Under 25. But there are other requirements for Assassin Emblem as well. 50+ CQCs and 50 knife kills. i.e. Altair outfit = Assassin's Emblem.
There was actually one room in Shadow Moses that just pissed me off so much that I ended up just Chaff grenading the room to get through it undetected.
lmfao. I love this post.
You can't CQC while using the machine gun, which was the point I was making when I said the hard part of doing the no-kill run during that battle is accidentally hitting a PMC while firing at the Gekkos. I already finished my no-kill/no-alert run; I was just commenting on the question that asked if Gekkos counted toward kills.
Well, killing the Gekkos isn't a problem. It's just mistakingly hitting the PMCs during the crossfire if you're trying for a no-kill run. You can take out their armored forms with your weapons. But when they're out of their suits, feel free to use your Tranquilizer. I might consider doing a no-kill run without using the tranquilizer gun.
Killing Gekkos doesn't count toward your kill count. I thought maybe they did, but during that chapter with Drebin, you *cannot* move forward unless you kill the Gekko. The game *forces* you to take these out. So don't worry about killing them, just watch out for any ridiculous soldier who is stupid enough to walk into the crossfire of your machine gun. I remember cursing cause I was taking out a Gekko in front of the tank, and an idiot soldier climbed up the front and went right into the machine gun. I finished my no-kill/no-alert run two nights ago so the frustration is still fresh in my mind. >=|
Sure. The Raiden fights were always awesome. But there are a vast variety of scenes that I wouldn't have minded watching again. And the move he did is called a Windmill when he takes out those Gekkos. Also when he faces Vamp, he does a Flare on his Katana--another breakdance move, although it's also in gymnastics. --- Spoilers: Highlight at your own risk --- - Emotionally driven scene with Naomi revealing of her terminal cancer and her subsequent syringing to end her life with Otacon bearing witness (even if a part of me found his wailing slightly amusing) - The FROGS first appearance back in the Middle East - The cheesy, yet enjoyable gunfight between Meryl/Johnny vs the FROGS on Outer Haven - ANY of Snake's CQC sequences. - The build-up scene before the motorcycle chase in Eastern Europe. Very awesome. --- End Spoilers--- All in all, there's a crap load of AMV material in that game. I don't have many problems with MGO, but I haven't played much because there's hardly anyone playing. That, or people ended up leaving (mostly d/c from what I can tell). I'd start off with a 8 person Free-For-All, to a 3 on 3 Team Deathmatch, to a 2 on 1 (two vs me) Rescue Mission--which I hilariously won.
Hard to explain, but if you bring your cursor to the top edge of your start bar, hold the left-click and drag it downward, you can collapse the start bar altogether. Bring your cursor as far to the bottom of your screen as possible, then hold the left-click and try dragging your mouse upward.
I was quite surprised to see that for a game that had an incredible amount of cutscenes, a Theatre Mode was completely absent. O.o There are a lot of scenes I'd love to watch time and time again without having to play through the game again to see it. Anyway, I enjoyed it. Kudos to Kojima.
The rod between my loins.
If only I had known being able to try out the beta would require preordering MGS4, haha. But since it's a 2 week beta, I guess I'll just let it pass and wait for launch. MGO might just be the first game I start playing regularly on PSN.
Multiplayer in SA was pointless because the game didn't have a large emphasis on it. But with GTAIV, we're talking a full-blown multiplayer scene on XBL and PSN with 1-16 players on the map simultaneously with the option to play several different modes. I'd say there is a large emphasis on GTAIV's multiplayer this time around. That being said, any game that wants to sport 16+ players online to me should support splitscreen multiplayer. It makes little sense to me to not provide the maximum amount of options for multiplayer gameplay when you're intending to service a large number of people at a time. COD4 failed massively on meeting this, but that's another story. But again, it's well justified to me that it's not a question of Rockstar not wanting to do as it is just them not being *able* to do it. The system just can't handle doing splitscreen with a sandbox of GTAIV's caliber, but a perfect 10 is just not accurate. Reliability is a perception. I disagree more often with IGN's ratings than I do the opposite. By saying IGN is more reliable, you're saying their opinions on games are 'the norm' or 'the right'. Putting aside TMM's dimension of business agenas, what IGN may like may not be agreeable with others (myself in particular can attest to this). IGN is opinionated (again, incredibly biased to gameplay) like the rest of us. If IGN's tastes suit you, then that's fine--just it'd be unwise to take that affinity for IGN and call it 'reliable' judgment of video games.
IGN is biased toward gameplay. That's why Assassin's Creed didn't fair well with them. IGN praised FFXII and gave it 9.5. That alone explains enough to me just what IGN looks for. IGN isn't the hardest reviewer site. They have priorities/preferences. All gaming websites do. That's why I read them all. I am a little surprised to see GTAIV get a *perfect* 10. No splitscreen multiplayer is ouch, in my opinion. Sure, I won't deny that asking for splitscreen for a sandbox game of GTAIV's caliber is a bit much, but I don't think that warrants it a perfect 10.
*sits in the U in f*ck* Check your PMs, SA. It's a long one. =| I also want to say 'you're amazing' before you read it.
Yeah, I tend to sex change my characters a lot it seems--several times in the same sentence! Creativity just leaks out of me. EDIT: Just a little update for those who already didn't know or haven't been keeping up on the blog, the fic has gone live on fanfiction.net and the first arc (Chapter 1 to 10) has finished. The second arc (Chapter 11 onward) will begin being posted starting next Friday. I review each chapter before posting it on FF.net and consequently, every now and then I've had to insert/remove new lines/dialogue/paragraphs into chapters to better consolidate the story. That being said, the chapters posted on FF.net are the revised/revamped final versions. These occasions are few in number so far so there isn't any dire need to read them all over again to understand the little bits and pieces that were changed/added. However, if you do want to read them again to see what has been changed, feel free to visit the FF.net link of the fic here: Kingdom Hearts III: The Revival Don't be shy to leave a review if you take the time to read. ;3 My finals are done so I will start get back to working on the fic again so hopefully Chapter 19 will be out to you soon. Thanks again for all the continued support! StupidAquarius, if you get to read this, I hope the commission you accepted from me is going well. ;D
I haven't been working on the fic because university is demanding of my time. I'm currently in the midst of my exam period so I won't be working on the fic at all until after the 24th of April. I apologize for the long haul between chapters; I haven't forgotten about the fic at all! And thanks for the continued support.
In good time. After finals I'll focus more on it. It is live on Fanfiction.net already, however, unless you're adamant on reading it until after it's finished. lol
It becomes illegal when you start making money off things that aren't yours. Common sense that you aren't supposed to profit for other people's work. If you're just ripping music for your own pleasure, then do whatever the hell you want.
Nope. I've been writing the same KH3 fanfic for almost two years this coming July. And there have been people reading it since February of last year. lol.
QFT. The majority of the rep that just gets tossed around this forum is completely arbitrary anyway.
