    Marriage

This is different to the base "gay marriage" thread and I hope different enough.

Basically, I was at my cousin's wedding. She is Protestant (as is my family mostly) and the pastor said that we were at a Christian wedding. This set me thinking. I was attending a Christian marriage. My cousin and her fiance had decided to be married in a church by a pastor. That is fair enough. They had a Christian marriage as the pastor said.

However, I then though. Does this not then allow there to be a marriage which is not Christian? This would make life in society so much easier in that there is Christian marriage that is a union of man and woman before God and sanctified in a church. Then there is a marriage that is a commitment between two individuals who love each other in front of the appropriate officer of the law.

If you look at it this way, you are able to keep both the "sanctity" of a religious marriage before god but it is also people for people to either get married before the state (i.e. the people) or get married if their partner is of the same sex.

I really can't see any problems with this method and I would really appreciate feedback =/

    You.

[Anyone who dislikes gay people is evil, wrong and deserves to be hated completely and utterly by all sane and rational individuals.

Those who don't agree are by definition mentally unstable and therefore should AT THE VERY LEAST be put in special institutions. I would rather they were culled out of society so that their poisonous thoughts would be unable to spread =/]

I have an Acer Aspire 5920G laptop with an in-built Crystal Eye Webcam. When I got the laptop it the webcam worked the first time I used it. Then it didn't work the next day. I was like D: So I ran around the internet trying to find out how to fix it and found an up to date driver. I installed it but it didn't work, then like a week later it was randomly working again.

At this point I was just happy that it was. Then, about two weeks ago it stopped working again :yelling: So I did what I did before, no joy. Then I found out that it worked in Skype, and I realised that it was just msn that wouldn't let me use it or see other people's webcams. So I uninstalled msn and re-installed it and voila it worked! =D

BUT IT HAS STOPPED WORKING AGAIN D: And for the life of me I can't get it working. I've installed drivers, uninstalled and installed msn multiple times and scoured the internet for fixes with no luck.

Anyone have an help or advice? :(

Start posting more in the Discussion section (I REALLY wish it was still called the Intelligent Discussion section as then users would require at least rudimentary intelligence to post, but meh) as it gets boring waiting for people to attempt to counter your side of the argument. They usually lose =]

They say it hasn't been this cold in 30 years (-20C!) and hundreds of people have been killed across Europe as a result of the freezing temperatures. And then there is this satellite photo of Great Britain.

Some places in England and Scotland got as much as 3 feet of snow if not more. Here is the Wikipedia article with a timeline and breakdown of events across the region.

Anyone have any personal tales of the snow?
