I can't read Japanese, so I will have to say I am passing up the novels, regretfully. Like a poster above me, my reading of the KH manga/novels died when they lost the rights to KH 2. I am all over that soundtrack though. Like flies on poo. Pre-ordered and everything from Amazon Japan. =]
Still beast. More so in HD. I am going to hold off buying a 3DS until this game comes out. I will buy them at the same time. =]
Oh, no worries man. Will do. It could just as easily be a comparison of game mechanics as a description of the battle system, among other things. Time will tell.
Good info. However, I do not like the prospect of returning to the battle system used in CoM, even if just for one character. I hope it was just a comparison. I much prefer the battle systems of BBS, Days, KH and KH II. Thanks for the update, Mike. As always.
^This. And a remake or sequel to the Legend of Dragoon on current gen systems.
Questions are good. However, only when they are relevant. A side story that grants an epiphany regarding other games in the series is a good thing. Making filler material to address events that do not hold much significance are unnecessary. I have played every KH game to date. And I have something positive to say about all of them. However, KH3 doesn't even have to be a conclusion to the series. It could merely conclude the Sora/Xehanort arc. Who is to say that SE couldn't make more KH games, set in different worlds, with new protagonists/antagonists and keep certain staples constant such as the wielding of keyblades, light, darkness, etc? Kingdom Hearts III doesn't have to signify the end. It all comes down to relevancy.
It's not so much that I want a PS3 conclusion to the series. I have enjoyed all the hendheld releases thus far. It has to do with over-complicating the story to unneccessary extents. Think about it. Birth By Sleep Volme 2? What could they possibly have content wise that requires them to make a sequel to BBS? Don't misunderstand. There very well may be a few details or occurences that are important to know within the time frame after BBS and before KH1. But likely not enough that it would require a whole game to reveal it. And looking at the past, I just doubt a KH game can be made that will show just simply that. It will likely introduce a myriad of new questions and as such, I can see them making other games to answer them. Why not simply just include this info in the next game's secret ending? That is where my issue is. Keep the quality material as the main story boards and game plot, and keep the background info in cutscenes, secret endings, and collected in-game reports. I don't care if I have a game concerning why Ven holds his keyblade backhand, or why Aqua wears such dangerous, pointy shoes. Good day.
Dear Square Enix, I love this series to death, but I hope that you aren't literally making a "Birth By Sleep Volume 2," in the same way you are making a "Final Fantasy XIII-2" and that the title in mention is in fact Dream Drop Distance. It has taken you years and years to draw out the story and make it as complex as it is today, and I felt like with the passing of Re:Coded and the recent info obtained in regards to KH DDD, KH III, as well as a unified story and the elimination of all questions and plot holes in the Xehanort story arc were in sight. It felt good. Please oh please, Square. Don't add another title to the series and spawn a dozen more holes/questions that you will have to create an equal amount of games to explain. I don't want to be the oldest one in the store when KH III is finally released. Thanks. Sincerely, Ghost
Holy $#@%. Scaling and jumping walls and buildings, using the environment in combat to aid in the destruction of foes(Sora swinging on a lamp post), and a new world? I can't wait. This game looks incredible. But for now, I am getting back to Re:Coded. =]
I want a copy just to have it. But I played the hell out of the NA release. I will just youtube any extra fights or scenes.
I picked up mine as soon as Gamestop opened. I was waiting outside. xD I am also a little peeved there appears to be no guide to go with it. I hope they release one soon, but I am not holding my breath. So far, this game breeds intense nastalgia by how much it resembles the first game. I can picture it just as clearly as I could when I was 11. I have only played a couple hours, but still have about a week before school starts again. I hope to get a decent amount of playtime in. So far not bad though. Definately worth buying.
So many treats today! Those graphics on a handheld whilst outside a cutscene? Unheard of! This gets more and more awesome.
So pumped! I saw a commercial on TV earlier for the game. Just 2 more days~ Sadly, I will have to wait till later to read the review, as I am on break from work and must return shortly. As always, great work guys.
I am looking forward to Re:Coded, but this title really has my interest. I really hope it makes use of the 3DS's new tech and is really something new and exciting. I feel a great anticipation for this, similar, perhaps even greater, than the one I had for BBS. Thanks for the update Mike. Keep us posted. =]
I will buy a copy to keep as a collector's item, but I likely won't play it. I played the NA release inside and out. I will likely just youtube the extra scenes and fights. Cool trailer though. =]
So excited! =D
I just pre-ordered it yesterday. And unlike when BBS came out, I will will still be on vacation for a little more than a week when this comes out. I am gonna use that time to tuck as much of this away as I can. Thanks for the update, Mike. =]
I actually purchased one off Think Geek over a year ago. They said it ran small so to order a size up. I normally wear a size small, so I got a medium. It gets to my house and it is HUGE on me. It made me kinda sad. On top of that, the zipper is made of plastic, which I personally hate because it warps in the drier. The hoodie does look nice itself though. Sadly, I wasn't well versed in customer service calls or returning online purchases at the time so I never got another.
