Mark nodded, and set off toward the woods again, comming upon the hollow tree he had stowed his stuff in, he quickly got everything of value out, including his weapons, and then turned back to the others. "So... what now, do we wait until later, or are we going after this vampire you wanted to kill?" he asked.
Mark raises his eyebrows as he looks at Nina, "oh, really? What if I just wanted to go back to my camp and defend myself for the night?" he asked sarcastically, "of course I'm going to head off with you, we stand a better chance at killing more of our parent species that way," he said, "just let me go back to the woods so I can get my weapons."
Mark winces as he is smacked in the face, but his only reaction is to grab Sarai's arms, and help her over to a couch in the main cabin, behind the cockpit, "just sit down for a couple minutes, you'll be alright in after a bit," he said, before walking back out to Donald and Goofy, "okay, you guys, please tell me you aren't going to barf or anything, alright?"
Mark throws up his hands in an 'I surrender' motion, "sorry for offending, it has never bothered me before. So... Dhamphir, huh? That's what you call people like us?" he asked, "I've only ever met a one other, and she knew even less than I do."
Mark grinned, "good... because I think the best way to find him is to keep hanging out with all these knights and magicians, the way things are going, something's bound to happen."
Mark winces at being caugh eavesdropping, "eh, no, I wasn't heading for their den, I'm heading for the woods over there," he said, pointing with his right arm at the stretch of woods a distance away, "and so you're like me?" he asked, glancing down at Nina, "a half-breed?"
OOC: What's with the statements about life.... XD, I don't care, I'll play along. Life is Pain, Death is the Release from Pain. IC: Mark smiled, and was about to reply to the wonderful girl, she was innocent, cute, and yet knew what was right and wrong. Anyone who could hurt someone as cute and innocent as her had to be evil.... he thought... no... he knew that was right. "Sure I'll be your friend, I'll do my best to keep you from getting hurt again, okay?" he said, glancing up warily at Keel, something was off about him... well, something was off about all of them, but Keel didn't seem nearly as sane as Mark or this cute little girl was, at least to Mark's judgement.
Mark turned his head to look at Storm. Mark's face was set and determined, but something wasn't quite right in his eyes, as if something in the boy had snapped. "I don't know... You saw what he did, you saw what both of them did. I'm not sure who we can trust, but we've already started this, so we need to finish it." With that Mark turned his head to face the gates again, and strode towards them silently.
hi... just asking if I missed a post or something in Chasing Shadows, I've been over it a few times but I want to double check that I didn't mess...
"So... you sent them so that they'd spring the trap and get caught, and I'm the unlucky idiot that got sucked into it... dang... so... anyway... I guess we'd better get going, huh? Time to head off to our doom and stuff like that, right?" he said, dispelling his keyblade and turning, starting to march toward the city gate and glancing over his shoulder, "you guys comming, or what? This is your emperor we're working for, not mine."
"but you're... powerful... who could possibly keep you from entering that palace, if we can?" he asked, staring down at his keyblade, "I mean, I'm not even supposed to be with you people, but still, you sent a commoner, a few knights, and an insane guy to do something that someone as powerful as yourself can't do? What in Kingdom Hearts have I gotten myself into?!"
Mark nods softly, he didn't know much about armies, but the Emperor's story seemed truthful. Mark lowered his guard, the flames on Lionheart fading away as his arms hung at his sides, the keyblade's tip touching the ground. "Are you really powerful enough to re-write someone's mind, like she said?" he asked, glancing over at Alisha, "and why do you need people to do this for you?"
Mark stood there, stunned, flaming keyblade in his hands, he had summoned it before the fight broke out, but hadn't attempted to do anything, "dang.... how did you...?" he asked staring at the point where Fardel had vanished. A million thoughts raced through Mark's mind, not the least of which that the emperor might be just as bad as the man he had just killed, "i-is it true that your men killed his family?"
Mark leans in and whispers to Storm again: "the jerk's got a point... wait.. here, I've got an idea!" With that Mark moved closer to Alisha, "hey... I didn't get to talk to your emperor, what is this mission about and what do I need to know?" he asked, hoping vaguely that she would give him some information that the others didn't know.
Mark glances over at Fardel, eyes sizing him up, then turns back to Storm. "he's a jerk, but he looks like he'd be good in a scrap," he whispered, leaning his head slightly closer to storm as they walked, "but I think most of these knights and magic users here would be good for that." With that he pulled away from Storm slightly and just continued to walk with the group.
-Road to Church- Mark strode closer to Keel and the others, his brown eyes flicking from one to the other without him actually turning his head. Mark doesn't stop as he walks by Keel and the others, his bootsteps light and even. He tries to listen to a bit of the conversation as he passes, with a horrible attempt at making himself look inconspicuous.
OOC: is that to Mark, about Fardel, or to Fardel, about Mark?
Mark strode along, walking as close as he could to Alisha, knowing he'd eventually have to guide her, that was his job on this mission, right?
Mark sighed, he wasn't used to having others in the ship with him. "Hang on... I'll try not to smack you guys around back there again," he said. With that Mark brought the ship around in another slow turn, hopefully not with enough force to knock one of his dissoriented passengers down again, and then set the ship down on a wide balcony, about halfway to the top of the castle. Mark didn't open the landing ramp, or shut the engines down, but simply unhooked his flight harness and stood up, dashing back into the main cabin area, "are you guys okay?" he asked, looking concerned.
Mark turns his head to look at Mixt as they walk, doing his best to ignore Fardel's pessimistic atitude. "'Normal?' No... I'm pretty dang sure that this is not 'normal'," Mark said, holding his palm out and trying to will a flame into existence, "I mean... until I could do it myself, I'd never have believed that magic was real."
