Linky With the Chancellor of the Exchequer stating that the UK is facing "the worst economic conditions in 60 years" I worry greatly for our economy : ( The Paris-based Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has said that the United Kingdom is the only rich Western country to be hit this hard by the global down turn. I mean, the economy is shrinking! D: When will this downward spiral of economic doom end, or are we heading for another Great Depression? Thoughts please.

This thread is taking this topic in a whole new direction ;o What is wrong with homosexuality? Discounting religious teachings as they are completely unfounded (i.e. have no evidence to back up their claims, no studies, no experiments etc), what is actually wrong with homosexuality? Why do some heterosexual people still cringe involuntarily when they see gay couples? Why all the hate? Why the existence of the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality, also why the allowance of its existence? Homosexuality has been documented in nature. It even plays a key role where these animals, not procreating like the other animals, take in and rear orphaned infants. It harms no-one, it is the same love that heterosexual couples share and it is fulfilling the same urges. So what is the problem? Ready. Set DEBATE D:

When I got my provisional driving licence my mother signed me up for giving blood, as well as on to the organ donor register (I have the card and everything xD) The letter arrived today telling me when and where I have to go to give blood (my mother is going to the same place to give hers). On the back is a form which has to filled in partly before you go and partly while you are there. Normal blurb about being the right weight etc etc Then there a section of when you should NEVER give blood, never being caps on the form. One of these options is if you are a man who has ever had oral or **** sex with another man, with or without protection. Is this fair? Are they saying that HIV and AIDS are only a homosexual disease? Or can they just not afford to pay for the extra screening?
