I figured out a way with which you can change your password on Pottermore. Click the "Forget Password" link. :=D:
Basically, a clue is posted on the Pottermore homepage for roughly an hour each day (at different times each day). You figure out the answer to the clue, follow the instructions and you should be lead to the "Magical Quill". You'll be able to register when you find the quill.
