be human-looking, and occasionaly can use sexual appeal to lure in their victims. Or at the other end, you can more grotesque beings like Nosferatu. Vampires should be antiheroes at best. I suppose a 'good' vampire is a nice idea, but when I read Twilight I was expecting it to be dark, maybe gory, with the Cullens occasionly succubing to the nature of their dark gift. And WTF kind of vampire sparkles? These are blood sucking fiends of eternal darkness, not happy-clappy-pink-unicorn-pixies vampires! Whatever happened to classic vampire stories, both in books and film? Meyer can't hold a candle to the likes of Stoker or even the more recent Anne Rice. 4. THE FANS. This is what really pisses me off. Despite the above flaws, everyone is treating Twilight like Jesus and Buddha have given it their seal of approval. I can barely walk around my school without hearing 'OH-EM-GEE EDWAIRD IZ SO HOT'. Seriously ladies, get a life. Get a boyfriend. A real boyfriend. /rage BRB, going to slaughter some people as a vamp in Oblivion.
An honour? Wow, thanks. You new to the site?
Well hi there.
Not according to the list of groups you are in. For Snow...um, they like orphans.
Enjoys both yaoi, yuri and regular hentai.
I did one of these in someones house...only it was pirate themed. Heck yeah.
