"My heartless is calling itself 'Ansem' now?" Xemnas said, shaking his head. "Ugh...why did I ever write those reports under the bearded fool's name. Anyway, private? I know just the place."

He grabbed her hand and protaled them to the spire overlooking Kingdom Hearts, where two deck chairs are set up.

"I call this place The Alter of Naught. Neat, huh? Xigbar and I usually come up here once in a while to relax with some Fanta.

"It's technically not part of Castle Oblivion. It's a completely different world, even. A world that never was, so to speak. But there is a doorway back there that leads here. Xigbar and Saix are the only ones that know about it, Saix having stumbled on it by accident.

"But I've got Dusks working on this place. Once the lower levels are finished, we can move out of Castle Oblivion into this castle here. It's much bigger, and closer to Kingdom Hearts. I like to bask in its glow sometimes."

He offered Vexen a glass of Orange Soda

"We shouldn't be bothered here. Now, what news do you have for me?"

((OOC: What's my idea? When did I get an idea?

The RP Forums would be the best place. I've seen RPs that have sign-up threads seperate from the RP itself.

Oh! By the by, I've been working on an Organization XIII film script. I trust you both, so if either of you want what I have so far, PM me your e-mail. I need some critique.))

"Here," said Xemnas. "You can lie down here for a while. I need to check some things around the castle."

Naminé nodded and fell asleep on Xemnas' bed.

He smiled at her, opened his door, and saw Vexen.

"Oh! Vexen!" he said slightly surprised. "Do you need something?"

Xemnas opened a small bottle of A&W and gave it to Naminé, who was sitting on the desk chair with a blanket around her shoulders. She continued to sit there, shaking.

"Naminé," Xemnas said, "It's all right..."

"No, it's not!" she yelled, spilling the root beer all over the place. "I just KILLED someone, Xemnas! I couldn't control it! What if it was you next time?! I'm...I'm a monster..."

Xemnas looked at her sadly, and tried to remain calm.

"First of all," he said, "The Hatter was still breathing when I had him taken to the dungeons. You killed no one. Secondly, I have no heart for you to use your power on, so you never have to worry about hurting me. Thirdly, you will learn to control this incredible gift in time. I'll help you. I already swore I would."

Naminé sat with her head in her hands, then looked at Xemnas.

"Did you ever have to kill anyone?"

"Unfortunately," he replied simply. He thought of what happened the day before with Xigbar and he shuddered.

"Would you protect me?" Naminé asked.

"Of course!" Xemans said with a smile.

    "...from myself?" Naminé added weakly.

Xemnas regarded Naminé for a second, feeling a sadness mixed with a boundless affection that seemed familair and yet at the same time foreign to him.

"If it came to that," he said slowly, "I would still fade into nothingness myself before allowing that to happen to you."

Naminé's eyes started to mist over. She giggled lightly in an attempt to conceal that, and then she ran over to Xemnas and threw her arms around him, crying into his chest.

Xemnas closed his eyes, and just held her as she sobbed.

I've decided I'm writing the entire first draft, just to have something to shop around. I'm also taking the final scene out of the first post so that people aren't spoiled.

If Jim Carrey is anyone, it'll be Saix.

As for the rating, I'm pushing towards a hard PG-13. I don't think there will be anything R-worthy in it, but it'll be closer to that than plain PG.

And I don't know when it's coming out. Whenever the opportunity presents itself. I'd like it to be within the next ten years so I can retain most of my ideal cast, but even if I have to end up changing that I'm still making it someday, one way or another.

I'm thinking of scripting another scene. I'm weary about writing the entire script myself because I'm self-concious about my writing, but there's another scene I just have to get out of my head right now. How many of you want to see it?

((OOC: Sounds like a plan, Treah. Which one of us should it be?))

Xemnas looked over at Naminé, who was still shaking.

"Would you like some hot chocolate?" he asked.

    She shook her head.

"How about day-old root beer?" he offered.

She nodded. Xemnas smiled slightly and guided her towards his room, where he kept a stash.

WABBA: Well, I would hope to get Tetsuya Nomura's blessing on the story before I even thought of advancing. As for Disney, I'm hoping it'll be long enough after KH's initial popularity so they'll stay out of my way, creatively speaking. Probably ask them to release it under Touchstone so it can get a little darker.

KINGDOM-FAN: As long as it takes to tell the story, give all the characters a decent moment, and not rush anything. Probably 2 1/2 hours or more, depending on the screenplay. I half no qualms about making a "Rings"-length movie if I have to. It's not my fault some people have attention spans that can only be measured in nanoseconds.

INTOTHEDARKNESS: I might have Riku make a small cameo somewhere, but there's no way I could fit him into the main plot and still tell a good story or do his character any justice. If there was going to be some sort of sequel (and there'd have to be a REALLY good plot for me to consider THAT), I'd bring him in fully.

Well, I did reply to the original post, but I'm going to state my idea on the casting that you just brought up.

    Specifically, that is the point.

See, it started out by thinking that whoever played Xemnas and members II-VI would have to play Xehanort and the six apprentices in the prologue, for a short amount of time.

And Roxas will appear as Sora VERY briefly in flashback.

And that got me thinking about how cool it would be to have the people playing Xemnas and Roxas, who are the leads, be the people who voiced their original SOMEBODIES in the game.

And that lead to me choosing Billy Zane (who I think is the best out of the many Xehanorts), and Haley Joel Osment (who is a much better actor than Jesse McCartney). Plus, I think those two actors look more like their respective parts.

It's flipping it on its head, which I love to do. I hope that makes sense to everyone.

((Well, I'm not leaving at all. I'd be willing to pick up some of the other characters, at least temporarily.))

"You don't have to babysit anyone," said Xemnas. "She's my guest, I'll see to her. I just need your secrecy."

He looked over to the still form of the Hatter

"And take him down to the dungeons. He probably won't cause any more trouble, but just in case..."

SORADOOD: I hate Jesse McCartney. He wasn't bad at doing the voice, but I don't see his face.

FOXXIE: Some events will mirror the game, especially the order in which most of the members are destroyed, but for the most part it's supposed to be more or less removed. And as for who to play Naminé, the first person I'd talk to would be Hayden Pannettiere, following the "Let's-Have-The-Nobodies-Be-The-Actors-Who-Originally-Voiced-The-Somebodies" trend I started with Xemnas and Roxas.

PRINCE OF DARKNESS: Dude, just watch one episode of "Psych!" and you'll get why Axel has to be Roday. Scroll down to see why I don't think Carrey would be right for him.

ZEKUSHION and PAOPU: When trying to cast this, first I thought about who can look like the character, and then from there I thought "Who is the best actor I can get." Some of them were really difficult choices.

Carrey as Saix works because A) The shapes of their faces are similar, and B) I can hear Carrey's voice in my head doig Saix's monotone. He actually is a decent dramatic actor. His performance in "Eternal Sunshine" tells me he has the chops to pull this off, and his face on the poster for "The Number 23" just begs to have Saix's hair plastered onto it.

Yes, he does comedies equally well, but his comedy is in his over-the-top-ness. To cast him in one of the more comedic roles (like, say, Axel or Demyx) would allow him to go overboard and turn this into a mindless "blockbuster" crowd-pleaser. I want this film to show that I care more about the quality of the picture and telling the story the best way I can than to make the biggest dollar sign.

Depp as Marluxia seems like a no-brainer to me. He's my favorite actor for a number of reasons, and his talent would be instrumental in making this movie good. And Marluxia is the charatcer he resembles closest. And I know his take on the role would be completely different than what any of us would think Marluxia to be.

Now, Pink as Larxene came about because I had trouble thinking of a good Larxene who could convey the attitude, and also have kind of a pointed face without being ugly. My philosophy is that "Everybody Reads." Because I could think any of these people are the best, but I wouldn't sign a single one until I heard them read some of the lines and hear their take. I don't know if Pink can act or not., but if she can I think she'd be perfect for Larxenme because of her attitude. Jolie is a good actress, but I think she's too "sexy" for LArxene, and her face is too round. Larxene should be pretty, but not have movie-star looks.

And even though nobody mentioned it, I'm going to say here and now that the above philosophy also greatly applies to my choice of Mews as Demyx. I honestly don't know if he can play any other character than a Jay type, but IF he can I think he would be perfect for Demyx based on his facial structure and the way he carries himself.

ROSEY: Perhaps I will have to make some changes to my ideals based on how long it takes me to get this opportunity. However, there are wonderful advances in stage makeup that I think will keep me safe for about ten years or so, as long as nobody goes dying on me.

And as far as where this thread belongs, if the administrators think the Corner is a better spot, then I have no problem with it being moved.
