So we let him be a prick, and then when **** goes wrong and people get banned, rep is ****ed with, he gets to explain again, for the hundredth time, that he wasn't serious and people need to stop taking him seriously? No, I think he should take the hint.

Agreed. Also having a specific section for anything will cause it's frequent browsers to feel more control over the discussions and god forbid an argument broke out, it probably wouldn't be pretty.
