Cloud3514... I just want to say that I immediately respect you. I've just punched Concerto Moon into youtube, and have started listening to them. I can truly hear the blend of Far East and European influences. It makes for an incredible sound. So I can solidly say that such an artist is one that I could easily immerse my interests into.

I think, at this point in time, I think my favorite Japanese musian is pianist Hiromi Uehara, and her band, Sonicbloom. She, and her band by extension, draws influence from progressive, fusion and jazz genres. When I first listened to them, I likened it to Pat Metheny and Dream Theater blended together (basically, my two favorite American artists packed into one). It makes for a very interesting sound. Driving in the manner that a prog metal/rock band would be, but with that laid back sound of Metheny's fusion music. And of course, there's certainly a callback to Hiromi's Japanese roots put into the mix.

    Have a listen.

The fun of that though is when the player is exposed as not being able match up to the claim. Martial ability, and in my opinion the capacity for magic, should be maintained within an RPer's ability to play. And when it's not, it sticks out A LOT. I hate seeing the most powerful character in an RP being played by the most untalented/unmotivated player who cab only put out three sentences on a good day. A person playing a god should at least be able to pump out two paragraphs with consistency.

I must say I also hate it when people use "time" as their power. In KH it's not so bad, what with stop and all; but even then it needs limits. But when people go anywhere and decide that since they have the power to control time, it must work that way for them so thy can use it. Relativity pokes holes all over that one.

I'm a actually a little bit surprised no one around here has mentioned any of this just yet. Anyways, I've been watching all of the tracking on hurricane Irene, which made its way through he Caribbean earlier in he week. It's made landfall on the east coast of the United States, and is on track to threaten the Northeast. In particular, New York City is projected to get hit hard, and in fact, the entire city is being told to evacuate; according to reports, it's the first time a massive evacuation has been issued to the city. It's also projected to hit New England pretty hard, even inland.

And this is coming in the wake of an earthquake that shook up Washington DC earlier this week.

So what in role playing, this activity that we enjoy engaging in so much, gets under your skin? What things in RPing, whether inconsiquential, or truly unsavory and unprofessional, make your blood boil whenever it rears its head out from the thick?

Currently rewriting a KH-Based character. Should be well off for this. I take it that this going to operate as a typical roleplaying tournament would?

Then I'll probably go with something more towards KH style.

A tournament you say? Sounds like a plan. What sorts of character would you prefer?

I would definitely do this if it gets lift off. If not for Season 1, but for 2, if it gets that far.

001's first sensation after piling through the new enemy was that of their body flipping over behind his. Shortly after, not even a second later, a new sensation of cold, rough snow crunching into his body hit him. It might have been refreshing, had he not spent the last day trudging through the stuff; instead, it felt bitter and undesirable. Partly out of not wanting to stay under his cold blanket, and partly out of not wanting to leave himself open any longer than he needed to, he hoisted his built body back up. Once on his feet again, a wheeled around, intending to finish the fight once and for all.*

He was slightly shocked to find that his enemy had gotten back to his feet as well. 001 reminded himself that the man had already survived an onslaught from several of his counterparts. Odds were, they were anything but a human; most likely, 001 thought, he was another cyborg, another one that the rest had been unaware of as they escaped. But in the end, what he was mattered less than who he was. He was still foe attacking friend, and had to stopped.*

001 leaped into action, charging across the short distance between him and the opposing cyborg. His intentions were simple to carry out and effective as well. He would take hold of this other cyborg, gripping him in a tight bear hug, and squeeze him until he either went down, or begged for release. If that didn't work, then he would use the machine gun built into his shoulder to blast the cyborg to bits.

((Sorry I'm so late getting to this. After this, Fayt may take the pleasure of powerplaying his way out of this situation or taking it as is. If he chooses the former, he may leave 001 incapacitated, and the others may do as they see fit with him; he the latter happens, then everyone else can just keep him around as an NPC. I'll be back in about 2 weeks)).
