For Goofy: http://www.khwiki.com/Ultimate_Mushroom For Donald: http://www.khwiki.com/Premium_Mushroom In all, there are 5 "Mushroom" weapons for both Donald and Goofy. The only really nice ones are those gained from S ranking (Or lucky A ranking). Goofy's matches Save the King's strength and grants him 40% damage reduction in battle, and Donald's has higher magic than Save the Queen and grants a 75% boost to the MP regeneration rate.
Hello all. I have met the journal requirements for the entirety of Mushroom XIII. However, I am after the best Mushroom weapons. As you may or may not be aware, this requires a lot of luck at A rank completion, or an S rank for guaranteed drop. I got Donald's best staff. Now, the shield for Goofy is what I am after. General internet consensus is that Mushroom II in Halloween Town is the easiest one to get an S rank on. I have been using a combination of Stitch and Reflect. However, I just cannot seem to get my score to 99. Even when I reflect every single shot, I always seem to end at 98. Is there something I am doing wrong? Perhaps there is an easier Mushroom member to get Goofy's best shield from? Anyone have experience with this? Any tips would be appreciated. Also, is it possible to get a score of 99 if you fail to reflect even one of the projectiles? I have gotten to the point now that if I am struck even once I leave the area and try again, as my highest scores are those in which I am not hit even once. However, if I can be hit once or twice I don't want to discard a potentially fruitful attempt. Note: I have noticed that on some occasions, if my timing is slightly off when I cast reflect the projectile doesn't hit Sora, but it doesn't bounce back to the Mushroom either. It just sort of vanishes. Perhaps this phenomena is what is holding me back from 99. I don't want to make it sound like I get 98 every time. Usually this happens a couple times each attempt I make, and my average score is 90-95. I have reflected what appears to be every projectile about 4-5 times now, resulting in a score of 98. That being said, would I be better off just equipping Sora with as many luck boosting accessories as possible and hope that eventually it will drop the weapon one of the times I achieve A rank? I think the base rate it 10% or something. Would it be more likely with the Lucky Lucky ability equipped and 3-4 luck rings? (For those that are curious, I have been doing this long enough without success that I have obtained 99 of every tranquil item in my inventory. I am getting very impatient., as you may understand)
Hmm. This merits a new game just to relive it. Thank you good citizen.
Hello all. I remember hearing "Sanctuary" by Utada Hikaru during the opening cinematic of KH2 as a kid, and I loved it. Perhaps even more so than "Simple and Clean." I am just now starting the World That Never Was, and it occurred to me that I do not remember hearing Sanctuary when I began the game. Sure, a simple selection of New Game at the title screen and a reset could solve this for me, but I ask you lot instead. I know that some legal matters occurred between Square and Utada some time ago, the details of which I do not know. so I thought perhaps Square lost the rights to the song or something. So, was Sanctuary included in II.5 HD and my memory is just garbage, or wasn't it?
When I was younger (Like 12-14) and first got into KH, I would always play on the standard difficulty. Now that I am in my mid 20's and I am revisiting the series through the releases of the HD collections, I have been playing on proud mode. It allows me access to all trophies save for those which require critical difficulty. However, it isn't really even a trophy related issue for me. I choose proud for the simple reason that I could complete the games as a child with unskilled button mashing on standard. As an adult, I should be able to not only up the difficulty of the game itself, but I should also be able to better grasp the battle mechanics and specific enemy battle patterns than I ever could ten to twelve years ago. Simple as that. So far, I enjoy the challenge proud mode has given me. I have never yet played on critical in any KH title. Probably never will. Just based on my experience with proud, anything more difficult would likely *just* surpass the threshold of challenging and instead become tedious and frustrating. Those that complete critical runs at level one have my utmost praise and respect. However, this is again something far too intensive for what I want out of the game. Until Square decides that certain story related material shall only be unlockable in critical, or somehow, in level 1 critical runs, proud is likely where my playthroughs will stay.
I just was coming back here to proclaim my foolishness. I was indeed not letting go of the L1 button once I initiated a command. Not a hard form to level after all. Thank you very much!
I just concluded the second trip to Twilight Town and the first one into Space Paranoids, thus granting me access to both Limit and Master form. This is the first time I have played KH II FM (First time ever having access to Limit Form). Not wanting to wait until the endgame to max all my forms from level 1-max, I have been trying to level all forms up as the level cap is raised. However, Limit Form is giving me trouble for reasons I don't quite understand. I have googled the matter, and it appears to level the form one must use one of the limits from the shortcut bar. Then, when prompted to continue the combo with the triangle button, do so to earn 1 exp. Trouble is, I always see the triangle prompt pop up, but it is always grayed out and non-selectable for some reason. Not being able to finish the combo means no experience for me. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I have leveled both Valor and Wisdom to level 6 in Agrahbah, returning to the peddler's shop when I need to use the world map to preserve the drive gauge. I am about level 33. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Another year, another story. Hope for some exciting KH related experience this year.
So, I am a little crazy, but I have been checking Google, Amazon, Gamestop's website, etc pretty much daily for the past couple months, searching for even the faintest clue that there will be a hardcover edition game guide for KH 2.5, much in the same style as Prima did this guide for the 1.5 collection: http://www.amazon.com/Kingdom-Heart...-1&keywords=kingdom+hearts+1.5+strategy+guide Mind you, the above guide wasn't without flaws, but I greatly enjoyed having it as a resource for the past HD collection. If my memory serves, I pre-ordered the above guide at least a couple months before the game released. Now, we have roughly 2 weeks until 2.5 releases and I cannot find any indication that a guide covering 2.5 is going to be released. In my depravity, I even contacted Prima Games via email regarding any possible guide in the works. I got about what i expected as a response: "Thank you for reaching out! We’re very happy that you’ve come to us to get the most out of your game. While we’d love to be able to publish official strategy content for every major release, we do not have information on this title at this time. Stay tuned, we hope to have more information in the coming months. Thank you!" This was on October 21st. I remember that guide book for the first HD collection was delayed over a month past its initial scheduled release date. Perhaps there were some issues in releasing the first guide that I am not aware of that are affecting the release of the sequel guide? Does anyone have any ideas or insight that I lack? I prefer to get as close to 100% completion in a single run through of a game as I can, and guides are usually pivotal in my doing so.
The characters and environments look so crisp and clear. Awesome. I am really looking forward to reliving these games as I did those in the 1.5 HD collection. After these, I am going to try to estimate about the halfway point between this and KH III to replay Dream Drop Distance. Then I will be ready. Keep the good stuff coming.
Cool beans. I have bought a couple KH ultimania in the past. Wish I could read Japanese. If I could, I would get way more out of them. But all the art inside can be appreciated despite a language barrier. :)
Will this be a pre-order bonus through all retailers, or will it only be through the Square Enix store? Square has done such things in the past. For example, while individual retailers could have their own pre-order incentives, the pre-order bonuses that came through the Square Enix store for both FFX/X-2 HD and Lighting Returns were exclusive to Square's online store (And quite honestly the best bonuses).
I too am fond of the PS4 design. If the content they have shown in the KH III trailers so far is even a fraction of what to expect, I think we have a lot to look forward to.
Yes, I agree. Handicapping yourself will indeed make any boss battle more difficult. That is correct. To tell you the truth, I wasn't level 100 because I leveled that much in prep for the Xemnas battle. I was level 100 because I already had equipped 3/4 of the experience boosting items in the game and naturally came to be that strong through farming for all the items needed to synth all items in the game, and going through the coliseum cups in all modes, etc. I did all that before facing any of the superbosses. Very true. I did not mean to imply that if you found him to very challenging that anyone is less of a player in any way. For as simple as I found Xemnas in KHFM, the Mysterious Figure in BBS gave me massive difficulty. Everyone plays differently. Everyone prepares differently. If you want to be at level 1 with experience zero on proud, go for it. If you want to be level 100 with max spells, Ultima Weapon and megalixirs, great. So long as how you play is how you best enjoy them game. All I intended was to share with the OP how I found it best to defeat Xemnas. No harm intended.
He really wasn't that tough. Albeit I was level 100 and had my item slots full of elixirs/megalixirs, I just cast Aeroga and pummeled him with combos and healed when necessary until he was defeated. And this was on proud mode. By far the most annoying attack in his arsenal is the shock attack in which you must properly time and click a command cue to be released before it KO's you. That aside, just combo, heal, repeat.
Happy new year, all. May 2014 bring many KH-filled announcements and memories.
Glad for consistent news on development. however, I do not think as many fans were "kept at peace" with the spin offs as they think.
That is some awesome stuff! Already saving for a PS4.
This sounds awesome! I can't wait to hear more details. Completing two different sets of objectives, one as Sora/Donald/Goofy and the other as Riku/Mickey sounds great! Now the painstaking wait until its release begins... Oh well. This gives me time to save for a PS4 I suppose. At first I was a little weirded out that it is also going to be released on Xbox One, but I am not an exclusivity snob. I am happy that Xbox gamers will get a chance to bask in the greatness of this series. Assuming they can pull themselves away from Halo and CoD long enough to do so. ;)
I am super pumped. Even just the little bit they revealed looks fantastic. I guess I will start saving a little bit every week towards a PS4 now. And I will do so damn happily.
