I would prefer them to go down the original story route again- there could be endless possibilities this way, whereas there's only so much you can do with movie storylines without treading the same ground over and over. Hoping they take a break from worlds like Agrabah, Atlantica and Halloween Town, etc anyway. I mean, how many times have we seen them now?
Hey I really like those little crowns on the category icons. They're cute ._. The rest of the theme just...does not blend well together. It would maybe be all right if they had the box art background as a whole (and maybe even expanded with other characters and keyblades?), but with the grey it's just blegh.

Honestly, it was never Disney that drew me into the series. Even when I was a kid it was more the original characters and world settings that I liked. I think the game would still have seen relevant success as a lot of fans of SE's other series would've been drawn towards it, but at the same time with Disney you have the best of both. As Dredica said, though, I feel that KHII did a good job with the Disney worlds - they actually had the main plot with the Organization amalgamate into the separate stories of each world with the members interfering, as well as other villains. This comes across better than KH & CoM where they felt very detached outside the stories in Traverse Town, Hollow Bastion, etc. But yes tl;dr more original worlds to balance things out more pls.
Holy crap, I though Ghibli were mega. I had no idea they'd been losing revenue. Definitely sad to hear, but things like this are expected if you're losing money and staff to produce movies. Hoping this doesn't actually lead to the dissolution of Ghibli. Maybe they do just need time to think things over, and like they say even go back to try and monetise more on their older titles while putting new movies on hiatus, at least not as an indefinite.

I think I already signed it ages ago. I'm extremely pessimistic about this since we're talking about Bamco here. They don't give a damn about what their Western fans want.
I actually just noticed that they're using CGI for the character portraits. I know it's still early in development and it all could change, but I'm hoping they stick with the animated look for that one like all of the past games have done.
Yeah tell me about it... Honestly, if they're using this trash to test the water when it comes to other Digimon games then holy fuck am I going to be pissed.

It's cool, I can totally see where you're coming from, and at least you've given valid reasons as to why you don't like it. I can't really get in to the whole shonen tropes thing since it's been so long. I guess I worded my original post wrong and it should've been I 'liked' it- I hold it in the same vein as Naruto and Bleach in that I read the manga/watched the anime when I was younger, but now I no longer do. But I did like them at one point. These days I just enjoy playing the Reborn fighting games on the PSP. :v
