Soon after Elaine and Zen started walking Elaine slowed and whispered to Zen "We're being watched" she said. She nodded toward the bushes behind them. Zen walked around he other side of the bushes and vanished. Elaine then heard commotiion from behind there and ran to help.
Zen wondered what happened to that guy all through Math class, and finally it was over. Zen walked out of school and Elaine caught up with him. "Hey Zen" she said. "wanna walk me home" she asked. "sure" Zen said. "See you tomorrow Angel" sen said to Angel as he and Elaine started walking
"Open your books to page....." after that Zen just zoned out. He looked out the window and he saw some guy running across the parking lot being chased be half a dozen more people. The guy ran into the forest and the others still chased him.
"Hey, it looks like we're in the same class too" said Zen and he walked to Math, his final class of the day.
Soon the bell rang for next class. Zen checked his schedule. He had Math next. Elaine had buisiness marketing next. "What class do you have next" Zen asked Angel
"yeah they do" said Zen. Zen ate his lunch, thinking of escape routes and the usual
"Um,"Zen said, trying to not let slip too much around Elaine. "The teachers here seem, uh, not right" Zen said, hoping Angel caught his drift

Zen was happy that his two friends were getting along. But out of the corner of his sharp, hawklike eye, he saw a teacher full a gun like thing out of her purse and show it to another teacher. The other teacher pushed the gun like thing back into her purse and they both walked away. Zen knew now that there was more to this school than meets the eye. His eyes darkened and he frowned
"Hi" Elaine said to Angel. "I'm Elaine, what's your name?" she asked
The teacher explained the directions and Elaine helped Zen. "okay class, time to present." Zen and Elaine precented their skit to the class and soon the rest of their class went. Then the bell rang for real lunch. Zen and Elaine walked out of their class, still talking and acquainting. They sat down at a table
"Thanks" Zen said with a smile. "by the may, by name's Elaine" said the girl. "My name's Zen" said Zen. "cute name" the girl said, still smiling. Then the teacher, Mrs Bensent said "alright class, quiet down. We will be having group short plays today, so get with a partner." Elaine said to Zen "hey Zen, want to be my partner" "sure," Zen said, But i don't know what to do, i've never been in this type of class before"

Zen headed to Drama class, it seemed interesting. He got there a few minutes early. He sat down at one of the seats near the window(for precautionary escape purposes) and started looking around. He must have looked stupid as he did that, because a blonde girl giggled and said to Zen, "i guess you must be new here." "Yeah" Zen said, i just got here yesterday." "Well welcome to Drama class" the girl said.
"Because I am one of the people Jeb Balchelder sent to protect you. But be warned, that guy who's mind Angel just tampered with is one of the School's minions. He started with mind warfare on Zen and then he tested his strength and anger by bullying him. There are more of thise people here so be careful." The bell rang for the next class and the teacher opened the door." you'd better get to your next class now, and remeber no mutant stuff."
When the 3 of them got to the room. The coach closed and locked the door. Then he turned to Zen and Angel with an angry look on his face. "What the hell do you think you two are doing. If you want to fit in here the you have to stop with the whole super strength, mind control, avian kid stunts. I convinced the other teachers that know to give you another chance, biut you two have got to try and blend in."
"Awesome" Zen said quietly. Then the gym coach came over and said "i need you two cto come with me. NOW"
Zen looked around to make sure no one was listening. "Like a recombinant DNA life form, like me." Zen let a bit of one of his black wings appear a little. " I was one normal, then some things happened. Are you like me, and if not, can i trust you with my secret?"
Zen now knew. He grabbed Angel's hand and helped pull himself up and said "what was that. Are you ... could you be... just like me" Zen said quietly
Before Zen could answer, thhe coach blew the whistle. Basketball time. Someonne passed the ball to Zen but before he could to anything the guy from Ms Weekers class knocked him to the ground. "Sucker" he sneered.
