For those who watched the TV series, "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", a wonderful and loving member of that series has passed on December 31, 2013. James Avery, the man who played as Uncle Phil, died due to complications on his open-heart surgery. It saddens me deeply that a great man like James has passed. He played an amazing role as a father and uncle of that show. He holds a special place in my heart. Rest in peace. You shall be missed dearly. http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/01/showbiz/celebrity-news-gossip/james-avery-obit/
Elanor Parker, most well known for her main part in "The Sound of Music," has died today from pneumonia at the age of 91. An amazing actress. Her role in "The Sound of Music" as well as other works was superb. I really enjoyed her roles in those movies and TV shows. Bless her soul and may she rest in peace. http://www.washingtonpost.com/enter...a3fc34-c5db-11df-94e1-c5afa35a9e59_story.html
Besides 3 Dog's talk earlier this year about a possible sequel, another possible rumor of Fallout 4 is up in the air. On November 14, 2013, Reddit users discovered this site called thesurvivor.com. The site is completely black with a countdown timer to Dec. 11, 2013 with a constant sound of morse code in the background. As of today on Dec. 1, 2013, a message has been added in code and after that, "Nuclear Winter has come." At the bottom, there is also the symbol (forgot what it meant) that shows up in the Fallout games. I don't know any other game talking about a nuclear winter other than Fallout. http://thesurvivor2299.com/ This could've came by as a hoax or a joke, but Bethesda actually refused to comment whether this site was true or not. With all the messages and morse codes all deciphered, they show strong signs of upcoming info on a possible Fallout sequel.
The very popular manga (and anime) Kaichou wa Maid-sama! ended the manga series on Oct. 16, 2013. I am happy to say that this is one of, if not, the best Shojo anime/manga I have seen/read within my lifetime. I really hope they can made an anime adaptation to the second half of the manga as the first 26 episodes really got me into this manga. The ending was a great way to end the series (also sad. I wanted more T^T)
When a developer makes a game, they're expected to get an amount of bad thrown in with good (or more bad if the games just sucks). However, it seems that one particular game studio just cannot take criticism to any sort of level and decides to give a copyright strike to TB. The video just explains just how bad the developer of Day One: Garry is by just playing dirty just to sell off his game and obtain "positive" reviews. Since the gameplay of the game was taken down from Youtube, you can watch it here on DailyMotion Any normal person would just take a look at this game and criticize the game. For me, I'm just speechless on just how bad this game is. The developer should be ashamed to even think about handing out the damn strike to TB. If you people can, please stay away from this game and other games this developer publishes. An unhonest developer should NOT deserve any sort of praise no matter how bad or good their game is.
Growing up as a kid, I was in an era where many FPS games were set in World War 2. The big two titles involved in this era were Call of Duty and Medal of Honor. My first game on the PS2 was Medal of Honor: Frontline and I was thoroughly immersed in the game. That game was followed up by Call of Duty 3. In this day and age, CoD and MoH have left behind the WWII shell and are now involved within modern day shooters. I'm not saying modern shooters are bad, but I believe what they were back then really brought them to where they are now and really left a place in the heart of gamers within that era. The combat was far more punishing in that era with no health regen and plenty of enemies around every corner. The music was superb with such deep emotional music to the jerky and upbeat songs in those large firefights. Even today, I still get chills every time I take a listen to the MoH:F main theme song. I really wish we can still have these WWII shooters come back to us. For EA, it was a generous gift on the PS3 when they bundled the HD remaster of MoH:F with their modern shooter MoH. Even CoD: BO (I think?) also had the copy of the first Call of Duty for hardened and prestige edition buyers. With the technology today, I hope we can bring the WWII era of shooters back into the light. I wish not all shooters have to take place in modern times or the future. It really makes some of us wish we could be shooting Nazis instead of fighting terrorists or Russians in every damn modern shooter. In short, I hope to see more shooters go back into the WW2 era or even other historical eras (and hope they don't CoD-ify those games). Prove to us that every FPS isn't all the same and can bring a satisfying Singleplayer experience to us.
Today (or last week for dem premium peeps) marks the final episode of The World God only Knows. It has been one of my favorite animes and the best Harem anime I have watched in my whole life. I seriously cannot wait for another season or OVA (assuming one comes out) as it does end in a fashion where another mark in this anime is possible to tie up the last few loose ends. But man! Now I have no reason to like Mondays anymore D:
When people mention the MOBA community (specifically LoL), people usually see them as a toxic and immature group of people. I won't lie, the community is pretty bad and horrible ingeneral with people throwing insults at each other for ever little mistake made. However, one man decided to use this community and had a high expectation for them to do something good. Known as SivHD, he's one of my most respected Youtubers. Last Saturday, he had a high expectation of making $50000 for charity. All day, he played LoL and asked people for donations. 10 hours in, he reached that goal and Siv decided to raise the goal to $75000 and even all the way up to $100000. It amazes me how he can band together this "toxic" community and together work towards a goal even he had doubts on. It just makes me so proud of him to achieve this feat as well as other Youtubers who also hold charities like these. See the highlights/bits here
...yea I'm not gonna even sugarcoat what the hell happened. It's all over news on what people experienced. For the sake of my own (and the others who wants their poor souls intact), I shall leave the happenings there in words rather than visuals. Not even words actually. I'll just SKIM the damn thing because so much sh*t happened at the VMAs... Miley Cyrus...what the flying f**k was she thinking? I'm almost speechless on what she just did. I actually stopped the damn video just to watching more of that monstrosity. I feel so bad for the kids that had to experience that. I hope you're all having the same feelings as I am. It was just...gah. I can't even anymore...
I have this annoying program called Coupon Drop Down. It's the most annoying ****ing thing ever. I followed every instruction out there, but it's still on my computer. Especially on YouTube. I could use some help. If you don't know what it does, it basically underlines some words on a website you're currently on ad if you hover your mouse over it, it brings up a large and annoying screen with an advertisement on it. To make matters worse, it places ads on Youtube which even Adblock doesn't even work on it. It looks something like this
http://www.inquisitr.com/892079/dead-island-epidemic-zombie-moba-coming-to-pc/ ...I seriously thought they could put more effort into this game, but a MOBA game is probably the LAST thing I want from a Dead Island game. Ugh...hopefully they're gonna do something more Dead Islandy in their next game...if they get one.
SR is an electronic artist, but has a unique twists to the music and remixes he makes. It's a very mellow and melodic type of music. Some have dubstep like tones and signs to them, but most of his songs have it's own "Sound Remedy" tone to them. You'll understand once you take a listen to them.
OOC In this world today, video games are one of the biggest entertainment industries out in this world. Millions of people play these games in many different genres. In down time, these video game characters relax after a long day of being controlled by the many players out there. However, a dark evil has risen over the video game characters. It started innocently enough as a few characters were not seen. Some say there were just needed for a new patch of a game. It got so much worse. Many characters were then being to disappear as well, some extremely famous. Others are from unknown indie titles. Whatever the case may be, it caused a major panic within the gaming communities. The rest of the characters left decided to call this epidemic “The Missing Code” since they believe it’s a bad coding problem. The characters set out to find out what really happened to these characters and see if it's just a bad coding problem. They will see though that it’s a lot more than just that. Some Things to Know(If you watched Wreck-It Ralph, you should get the major jist of the rules except this RP is more focused on console game characters) -Video game characters only “permanently” die if they are outside of their game -Since there are so many copies of games out there, the industry creates one “blueprint” character. That character oversees how the other characters on discs perform and have to tend for them if the character bugs out or anything of that sort -Only one “blueprint” character is allowed at all times. There are no other blueprint characters -Console game characters and arcade game characters are not in the same community. They are both split into two hangout areas: Game Console Central and Game Arcade Central -Though arcades and consoles are split, they do still have friendly connections with each other (as well as rivalry) -Everybody Hates Teemo -GOTY characters gain extreme amounts of fame and are cherished by both communities Rules1. No God-modding/Power-Playing. I might accept it at a few times 2. Keep things around a level none over R rating (or M for gamers 3. For now, I’m only allowing people to have a max of 2 characters. This can be any 2 characters (2 heroes, 2 villains, mix of both). If the RP goes well, I may extend this limit 4. Let your shipping fantasies come true! Just make sure you have the other person’s permission 5. Killing characters is a no-no unless you get permission from me and the other person 6. Keep post lengths decent. Try not to have one-liners though it does happen to us sometimes 7. Please try to stay active or else YOU WILL DIE 8. I am NOT an RP master. Please feel free to send me requests and ideas. I might just use them 9. If you wish to use a character costume, please do. Just make sure to still sttach the original character's picture next to the costume 10. Any character works! One of my favorite artists out there on Youtube. Not only is he extremely talented, but he's also very creative on how he creates his music (he does acapella mostly). My god his songs are so catchy.
http://www.gamesradar.com/xbox-head...oft-report-says/?utm_source=fb&utm_medium=emp Probably one of the best news I have heard. This guy was a d**k. He ruined the reputation of Microsoft and XBox One and I am glad this asshat left Microsoft. There are rumors he might go to Zynga, but it's still a bunch of rumors. For now though, this is news that should please the gaming community.
I'm gonna get like bashed and raped from the gaming community for saying this, but I'm getting seriously annoyed about the whole " Three (insert random object)? HALF-LIFE 3 CONFORMED LOLZ" crap. (Let the hate burn here) I mean, Does a game deserve that much talk and hype throughout the internet and gaming communities? I have played HL2 and to be honest, I'm not sure where the urge of wanting to play HL3 comes in. But my god I cannot speak about it ANYWHERE. I get like trashed every time I try to ask people why is it worth waiting for and even threats. Seriously I have not seen such a gaming hype since Starcraft 2. And even then, they weren't going all crazy over it (well most of them). I cannot watch a single youtube video or search the web without a single "HL3 Hype" joke around. For those civilized enough to talk and not yell the crap out of me, can anyone explain why you (or someone you know) find HL3 worth dying to wait for?
Words cannot describe how awesome this guy is. He sings video game music in acapella. And how he does it makes him SO DAMN TALENTED. Seriously...take a listen for yourselves. It just puts a smile on my face.
Hmm...I'm not sure why no one really posted about this, but hey I'm excited as hell for this game. I very much enjoyed the first one and very excited to play the new one. Anyways, this is what the EA website says about the new Mirror's Edge game (yes for those wondering whether this is a sequel or prequel, it's a prequel) http://www.ea.com/mirrors-edge
A very talented channel on Youtube. If you know League of Legends, then this group is right up your alley (even if you're not). These guys take popular songs and make parodies on them based on the game. I have to say, they are extremely talented both in creativity and in talent. One of my personal favorites. Seriously doe. Her voice puts major music artists out there in shame. EDIT: That was embarrassing. I used an image tag instead of a video one :/
So where I am, I currently graduated from high school and am now entering collage. At this point in my life, I start to see things my parents do. I'm not a child anymore. As a kid, I was told life is tough and is a place where the strongest hit the top. To be honest, I didn't like that. Here's what I mean: I don't see life as a competitive place, but a place where people experience things in life and enjoy it. People live to have fun right? Even told many times how foolish I thought this was, I believed in it. It wasn't 2 years into high school that I had to face reality. People didn't care about fun, but on where they would go next in their life. I myself was forced to take AP classes and practice for SAT tests. The truth is that I'm terrified and hate the atmosphere we live in. I don't want to compete with others. For example, I loved playing the piano. It was a great thing to learn, but my parents only let me learn it so I can perform them in front of others to be judged. Same as tennis. I played so I can win in tournaments. I quit them both. I hate competing. Why? Because someone has to lose in order for another to win. It leaves a guilt in my heart when I see someone lose at competitions or tournaments. It makes me not want to move on in life because I don't want to deprive those who worked their whole lives to obtain something just to see it taken by someone else. Hell, it even makes me not want to go to collage. I'll be honest, I'm a lazy slob who cuts corners to achieve what I want. I'm selfish. I used to have this competitive attitude where I wanted to be the number one in the shortest amount of effort as possble. After seeing what I did to even get there, I was shocked to see those who worked hard just break down. It left me more hurt than proud when I won in something. Even something so menial such as video games lave me somewhat guilty (unless the other people are asshats). I know what it feels to lose. It hurts, especially when you put so much time and effort into it to see it being snatched by someone you know that they don't put enough effort into. I wanna ask you this. Am I too naive on my thoughts in life? Should I grow up and face reality? Well besides that, I hope you guys know what I mean when I say this. I'm constantly fighting with my parents, being told to face reality while I cannot let go of my view on life. I want to know how you guys feel on my perspective on life. I'm torn between 2 parts of my life. One to face it; the other to keep believing on what I have done for the last 13 years.
