Preparing to move to China for a year this August. I already took my family vacation last week to the Jersey Shore (Cape May, to be exact).

Hopefully this is an advanced enough notice. For the best backstory just click this. If you didn't (or TL;DR'd it), I will be starting a new job in August teaching English to children in China, my "boss" being a certain famous King we all know here. My tentative start date is anywhere from August 2-September 2 of this year, and I will (supposedly) finish my contract (quiet.) October 2013. I don't even know when I'm flying over there yet. Here's why I'm saying it's going to be spotty. It's China. Unless you're in the know and can work around it, a majority of sites will be blocked. I'm not sure if this one will be, I'll try getting on a couple of times once I've landed there (and if I have Wi-Fi in the hotel and/or new apartment). If it turns out that I can't access the site, consider it a leave of absence of sorts. If this happens and I can get on MSN, I'll be sure to let people know. In the meantime, I'm telling everyone that wants to to add me on Skype if you still want to get in touch with me and face chat (but only if you really wanna see my ugly mug). Here's hoping I can still stick around.

Y'know, it's a good thing you mentioned that. I haven't tried any of the games in my collection yet, or anything on Steam, on the new machine. Good to know they might not work like I'd like 'em to. Granted, I had bought it more for artwork/ work stuff while overseas. Unless there's some way to swap out the graphics chip...(but I'm not nearly tech-savvy for that)

It has plenty of space for anything I need to do on it, runs fast (it handled my Tumblr blogs like nobody's business) and has a bunch of fun little perks that I keep surprising myself with. I paid $500 for mine, and actually got it during a deal where the store gave me Office 2010 and a year of antivirus free when I bought it, so it's right in your budget. The only things I don't like about it are the keys are a hair smaller than what I'm used to, and the webcam's kind of fuzzy, but if you're not going to be using the webcam much I wouldn't worry about it. It also feels bigger than what is listed, but it's actually quite light. If you want to read more about it, you can read the review I posted which goes into more techie detail (username Nashida). If the deal I got hadn't presented itself when it id I might have sprung for a Dell Inspiron. I've had very good luck with Dells, still do, as my old laptop was a Latitude D620 that I've had for over 6 years now and still runs like it came right out of the box. But a Dell wasn't in the deal I found, so I went with the Samsung.
Since I'm still stuck in the parent's house (lol poor) I used theirs. Don't be schtealing schtuff. Although I'll be getting my own place in a couple months, which will be admittedly smaller than this (it's a single-floor ranch)

Not good. And what probably won't help is how careless some people can be when it comes to intimacy. All it takes really is one wrong move, one careless mistake. I think that's what scares me the most about this.
I tried to catch it here, around 6pm, but the weather has been spotty at best so there were too many clouds to actually see anything. Now, it's too dark out. I've missed it. And there won't be another one until...what, 2117?

Looks to me like Nintendo's trying to corner the market when it comes to those games that aren't platform exclusives. This would be interesting...if it worked. How do you program a unit so it works on more than one system?
Just for fun today, I tried on the dress I wore to my high school graduation to see if it still fit. When I first wore it, it was a little snug. Six years (and two days, this Monday) and almost 50 pounds later, not only does it fit, but it looks GOOD. Thought I'd share my "feel good" moment of the day.
Now, if there had been more questions about, say D&D, this would be way different. Not sure what else to say about it right now. Probably shouldn't have done it so soon after waking up.
